Thank you. I enjoyed a pleasant meal of salmon steaks, roasted broccoli, homemade dinner rolls, and wine. We don't have any kids or relatives living nearby, so our Thanksgivings are always quiet, stay-at-home events. It was on Thanksgiving 23 years ago that I proposed and we got engaged.
I spent part of the day playing a new video game called Stray. I highly recommend it. You play a stray cat in a strange cyberpunk city that has been deserted except for some sentient androids.

The family is about an hour away so I went and hung out with them and ate way too much, the highlights of which included ham, dressing, broccoli casserole and more deviled eggs than most mortals could stomach!

I am reluctant to 'bot Guillame in this situation. I suspect he would make a full attack and risk AOOs from the Babau demon and the tentacle/wind beastie, but he could also use acrobatics to move out of reach and then take one shot. I'm also not sure if he would concentrate his fire on the demon, or on the beast, or split his attacks between the two. I'll wait another day and then roll random for these options.

There is an opening in another Starfinder Society PBP game just starting. It is the The First Mandate. The GM is therealthom. The campaign name is Opening the Scoured Stars Chapter 1. The plan is to go through a series of the early Scoured Stars modules. Most PCs at present are 3rd level, I think.

I'm at the end of a term, which means grading for the previous term and posting grades, plus prepping for the next class. I think it will be less time-consuming this go-round, but it I will still be a little slow for the next few days.

To save me the task of looking it up, does anyone know what the status is of a summoned creature after the summoner dies. Does the summoned creature go away, continues doing what the summoner commanded, or is it free to act independently of what the summoner commanded?

There's no rule that says the summoned creature would disappear, so I'd go with the wording found in the text of Summon Monster, which says it attacks the summoner's enemies to the best of its ability when not given other commands.

If you mean the summoner's Eidolon, that was eliminated very early and has not returned. There is a summoned demon similar to a succabus however.

I am working on Anarya's post. As you can imagine, it's gonna be a bit more involved than some.
I've updated her character sheet with her new abilities. I got my math slightly wrong, Anarya can now grant fourth level spells or lower.
Divine Source says Anarya gains two domains - GM, would you say she gets the domain powers from those domains, or just the spells?
You can grant divine spells to those who follow your cause, allowing them to select you as their deity for the purposes of determining their spells and domains. Select two domains upon taking this ability. These domains must be alignment domains matching your alignment if possible, unless your alignment is neutral. You grant access to these domains as if you were a deity. Creatures that gain spells from you don’t receive any spells per day of levels higher than your tier; they lose those spell slots. In addition, you can cast spells from domains you grant as long as their level is equal to or less than your tier. Each day as a spell-like ability, you can cast one spell of each level equal to or less than your tier (selecting from those available to you from your divine source domains). If you’re a cleric or you venerate a deity, you may change your spell domains to those you grant others. At 6th tier and 9th tier, you can select this ability again, adding one domain and two subdomains to your list each time and adding their spells to the list of those that you can cast.

It only specifies that she would gain the ability to cast spells from the domains. I would think you would only get the domain abilities if you changed your domains. I'm not sure if Anarya's oracle abilities allow her to use domains as a cleric does, so that may alter things.

Makes sense, yeah. She does not get cleric domains as an Oracle, just revelations. The spells will be more than enough help!

My posting time is going to be extra limited from Tuesday to Thursday this term. My teaching is concentrated morning and evening on Tuesday and Thursday and I have a lot of class prep to do for one class that I'm teaching for the first time. But everyone has a lot of RP to do responding to Anarya's news and planning for the next excursion into the Marchlands. Next stop will be the Wintersun Hall.

Reminder: We are curtailing the encounters in Book 3 to just those that provide the opportunity for each character to gain a mythic level. Two of those missions will also result in major advances in the plot toward Book 4.
Also all characters will gain a character level after the next mission is compete.
The next mission is set, but I'm waiting on RP from the players around what is said to Irabeth, the commander of forces in Drezen and/or to others to indicate if and how Anarya's divine ancestry is revealed. This will not make a major difference in the encounters to come, but the background story will reflect how that news spreads.
Until then, I have nothing more to post, so players, please post when you can so we can transition to the next major encounter.
I'll also post how the Storyteller tells this part of the story.

Question: was the Angel appearing and having the conversation with Anarya visible to all of us, or was that a discussion that was going on isolated to Anarya? Knowing that will let me know how to react. I am guessing we all saw it, but want to be sure.

