I've done the leveling up for Nona. I've adjusted the profile and am just double checking the skill points, which are a bit complicated since she has changed ability states a few times during the level up process and gained a headband of vast intelligence.

Not much to this level up. Mostly her BAB went up 1 and she got a hex and a few more high level spells per day. The hex is Ghost Blade, which will come in handy if we encounter any incorporeal foes; as it allows 4 rounds of treating all weapons as having ghost touch and she can give this to anyone she can touch, once per day.

She has wealth equivalent to a 9th level, so I'm assuming we'll be picking up some items. The GM mentioned taking requests on items. I think Nona could use some metamagic rods or items that allow her to store spells.

lol, I have finally figured out why things looked off when I started to level. I actually made level ten last summer and updated everything except “Paladin 9” in my header! So I’m already level ten, GM!

The advancement track says everyone should be 10th level 3rd tier. We've yet to do the last 2 parts. The track says we should be tier 4 before starting the last part. Each PC was supposed to reach tier 4 with a different challenge. Ellena's was at Wintersun Hall. Would the last battle give Nona her 4th mythic level?

We should be 11th level before attacking the Ivory Labyrinth and reach 12th level before concluding the last part. And all should be 5th tier by the end of the book 3.

I was not worrying about XP and just hitting the really important locations and fights, so characters sometimes advanced more quickly to allow us to do the book in PBP format.

By the way, Nona still needs a campaign trait. The GM was going to come up with something appropriate once the character was ready. Let me know when you have any ideas.

I was planning on the fight to be Anaryas mythic trial, Saving Spoiler redacted was what I was thinking Nonas trial to be, on account of Nona being associated with Desna. Levelup plan was level 11 after resolving the "heretic" situation, level 12 in the final dungeon.

On the other hand, it feels like Nona has more of a link to the situation with the wintersuns, and Yathlara is a Kelinahat worshipper who has definitly got some good links with the espionage aspect of Spoiler redacted.

Also Nona, I dont think you added your "gift" to your character sheet yet :).

No, I am not telling you their classes, but here is what I have written down for stuff like age, height, weight etc.
I like to treat them as written by the characters in character.

Cydric:
Height 1m65, no I dont have any complexes about this whatsorever! 1m65 is a totally reasonable height for a male from a society with a high incidence of childhood malnutrition! It also gives me a really great view of Belanas bosom!
Weight: 66 kg, I swear my effing "fitness-coach/consort/get out of demon supermax prison card" somehow engineers my nutritional uptake to stay at exactly this weight.
Age: 36! And no midlife criss for me!

Ragnar:
Height 2m05, I have to admit that this puts a bit of strain in terms of procuring appropriately sized armor, but I have managed to recruit inhouse specialists for modifying protective equipment.
Weight without armor: 165 kg. Limited bodyfat, but need to maintain regular exercize to keep it that was. Overall advantadgeous, Alter self spells are typically limited to peolpe about twice your weight, and I am above the limit for some shapechangers interested in impersonating me, given that I am on the cusp of being... Innately large.
Age: 125 Aasimar lifespan good.

Trait option one Nona Reclaimer:

You seek to restore the state of Sarkoris, by extremely unconventional means if neccessary.
You gain a +2 bonus to any knowledge checks concerning the history of Sarkoris, including its military efforts during the worldwound invasion.

This trait matures into something greater once Sarkoris is recogniced as an independent sovereign nation by one Great power of Golarion, or a demigod or deity with sufficient power on Golarion.

Nona Trait option 2 between the planes:

You are aware that it may be prudent to lets the Abyss take care of the Abyss. You gain a +2 bonus to charisma based skills and sense motives against any native of the Abyss who does not worship Deskari or Baphomet, or anyone sworn to a Demonlord other then Deskari or Baphomet.
Should other Demonlords enter the war on Deskaris or Baphomets side, you also dont get the bonus against those. Should Baphomet backstab Deskari and come to an agreement, the bonus applies to him and his followers.

This trait matures into something greater once an Abyssal power enters the war to oppose Deskari.

Mummys mask was fun. Thrilled to have a familiar person. Suprisinly I am debating another Oracle. Other contenders, class wise, are a barbarian, alchemist, or druid. Any preference as I am not locked on to anything yet.

