Right-o
Sling at the yellow puppy 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 for 1d3 ⇒ 1 damage
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 for 1d3 ⇒ 1 damage
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 for 1d3 ⇒ 2 damage
Not a complaint, but the step up in pace really caught me off guard.

Nilus Romani |

Nilus moves up to the Green Hellhound and swings at it with his longsword.

PWLongsword: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Yea just one of those nights lol
Hell Puppy Stats. So I don't have to look it up every time. Nilus the Smite good just gives a +1/+1 right? Just like the summoned evil riding dog.

Nilus doesn't raise his shield in time and gets a burn across the shoulder from the gout of flame.

Nilus destroys the Hellhoud's head and neck with well placed blows!
Your next bub, that fire smarts.
Nilus says with a growl to the "Mummy"
Nilus 5' steps over the dead Hellhound to threaten the Mummy.

Sorsha Brittleflower |

Sorsha drops her sling, draws her daggers and advances five feet.
I'm posting sneak attack just in case yellow is flanked. If he isn't then please ignore.
Sorsha stabs the yellow dog, twice.

Garrand |

"We may as well take the gold and leave the heavy stuff here. Nilus, you should drink the potion.
The MW Studded Leather with an armor penalty of 0 would be pretty nice for someone
"I'm out of first level spells but we can go on if you wish."

Nilus Romani |

What are these first level spells you speak of? Perhaps I will drink this potion so it raises my hit points. Nilus says, snarkily
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
I'll update the loot log later

![]() |

Whew. Adria just stood around looking confused I guess.
Well Garrand, I've got almost all my own spells still since you did all the work this time. What the hell do we know of that could bore tunnels like this?
knowledge history: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
knowledge arcana: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
knowledge religion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Nilus Romani |

Loot log is updated, I assumed we only took the masterwork items, thieves tools and the gold. Lets get this party going some more, Nilus is ready to rumble!

Garrand |

Garand will try to determine what may have carved the tunnel

A few months ago Adria had a comfortable life in the Asmodean library. Ready ancient cult books. Killing innocent animals. Crawling through dungeons slaying monsters and hell hounds wasn't where she expected she would be. Just how does one turn a regular dog into a hell hound? she wonders looking over the alchemical gear. No need to answer GM. Just breathing character into the thread;)

Nilus Romani |

Good point songsmith. Nilus says practically
Nilus shifts in his armor uncomfortablly, he seems eager to be off

Sorsha Brittleflower |

To complete the knowledge rolls: Knowledge (local) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
"There's a passage more or less in front of us, but we also left a closed door behind us. Do we want to boldly go where no halfling has been before and ignore the closed door or do we want to clear the area before moving on?"
Looking at the map, there's what appears to be a door directly opposite the stairwell we came down. I do not remember any of us going through that door.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Sorsha is right you have not gone through that door.
While you stand here discussing Adria pulls out her curved blade and begins to cut open one of the dogs and examine it.

Garrand |

I never said anything about opening it!
Withdraw! Garrand withdraws back to where his token is currently (and hides behind the cleric!)
"Guys... I have good news and bad news. The bad news, there are four wolf skeletons behind that door. I was lying about the good news."

![]() |

Funny, cutting into the hell hound is exactly something I picture my sick little cleric actually doing.
Adria looks up from her work. Gha! Nothing ever changes. Every time a simple librarian wants to dig into some research something comes up. 'do you know where I can find a book on oversize Teifling Claws?'. Library patrons can be so annoying.
Adria stands up and brushes her bloody hands on her suit.
Friends, I don't think this is a dog. I think it might be a Teifling. Or what's left of one.

Nilus Romani |

Nilus, relieved to see something he can hit, lifts his shield.
Alrighty then, lets do this

![]() |

hahaha
Don't worry, songsmith, I will protect you. Adria casts spiritual weapon. A vicious little daggar appears and starts shredding the dogs.
holding dice rolls to see how Dave wants to handle the combat. For all I know that standard action was enough time for 3 of them to eviscerate me.