I'll begin setting up the maps for the next adventure locating Wintersun hall. It might be a good time for someone to count up treasure gained and figure out cash at hand for purchasing items. Most anything you want will be available at Nerosyan, so go wild.
Feel free to post RP about events described in the last Gameplay about going to Nerosyan, visiting the queen, reuniting with former comrades and loves.
As I get time, I may make up a few NPCs to represent the cult of Anarya (or whatever title Anarya cares to give the group). If anyone takes the leadership feat on leveling up later, he/she/they can draw followers from this group.
I'll have a Storyteller post up soon as well.

What an incredible post, GM! I will have to think what Anarya might call her followers, and also figure out what purchases/items she needs right now.
Anarya could use that cloak of resistance +2 we found, at least. Would bump up her saves by 1. Anyone mind if I claim that?

Do what you need to do to organize the treasure list. Sell what you don't plan to use at the usual rates. Purchase what you need. If you need any magic to help enter the hall with maximum stealth, Irabeth can see to it that you have scrolls that will help. Plan your raid and post when you are ready to approach the hall. I'll set up a map.
Remember to update your profiles and headers to reflect any changes to saves and what-not from newly acquired items and from Anarya's new mythic level.

I'll be attending an advance screening of the new DnD movie this afternoon. I'll let you know what I think of it. Reviews have been generally good.

The new DnD movie is quite good. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes the fantasy genre. Plot is complex and full of interesting surprises while weaving the character's backgrounds into the story. The ending is touching. Special effects are a bit uneven and in places overwhelming as is the sound track during combat. Music score was IMHO nothing special but not bad.
People who know the 5E DnD rules may have some points to quibble over. I won't mention them, but I've read some articles that point out places where characters use powers more times than they would according to the rules. In other cases, characters don't use abilities that one would expect of a bard or druid. The combat is more like typical Action Adventure combat, with a single exceptional fighter dispatching multiple opponents, something that isn't usually possible in a game with opponents who are not many levels below the fighter. I figure it would be like how the story of the adventure might be told a century after it happened, exaggerating plot points for excitement and story telling brevity.
Still and all, much better than any DnD franchise efforts of the past, which are all pretty pathetic. There's lots of humor. If you see it in a theater, you don't need to watch the credits to the end as the only clip worth watching occurs just before the main credits begin to crawl up the screen.

In an effort to speed things along, here are a few spell suggestions for the task of penetrating the Wintersun Hall, based on what your scouting reports suggest may be needed.
Gaseous Form Wizard/Sorcerer Spell
Dimension Door Wizard/Sorcerer Spell
Wood Shape Druid Spell
Stone Shape Cleric/Oracle Spell
Earth Glide Druid or Wizard spell
Elemental Body I Wizard/sorcerer Spell
These spells would allow the group to get inside the building. Getting close enough to use the spell(s) might use other spells like invisibility etc.
If needed, Irabeth could locate a spell caster who could cast the spell or use a scroll with the spell. This would be an NPC who would accompany the group to the point where the spell is used but no more.

That would give me a chance to do one of my favorite things: create new characters. I don't get a chance to do that much any more. If Anarya wants a few NPC clerics, paladins, etc. as the nucleus of her new religion, I'll jump at the chance, even though they won't really play any major role in the game, unless someone takes the leadership feat and bulks up on followers.

Just give me some indication if you want some magic to help get in the building. You could, of course, just try to blast the door with some destruction attacks, but with the rules for hardness as DR, that might take a while.
My teaching schedule is going to be a more consistent 4 day classes on M-Th. So I'll probably do most of my posting in the afternoon or evening. Let me know when you want to resume this adventure. I have plenty of time to work on posts.

Invisibility potions or scrolls would be easy to get. Silence would prevent creatures who rely on sound for perception checks from detecting the group, although those who rely on scent or who can sense vibrations in the earth would not.

I have been having trouble motivating myself to post lately, particularly the games I GM. It's a combination of medical problems which have been making it hard for me to get a solid night's sleep. I'm hoping for some new medication options but am waiting on my doctor to review some recent lab tests, so I'm not sure how quickly that may develop. I'll try to post as often as I can, but it likely will be only a couple of times a week, mostly on weekends. Sorry for the delays, but I sometimes need to do other things when I would normally post. Hope the situation passes soon, as I normally enjoy posting regularly.