That stat is likely better than I would manage, and I do get to slap 10 levels and is it 3 or 4 mythic tiers?

And mythic makes balancing combat wonky. Im running a largely homebrew campaign set in Azlant for six players and way to many cohorts.. But even with three players and each of them being separated in a truly epic battle they bossed their way solo though what mechanically should have been a dangerous group fight.

Deciding is really hard. I do love the flipping a coin idea though.

Lootwise, the metamagic rods are wonderful of course, but happy to let Nona have them. Yath already has a lesser reach metamagic rod but can always upgrade. Other things in the list provide minor upgrades as well, but nothing huge.

Most important is any of you that are not weath by level at the moment, should take any and all that will help bridge that gap.

The party is losing (at least for a while) a powerful Oracle with a focus on healing. Nona and Ellena can do some healing, but an oracle channeling might be helpful. I too had to develop Nona for introduction into this battle, so most of us are getting familiar with high level characters with mythic abilities.

That said, we only have one dedicated fighter type. Just about anything you want to create that not a close duplicate of one of the current players should be effective.

I was the GM of this campaign until recently when Liliyashanina assumed the duties. Then I returned as to play a character, since I am interested in finishing the AP, just not as the GM. Anyway, welcome.

This is mythic, you will be op, but so will your enemies.

In terms of class suggestions:

--Desna flavored oracle (lots of promised reactivity), Desnan oracles are kind of unique in that they are quite capable ranged combatants

--Either Celestial or Abyssal Bloodrager (if Abyssal, you do not know who the source of your bloodline is. I can have soooo much fun with that as the GM!)

--Swashbuckler dip with archeologist. Be a better rouge then most rouges.

Other considerations:
--Any pet classes. The pets dont get mythic and fall of pretty hard.
--Occult isnt particularly well supported in terms of mythic, you will be going on against a lot of enemies with relevant immunities
--For your plot based tie in, it easiest if you are of an alignment thats Desna compatible, meaaning NG, CG, CN.
--I have played as an evil character in wotr before as a player, but the character became evil only after acquiring the beyond morality power. Evil alignment require considerable additional work.


Yeah I added stuff for pets cause they did not get any love from mythic. And I found a 3pp mythic path for the Occult classes cause I originally had a spiritualist and a Kineticist. Which is unfortunate cause the occult classes are great!

I tend to only play as evil aligned when I'm GMing :)

You do make a bloodrager sound fun. Not knowing things about my character is a weakness of mine. Coin said oracle. I will look through the bloodrager. The last one I played was a lot of fun. She is now the phantom to a little mycos, mushroom people, spiritualist.

I have a question on rules bending and if its a no I completely understand. There is an archetype for the Oracle, the Dual Cursed A rather horrible option but it feels like it should be similar to the sorcerers [url=https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/sorcerer/archetypes/paizo-sorcerer-archetypes/crossblooded[/url]. In that there are 2 mysteries. Would be an even split on spells. and I have not idea if this AP goes to level 20 but if it did could blend or pick just one capstone. Again, if not I tonally get saying no.

Nona will want one of the metamagic rods. I've not used a metamagic rod before, so let me be sure I understand how they work. For someone who preps spells, does the metamagic need to be applied when the spells are prepared or is the effect applied when cast? The quicken metamagic feat requires spell slots be 4 higher than the spell level, but with the rod, can the effect be applied on 5th level spells?

Nona would value either one, so if Yath wants one, Nona will take the other.

I didn't see a robe of eldritch heritage but there is a robe of arcane heritage. If the latter, Nona has no use of it, as I believe it is for sorcerers.

Of the belts, Nona has a belt of Giant Strength +2 and a Headband of Vast Intelligence +2, so the Belt of Physical Might or the Headband of Mental Superiority (I think these are the items referred to by slightly different names) would he improvements on what she has. She can offer the lesser item(s) she has to anyone who doesn't want the improved versions.

She would only want the headband if the skill bonus provided by a +2 intelligence is knowledge (geography), which is what her current headband provides.

She currently has a cloak of resistance +2 so again, if she were to take the +3 cloak, she'd offer her current cloak to someone else.

Neither of the wand spells are in her spell list, so they are not useful to Nona.

