Or should I get something else instead?
Comversion Fields are dandy, a weapon MIU (Shoulder mounted pistol) might be worth considering or a good quality Bionic Respiratory System (Full life support and +2 armor to body) or good quality Cyber Eyes (Dark sight and +10 to Perception(sight) rolls) might be worth looking at. Just some thoughts, I don't want to pressure you, just point out something you might not have considered.

Hmm... I never considered these. Is there a limit to what weapons you could take with a MIU weapon interface?

I think an explorator in a campaign I played in had a Multi-melta MIU weapon fairly early.

I've just looked in the RT forums, and the errata. No answers, though someone said the errata stated only up to Basic size. Couldn't find it in the errata, though.

You looked at this? The FAQ at the end has a few about MIUs

MIU weapon mounts are really just dependent on what you stick them on. I think a basic human with a mount gets up to pistol size stuff, big boys and Astartes basic weapons. Though if you have a way to transport it a heavy weapon might not be out of reach.

suspensors are handy for cancelling out weight, I know deathwatch has rules for them.

AHARHARHARHAR!
"Look at these soulful eyes..." Saying that about an Ork ... Only a real RT can hope to survive that statement ^^

I find your eyes DREAMY green gnat that SCURRIES in my FLESH. Master is wonderful.

Right now, i'm leaning towards shoulder mounted MIU, with either a autopistol,or a hellpistol.

Hell pistol is nice, high pen, but the charge packs are a bit of a burden if you plan to use it much...Depends on how GM runs ammo and charge packs.

Also, its not an MIU, its a WIU. It would connect with a weapon you've already got and the mount would be separate. Up to 3 individual components/acquisitions. But if the GM is allowing it all, I might have to take a shoulder or arm mount as well for my bolter.

are't there two components? A pistol and the WIU? The extra mount is for anything heavier than a pistol.

My plan was to get the WIU as starting, then requisition a autopistol with a test.
If this is not feasible, I will get a Conversion field

I think the mount is separate, but I could be wrong. Nothing crazy though, should be an easy acquisition.

Autopistol is a free aquire as you easily reach a modification of >=100.
+30 single person, +30get-it-everywhere and so on ^^

Male Human Bard (Arcane Duelist)

Gents! Ladies! Genderless Fungal Sentients!

Radavel hasn't posted on the website since he last posted in this thread. I'm worried about him, actually, since he's quite active. However, I have the book and the adventure in question, and I've been itching to run a game for quite a while.

So, what I propose is that I continue running whatever we have now, fairly closely to the book, so that if he shows back up, I'd be able to hand him in the reins with no problem. If he doesn't show up in, say, a month (29th November) I could try picking it up.

I think that I'm quite comfortable with running it, and while I can't promise a post per day, I will promise at least a post a week day, or one every two days, at the worst.

Unless someone objects to that, I'll do my first GM post on Monday. I've no intentions to hijack the game, as I like Khalid as a character, and I was looking forward to play him, but the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

For the Emperor!

I think it is better to give him a bit more time, say until Wednesday or Thursday, it has only been a week; maybe he just had a crazy week this past week. That being said, I am not opposed that what you are planning on doing

Male Human Bard (Arcane Duelist)

That works better, actually. So, any objections to me making the post on Thursday? I'd be busy at the start of the week anyway, and I seriously would need to practice my GM-style manically diabolical laughter.

No objections here, hope he's fine, he just got inserted into a DW game of ours, shame to lose him after only a few posts, but it wouldn't be the first time he's gone missing with no warning. He's like the terminator though, he'll be back.

Male Elfmarked Bard 5 / Warlock 2 || HP: 52/52 || AC 17|| || Init:+2 || Perception: +7, darkvision

Hopefully he shows up again, but I'd not, I am onboard.

The omnissiah praises dispassionate analysis of any given situation and as such it is the most logical solution to the absence of any given cog is to have it replaced until the original can be reinstated.

So I'm in. Hoping he's okay with it and wishing him that whatever is keeping him from posting is not too bad.

:( Hope everything is well with him.
I'm onboard.

He's "updated" in another game we are both in just today, but lately its just been a one line blip. Been almost 2 weeks here with no update, so I say if we don't hear from him today, then I'm all for someone else stepping up.

Male Human Bard (Arcane Duelist)

Alright, I'll go ahead and assume direct control of this game. A post will be coming tonight!

great.

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

Updated the information spoiler for Hexa's successes. Zoggin' kunnin' of you, I must say.

Regarding boyz accompanying the captains, it'd be... hard to convince them that it's all fine, but Footfall is notoriously accepting of Xenos. It's up to you whether you'd go, though, either of you.

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

Great posts on the info, guys. I'll sum it all on one big post tomorrow!

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

Right, so, I am a fan of quickening up play a bit. I wanted to ask you if you'd mind me rolling Initiative and Perception-based rolls for you. Shouting "Roll Perception!", is something every GM enjoys greatly, but it slows down PbP considerably.

Of course, with the introduction of Fate Points, that whole thing get weird. If you agree, you'd get my judgement whether or not I think it's important enough to re-roll, or spend that on initiative, and you can always do that as you check a post, and I'll edit appropriately.

