You find nothing magical anywhere in the room besides your gear. Listening carefully the wailing sounds like someone crying uncontrollably.
Anaba Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
Buchart Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Cela Perception: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (15) + 19 = 34
Fernleaf Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18
Rolande Perception: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (12) + 19 = 31
Sekkim Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
A careful search (everyone taking 10) of the room, finds no secret passages or anything else of note. The weapons and armor from the skeletons are rusted and have the broken condition. The mural is faded and is a picture of the hero Kassen the village is named after, but nothing much to note about it.
Who is carrying what?
4 days worth of rations
3 large, comfortable pillows
3 quivers with 10 blunt arrows - FYI full damage vs skeletons
2 flasks of lamp oil
full waterskin
2 smokesticks
2 backpacks

I will take a quiver of blunt arrows for sure. And try to roll up a comfy pillow with my backpack and some nifty rope use.
Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Chaotic Neutral = Guns Blazing :)
Tanks to the front, Magic users behind readying offensive spells. I will knock a blunt arrow in my shortbow and be ready for what I assume will be an undead assault.

I am able and willing to stealth away if y'all prefer. I do have night vision, but undead do not usually appear in the infra (heat) spectrum.
I prepare myself for anything. I seem to be able to hear some things better... Strange....
I point my finger at Sekkim
"Thanks Sekkim" I whisper. I listen for a reply and point and whisper at each party memeber, my little halfling brain trying to grasp what is happening.

This is from http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/m/message:
You can whisper messages and receive whispered replies. Those nearby can hear these messages with a DC 25 Perception check. You point your finger at each creature you want to receive the message. When you whisper, the whispered message is audible to all targeted creatures within range. Magical silence, 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal (or a thin sheet of lead), or 3 feet of wood or dirt blocks the spell. The message does not have to travel in a straight line. It can circumvent a barrier if there is an open path between you and the subject, and the path's entire length lies within the spell's range. The creatures that receive the message can whisper a reply that you hear. The spell transmits sound, not meaning; it doesn't transcend language barriers. To speak a message, you must mouth the words and whisper.[

When/if everyone agrees to go forth, I will open the door if possible: up to and including using the end of my bow to open the door (once unlatched)if necessary.
Also, if possible, I want to use Stealth to skulk, slither, creep and otherwise quietly seek the darkest shadows and hidden corners that I see.
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Failing that, I will swat the first thing I see with double short sword attack (if melee) or bow fire (blunt arrows for skellies, pointed ones for anything else) if ranged. As always, I seek to be able to flank and surprise my foes whenever possible.

Throwing reckless actions to the wind, Fernleaf slowly and quietly opens the door with his bow and peers inside. This large chamber contains a maze of pillars that obscure the far side of the room. Next to the door is a pile of empty saddlebags and three brooms.
The sound of wailing can be heard more clearly with the door open from the North-West

Fernleaf likes the sound of the Fernleaf Show. Also very busy workday. My apologies for delay
Smiling inwardly, I will move toward the glowing arrow in the corridor.
"Maybe this has meaning?" I observe the area in front of me, stealthily, of course.
I am taking Cela's kitty - we really need to name him/her - which was instructed to guard me for the moment.
Also, I want to use my keen skills at seeing things and take a close look underneath the kitty to determine sex. I will get as close as kitty allows.
"What is your name, great beast?" I ask.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
We not only do not know the name, we don't know the sex OR species. I will take this opportunity of kitty-as-guard dog to learn more about this useful and noble beast who has so far been so disrespected... ;)
This occurs before we get to the door, btw.
I end my actions with prepping for impending doom. I especially imagine being devoured by something large, which makes my tummy ache a bit. I am armed with both short swords. Also, I will have borrowed a smokestick from Cela and am prepared to use it.

Taking a close look at the undercarriage it is clear Kitty is a female. Inspecting the tail, large claws and big sharp pointy teeth you are certain she is a beautiful lioness who will grow more fierce as Cela's abilities grow. She lets out a low growl and licks Fernleaf to assure him she is both dangerous and cuddly. She cocks her head sideways when asked her name seeming to not understand full sentences in common. Meeeooooww??
Looking at the 3rd page of Cela's character sheet reveals her tricks, species, skills and stats as well...but alas no name other than "Animal companion" (whats up with those Druids anyway? I hear they name their children "Kid", "Child", or just say "Hey you" then send them into danger).
backed you up a bit
Moving a bit further down the hall reveals a switch set into the North wall at about Fernleaf's height. It is in the down position. See "s" on the map