Nona has a Ring of Protection +3, so the +2 is of no use to her. If no one else wants the amulet of mighty fist or the Ring of Protection +2, she could give those to her familiar.

The main item Nona would want would be one of the rods and either the belt or the headband, although if Ellena and Yath both to divide the belt and headband, that's okay too.

Perhaps we should all designate our first choice item and then go another round to pick a second item, etc. until all items are taken. Are we dividing the gold 3 ways? Or do we want to divide it 4 ways and keep one share for treasure that could belong to the group, like potions of healing etc.

The rods are beautiful in the fact they do not require the use of higher spell slots. So with Quicken for example two flame strikes in a single turn. Only three times a day but it is rather lovely.

The reach rod is an upgrade for Yath, she could take it and give her lesser one to Nona as well as Nona taking the quicken.

We need clarification about the headband and the belt.

There is a headband of mental resilience that gives +2 to Int, Wis, and Cha. There is a headband of mental prowess that gives +2 to two of the three.

Likewise there is a Belt of Physical Perfection that gives +2 to Str, Dex, and Con, and a Belt of Physical Might that gives +2 to two of the three.

From the description given, it sounds like the former of each, giving the bonus to three abilities.

Its a heaband of resilience, +2 to all mental stats, and a belt of perfection, +2 to all physical sats.

I am ruling that the robe or arcane heritage also benefits bloodragers, and Ellena just joinked one (Dyre) as a possible additional body. He would have leveled up to 8.

You could take Ciar, but he is just a weaker version of Ellena, narratively Dyre will be more interesting. His character is also far more shapeable.

Note, you can take NPCs with you, but no more then who is expected to fight (you are the centre, I run enough NPCs anyway). The NPCs will, unless weird things happen, be 2 levels behind you and not be mythic, but they can still aid and assist or take blows.

They will listen to requests, but I run them.

They will likely die fairly frequently.

Yath can take the wand of shield for the occasion tap to increase ac on some of us. We can sell the wand of mage armor unless anyone thinks they will need it cast on them... hey, what about your familiar, Nona? Yath can use the wand of mage armor on your familiar from time to time if you wish?

My suggestions would be (and they are just suggestions of course and based alot on what you already suggested)

Ring of Protection +2 (looks like she has a +1 ring right now so our front liner getting an AC bonus would be great, Nona's familiar could get the +1 ring from Ellena)

Wand of Mage Armor (Yath can take these to use on anyone who wants it cast on them)
Rod of Reach (lesser or normal?) (Assuming this is normal, not lesser, then it would be nice to have, and she would give her lesser reach rod to Nona)

That's good. Nona's familiar is not going to be joining combat, but having mage armor cast on her would provide her with a much better AC in case she is unable to avoid being attacked. But it would only be used if we have a round or two to prepare for a battle, as I think if we get ambushed or attacked without warning, Yath will have more important spells to cast and Nona has other spells she can use on her familiar if it comes to that.

As for NPCs, Nona also has a couple of lower level non-mythic companions who could participate if we need extra people, although having a Sarkorian in the group would be personally welcome to Nona.

Note: If your Animal companions/Familiars arent doing anything in combat, they are not getting attacked.

If you send them to scout, or do things on their own, they may get... lets say that Percival the raven familiar of the Mendevian archmage... absolutely lucked out on the "what happens to an enterprising animal companion who gets caught while scouting" table.

Good to know. But there's always the area of effect attack like a fireball which could injure a familiar even if it's not involved in melee combat. And a familiar can be replaced but Nona's not going to risk her familiar without good cause.

I'll add the new items to Nona's sheet soon.

Incidently, I've written Nona as being interesting in finding old Sarkorian magic, searching ruined cities etc., so if there's an interesting backstory to an item, it's nice to know for RP purposes.

The loot here seems to be more of... Abyssal make. You have a contact now who does not neccessarily mind checking some auctions for ancient Sarkorian magic items in Alyushinyrra on your behalf, but you would have to communicate that.

You are on the way back to Drezen, after successfully stopping the Wintersun Kellids from raiding your supply raids, making a more or less non aggression pact with the Forsaken and killing Jerribeth.

You have Kellid non combatants, and Paladins/Clerics released from the Abyss by the Forsaken as part of the trade.