I'll also prefer to avoid going a lot off the books with personal efforts and projects, until we're clear that Radavel isn't coming back. I'll set the date for that to the 28th, and then I'll apply for official GM-ing. (But I like my handle too much to change it, kudos if you get the reference.)

Other than that, it's now up to you to handle how you want to go to the party. I'll give you a day to PLOT! and then move forward.

I'm ok with you handling perception and initiative. Also how you'll handle rerolls, though I rarely spend fate on init if that helps.

I am fine with you handling both types of rolls.

I'm good with it.

Tech Priest Magos Explorator WS41 BS36 S43 T41 A32 I51 Per37 Wil35 Fel37 Wounds: 11/12 Fate: 3/3

I'm fine with you handling the rolls. I think it's easier not to know about the result of a perception roll anyway.

Male Elfmarked Bard 5 / Warlock 2 || HP: 52/52 || AC 17|| || Init:+2 || Perception: +7, darkvision

I just implemented a similar system in the Pathfinder game I run, for the exact same reason, so I'm totally on board.

Seems good to me.

I'm fine too, just remember I've got Auspex and can use tech use to detect things not normally able to be seen like gas, heat signatures, etc. I guess that's not a bad idea as GM, just need to gather up everyones Per/Awareness stats and then make a single roll? Or do you roll for each person? Lets see how it works.

Arch-Militant & Master of Arms of the Victus Rex

Fair enough.

Tech Priest Magos Explorator WS41 BS36 S43 T41 A32 I51 Per37 Wil35 Fel37 Wounds: 11/12 Fate: 3/3

@Tyboris
Yeah I know about basic skill use. I tried it in my first info gathering post actualy. I just don't roll well enough to expect anything from tests against 12 ~ 20 ^^"
I'll continue to use them of course but I'll try to find ways to use tech-use instead where it makes sense - not just because of the higher success chance but I think knowing a skill means the character feels at home doing the task. Just looking for ways to broaden what the character feels at home doing since our group does seem a little tech-use heavy

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

I prefer to roll them individually, actually.

@Tech-y ness, I'm usually open to homebrew, and borrowing stuff from other books, mainly Dark Heresy. In there, there's a social Tech-Priest (which rubs me the wrong way a bit, buuuut it kind of makes sense.)

If I become permanent GM, I'll be kicking things around a bit, and I'll be fine to look at side projects, Elite Advances, Alternate Ranks, ETC.

I also want to apologise to Nimina, as I've been thoroughly convinced that she was called Numina since the start of the game. Names are important!

Arch-Militant & Master of Arms of the Victus Rex

Aw sugar, it don' matter none.

In truth when I say it mostly in my head, it could go either way.
Also for some reason, she sounds more like the old Rogue from the animated Xmen of my youth every time I imagine her voice.

Tech Priest Magos Explorator WS41 BS36 S43 T41 A32 I51 Per37 Wil35 Fel37 Wounds: 11/12 Fate: 3/3

Social focused Tech-Priest does sound a bit... wrong.
But I'm open to it if the story takes Iota in that direction. Otherwise maybe just an elite-advance or two for social skills. Let's see where the story takes the characters

Male Elfmarked Bard 5 / Warlock 2 || HP: 52/52 || AC 17|| || Init:+2 || Perception: +7, darkvision

Haha, the old X-Men cartoon, I had a mad crush on Rogue back then. But what hot-blooded lad didn't?!

Originally I had PM'd the GM to take that Alt. Rank from DH, but he didn't want to allow it. Its a level 1 alt rank, Factor Of Lathes, I believe the name is, always wanted to play one in a game and for RT could have been really really fitting. I do have the "False Man" background that kind of supports such a thing for possible transition later, but it being a rank 1 alt. means theres a whole lot of training and body work, history and fluff into its preperation... Wish you had been here in the beginning to consider such requests. Perhaps if you take over permanently later on, I'd be completely fine starting a new pc, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

Yeah, we'll burn that bridge when we cross it. If I'm to take over, I'll quite possibly give you a bump in a couple of ranks, since I want to have the NPC's be bumped in a similar way, too. We'll see how it goes.

I'll also pat myself on the back for introducing Wraxus as 'Pilot'.

Backstory reading skills, activate!

*flies away*

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

I currently have to appease many unruly Machine Spirits until Christmas Sanguinala. For that, and to be able to let everyone post, I'll update by Wednesday morning (Greenwich).

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

Sorry about the late update, guys! Now is the time to explore and meet new interesting people (and not kill them, since it's severely impolite) I'll be providing you with information snippets from your conversations, and just general information, too. A rough estimate of when we're going to move forwards would be 1st of December, unless the party turns out to be much more fun than it is, or there's nothing of more value to be found (of which there is.)

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

Again, really sorry about the lack of posts the last several days, work is INSANE around the holidays!

As the deadline's drawn, I'll be contacting Paizo to ASSUME DIRECT CONTROL of this game.

Post coming in a bit.

I am confused, I only see one side of a transaction, what is being exchanged for the 10k sapiens? Which side of the deal am I acquiring?

Tech Priest Magos Explorator WS41 BS36 S43 T41 A32 I51 Per37 Wil35 Fel37 Wounds: 11/12 Fate: 3/3

Iota did not provide any information along with the slate but he does remain next to you for a few moments to answer questions in character =3
