If anyone is having trouble signing in to Paizo (especially if you are in one of the Specials) clear your cache and you will be able to sign in!

I had to do a bit more than that. I had to clear the cache for Paizo, kill the browser, open the browser, and log in under My Organized Play.

Probably other ways, but that is what worked for me.

Could someone explain what it means to play on a discord server? Does that mean that you are playing remotely or are going a PbP on another platform?

Either. Both are possible on Discord: live voice, live chat, and asynchronous chat as PbP.

Outpost is specifically a PbP convention, so any games listed are going to take place in a text channel on a Discord server.

Play-by-Discord (PbD) specifically refers to PbP but using discord for in-game and OOC chat. Often google slides is still used, there is a dice bot that the servers use to handle rolling. There's some trade-offs with PbD, like it is more mobile friendly, GM's can "ping" players to send notifications to their phones that they are up. One notably downside is that there is less permanence since PbD channels get archived and eventually deleted so it is harder to refer back to one of your character's posts unless you happened to save the channel log.

There are also live games that use discord's voice chat feature but we generally just call those VTT (virtual tabletop) games to avoid confusion.

I am about to hit 2nd level with this character who is a dragon blooded sorcerer [gold] and I want to go dragon disciple. Is it possible to use the bloodlines of the wrymblessed sorcerer instead and remain as an arcane sorcerer?

In theory, 12th? I believe that is the highest level content you can play as an actual character.

Edit: My bad, currently 10th. I need to get back on updating my scenario tracker for 2E.

Hey folks, got a quick question on forum stuff. I've recently left a pbp game that is still active and the GM is trying to remove me from the list so it doesn't hang around in my 'active' threads. Can anyone type out a detailed way to do that cause i've never had to deal with it and the GM in question can't recall how, and Paizo's search bar is... well not exactly the best when finding this kind of answer?

If they go to the campaign info tab and hit edit, they can access the player and character lists with an option to unselect your alias as active. You can also hide the gameplay thread yourself and it should remove the campaign from your campaign tab.

Thank you, i found out i could hide it myself shortly after asking by digging through the forums and using the little null sign on the side, but i'll pass on the info so they know in the future.

PaizoCon 2022 Announcement
Great news everyone! PbP games will continue to be incorporated into PaizoCon Online 2022!!!

We will have a total of 45 PbP tables at PaizoCon. (PbP will have access to the new scenarios also releasing at PaizoCon as well as Author-ran tables)

PF1E (4 Scenarios)
PF2E (20 Scenarios and 6 Bounties)
SFS (15 Scenarios and 6 Bounties)

Judging by the AP sanctioned content, I would assume so. Once the scenario library can sustain a route to those levels, I'm sure we will see some 11-13 and 14-16 scenarios released, all the way up to the highest level they can support.

I think this was added to the store in the past couple days, but a 9-12 scenario was just added to the pre-order list

How does one, in PFS play, move up in an organization. I am looking at the Knights of Lastwall archetypes. Say I have a bard that wants to go knight vigilant . He needs to be of at least knight rank in the organization.

Simply purchase the "Secondary Initiation" boon for 2 AcP one time to gain access. That's it, you ignore the rank requirements with it.

I wanted to inform you all that we have a bit of the transition within the VO team. VL Michael Hallet will be slowly transitioning out of the VL role in the coming months. He has increased opportunities in real life that he is going to pursue. He will still be found around the many PbP Lodges playing and GM’ing so he won’t be disappearing completely.

Please send out your heartfelt thanks to Mike either here or on Discord (MichaelHallet#9245) for all of the fantastic help and assistance he has provided the PbP Community. Mike was instrumental in helping get the registration, signup sheets, Con Support, and scenario Support all linked together and ready to go for each of our PbP Cons. Mike also was a key player in helping get the initial PaizoCon Online up and going on short notice when COVID started. This helped get a large portion of the world shifted into online play so that games could continue earning him his Campaign Coin (#837)

With Michael Hallet leaving that means we will need to backfill that position. I am excited to announce that Brad Grinstead (bigrin42, bigrin42#2231) has accepted the position. Please send out congratulations to Brad as he will help the team look over all of the Discord Lodges to help foster continued growth and fun events.

There was a recent errata to the APG that changes a couple of bigger things. I will go over them below. There were many other changes so please look over the errata and FAQ page.

This posting or place is not to devolve into arguments on the changes but rather to let you know. I completely understand how this could stir up some argument but please take those to the appropriate forum locations and not here.

