The vampiric clown's garments are little more than charred rags, and its pale flesh bubbles and smokes. One of Hamar's arrows strikes it, as does Merle's magic missiles.

Nari still laughs horribly and there is a sudden screeching as well. One of the small puppets runs through the clearing, head ablaze. It collides with a rack of musty costumes which go up in flames

Quick question: would giant Karrin be able to reach this clown with melee? If she can, Karrin will activate her belt of giant growth to get "fun sized" but if not Karrin will pull out her short bow (which she has never used in her entire career with the silver rose).

The ceiling is 5 meters from the floor. Does she have the reach? I would say yes, provisionally. How tall does she get?
Well the game really isn't set up for that sort of information, she get's a 10ft reach, and assuming that karrin doesn't grow an inch that would give her 15ft or so, but I'd think Karrin would grow to be at least 8 to 10, and although the game has no rules for attacking up, I'd think Karrin should be able to attack something 16 to 18 feet over her head. That would let her reach 5 meters
Assuming you accept my opinion, then Karrin gets "fun sized" this round.After 11,000 posts and 7 years it's about time :-)

Yeah I'm cool with Karrin meleeing it. You need to wrap this up, because...
The group can hear the pop and crackle as the roof's dry timbers start to catch. Although it has only been seconds the ancient collection of dried clothing and painted props are beginning to catch...
"Ekuur! I think we MIGHT have gotten carried away with your worship preparations. Again." Justin says dryly as he eyes the growing flames and the deadly clown at the same time.
The wizard fires off another single blazing bolt of energy, planning on what to do next if Karrin doesn't hog all the fun for herself first.
Magic Bolt (Missile) power, 1d4+4 pts force dmg. 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Justin eyes Karrin's 'fun-sized' form, and quickly calculates the space in the chamber.
"But in THIS case, I can actually help you with that one!"

Justin shrugs.
"Okay then. Move over Karrin! New dance partner stepping up!" He calls, before holding out his amulet towards Hamar and concentrating a few seconds. A moment later his eyes snap open, flashing with the power of a newly recalled spell.
Justin extends his arms and amulet, and casts a spell, lightly tapping Hamar on the shoulder with a final arcane phrase. He steps back hastily.
"Going UP!" He calls out.
Use bonded item power to ready any spell from book 1/day. Cast Enlarge on Hamar. Step back and enjoy the show. :)

The wizard interlaces his fingers, flips his hands over and pops his knuckles.
"I have a sudden BURNING desire to show this little pest what happens when you play with fire!"

Justin winces at Merle's yowling laughter.
"Easy Kitty,..." He mutters as he pulls out another spell component.
As Ekuur touches Hamar, and the warrior grows to join Karrin amid the smoking roof beams, Justin points at the dancing undead jester.
"Laugh THIS off you giggling b@st@rd! FEUGO MAXIMUS!!!"
There are various flashes of light from Justin's personage as his gloves, amulet and ring all flare and expend magical energy in conjunction with the spell.
Instead of the familiar finger-thin beam of flame, a blast of fire as big around as the wizards wrist roars towards the wall-crawling clown.
Throwing everything into one big blast, with levels, CL bonuses, gloves, amulet and fire ring(expending all 3 charges) we end up with, Ray of Flame, (Touch attack, reflex save vs DC 18 or catch fire and take 1d6 fire dmg/round until extinguished) Dmg= 5d6 +4d6(ring) +4pts(Intense spells school power) +50%(Amulet) :)
Ranged Touch Att: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Hoping that hits the little buggers Touch AC
Dmg: 5d6 + 4d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 2, 6, 5, 4) + (2, 2, 6, 1) + 4 = 37
PLUS the 50% (+18pts) == Total fire dmg 55, Plus ref save vs DC:18 or catch fire, 1d6/rnd (If he's not already still flaming from the last blast, I can't recall) :)
Justin smiles, the firelight casting shadows across his face and making him seem,... eerie. Especially with THAT smile.
He holds his finger, his hand still trailing smoke, in front of his face, and blows the smoke gently from the end of his finger.
"Smoke 'em if you got 'em! Karrin, Hamar, NOW!"

Wow you guys outputted quite a bit of damage that round...so..
Between the flashing blades, axes, and bolts of fire, the evil clown finally falls from the ceiling, shriveling into a wizened charred corpse
YAY!
However, the party is still embroiled in danger. The fire is spreading, and the only way they know to get out is on the roof, which is rapidly turning into an inferno...

"Spellcasters, can we extinguish these flames?" Hamar asks turning back to view his now much smaller compatriots.
Can I reach the entrance with my current size just by reaching up? I assume yes correct?

Ack! Sorry, been busy at work.
"Hm? Oh, Oh YEAH! Hamar! KArrin! try to beat out the flames! We need to get out of here! Hang on,..." Justin fumbles through a coat pocket, pulls out a bit of arcane bric a brac, mumbles a short phrase, then slaps Karrin on the thigh. A brief flare of magic covers the larger-than-usual Warrioress.
"Um,... don't step on me?" he adds after the fact, realizing just where he slapped the temperamental warrior-woman. And belatedly recalling his last 'training session' with her.
"It's a protection spell! To protect you from the flames! help the others out quickly!"
And When it's his turn again Justin casts a similar spell on Hamar. and repeats his message.
Cast Protection vs Fire on Karrin (She's still suffering from the level drain.) and endure elements on Hamar. Then wait my turn to be rescued. :)

Hamar looks at Karrin and looks at the flames still burning and turns to Naridre and Merle, "Which of you wish to go first!?"
Whoever responds first Hamar scoops up and lifts to the roof so that they may start the evacuation.

The party manages to get together and keep the flames at bay by the trapdoor they arrived in. Merle's frost Ray coats the sides of the door, keeping the flames away and Karrin beats out the nearest flame with a puppet body. They can escape...But the room will go up in flames eventually. Too many pieces of ancient cloth and varnished wood already smoulder

"You have my blades my friends. Both here and wherever it is you bring me to that is away from this damnable place. I shall follow your lead as I have no way of getting out. Know that this place is very dangerous and we must keep our wits about us to survive. I trust escaping to all of you..." states Hamar as his form shrinks to normal and he begins to search around for threats.

Justin kicks the trapdoor closed behind them, and glares at it balefully.
"Is it too much to ask for just ONE night of uninterrupted sleep? Really?" He grouses aloud.
The wizard looks at the others, and notices a couple of sleepy, grumpy glares of their own. They seem to be directed at him.
"What? Hey, this time the fire was NOT my fault! Strictly speaking." He holds up his hands defensively.
"Sheesh. You set ONE tower aflame and they never let you live it down. Ekuur frikkin' WORSHIPS fire and they never give him any flak,... Grumble grumble,..."

The party again stands on the massive stage in the ancient theater/opera house/sacrificial altar/ whatever these maniacs did for entertainment complex.
Smoke rises for the boards below, but the flames have yet to emerge. It will not be long. The good news is there is a large opening in the ceiling allowing the breathable, if somewhat sterile and stale air of Ranais to whisk away the smoke. There are lanes leading up through the tiered stadium seats, leading to exits above. Hamar knows tat outside is a set of long stairs and a rather large plaza.
Although it looks as if there will be a big fire here, the majority of the complex is dressed stone. Likely the fire will not spread past the building itself.