1. There's been some confusion over whether an independent familiar can use abilities that require a command, like valet, or whether the independent ability overrides the normal rules for mounted combat. To make clear that neither is the case, add "This doesn’t work with valet or similar abilities that require a command, if you’re capable of riding your familiar, or similar situations."

(This will mainly affect the Sprite Heritage with Corgi mounts. Corgi familiars can be independent. When a corgi is being ridden, it is following your PC's lead, and therefore does not apply any of the benefits or effects of being independent. In short when a Corgi is ridden Independent does nothing. When not ridden it can be independent)

2. Sentinel Archetype's Armor Specialist feat had a stray Skill trait due to an error. Remove it.

(So if you took the Sentinel Archetype and Armor Specialist as a skill feat then it is now illegal and will need corrected right away.)

Change illegal feats (and any dependent feats) for free in the case of this Sentinel Archetype, but will still require spending downtime or AcP if you want further changes (so, in essence, you can swap out the Armor Specialist for free but if you want to remove the Sentinel Archetype entirely as a result, you'll need other rebuild options)

Regarding where the information is posted, for PFS2 and SFS, they have their own main pages on the Paizo site. At the top bar is "Organized Play." There you'll find the welcome pages for PFS2, SFS, and ACG.

PFS1 is retired from a development standpoint, so while you can play--and find plenty of games--buy the scenarios, and report the games, you won't find any significant advertising space dedicated to it on the Paizo site.

Core is played ONLY with characters using ONLY the Core Rule Book (thus "Core"). NO other options are allowed. Lots of people like it. Know that it is a separate campaign, so scenarios played/GMed in Core do not affect your ability to play/GMed in Standard and vice versa.

You can become a GM by buying a scenario and running a group of PFS1 players through it. No special requirements. However, you should read the campaign guide that I linked in my other post, at least. You can also find some more detailed GM instructions/advice in the Free resources in the Pathfinder Society Store page (GM 101 and GM 201).

Two questions about signing up for the PbP games that are part of this year's PaizoCon online:

1) I thought I had seen a notice that player sign ups begin on April 16. However, when I look on warhorn it seems to indicate that the seats open on May 7. Is that correct?

2) Once we purchase the badge for PaizoCon online, do we need to *do anything* to let warhorn know that we have it? Or will that automatically be processed through the system so that we can register for PbP games (once the seats are open for players)?

1)The dates were pushed back momentarily by Paizo. Here are the new dates.

My experience last year: I think I was promised that it would be automatic, but it took a back-and-forth with Customer Service (and 6 calendar days) to get my Warhorn registration activated.

This year, I haven't decided whether I'm going to participate in PaizoCon (since there's a local convention) but if I do, I'm definitely going to be a little more Type A about making sure I get my Warhorn activated in a timely matter. Several of the games I was targeting filled up in that week I was politely waiting for Paizo, to the point where I was considering asking for a refund.

I presume it is time to purchase the badge for Paizocon online play then.

Well Radiant Oath looks like you got your six sign ups. Can I ask what that link was too though. Is that part of the PFS thing being done here or something separate? As it seems to require a different login than the on on this site?

The link was to the signup sheet on RPG Chronicles. Creating an account will allow you to register for games (though I'm not 100% sure if an account is even needed).

I've never had to create an account to sign up but I believe one is required to edit your sign up or to use it as a GM.

Most GMs have been using it for their signups as it automatically generates the Chronicles but I'm an old fogey who sticks to Google Sheets for signups and a PDF editor for Chronicles.

Dejoker, I believe you are addressing GM Tiger, who has identified himself as part of the Radiant Oath faction.

And sadly, the Radiant Oath's small symbol image is broken (as are many of the PF2e factions.)

Alot of GM's, myself included, use this as a sort of sign in sheet to collect players information for Chronicles. It helps with the bookkeeping end for the GM's.

You do not need to create any accounts as a player just simply sign into one of the six empty fields with your characters information so the GM can contact you and let you know where the table is at.

@Dejoker- What type of games are you looking for? PFS1E, PFS2E, or SFS? I can work on getting you into a game.

GM Tyranius first thanks for asking and offering to assist. I am initially looking to get into PFS1e then perhaps followed much later by SFS and then maybe even PFS2e but not sure on the timing of the latter two.

However, I currently assimulating a lot of information as well as getting my two games up and going as well as creating a couple of characters for non-PFS games.
