I am set up for 3rd level. Little boy I think your character will be an interesting add to our group :)
Grey, the Lady's dog
Alright, Ysmerelda...
Ysmerelda, Dawn's Rose
...and her 'Companion', are ready to go.
Aliseya Belododia
Looking "good," Ysme. :)
And Grey, apart from being haunted perhaps, will be a happy dude in this group of beautiful and badass women. :)
Oaken Spirit, Рsychopomp
Sorry, meant the others Grey, I would prefer that you start at second level with the other new characters. As a general policy I think new characters should enter a level down from the survivors - you should catch up quickly.
All, you'll need to bump the recruitment thread if we're going to get any more applicants.

No worries. Will do.

For it to be punishment it would have to be retribution for some sort of offense. New players haven't been in game to commit an offense. This is an entry condition that new players may either choose to accept or not accept.
Aliseya Belododia
A 3,000 XP difference will become less and less meaningful with time...
* shrugs *
My 2 cents. :)
Aliseya Belododia
Thought I'd add to the recruitment thread. I haven't looked through the applicants yet, but I figured the promise of Ali's dancing should motivate a few more players to gain interest. ;D
Aliseya Belododia
Btw. Will we be doing any fast forwarding when the new recruits come on board? Like, getting Cell help from Bolo and jumping to the next morning after a night's rest?
If so, I think I'd like to roleplay a bit before then. But I will refrain if we are carrying off exactly where we left off (on the way back from the prison).

And there's more that won't accept than will.

Tell him we all wish him a happy birthday!!
I have been in several home brews where you start a level lower with a new character. You need to be a little bit more careful but it works out just fine.
Aliseya Belododia
Ah a Happy Birthday to him from me as well. :)
Yeah. I don't really want to debate the issue further (it's GM's prerogative anyway), but honestly, while it might be more noticeable in the beginning, the advantage will imo diminish before long. I'm just happy our esteemed GM decided to recruit now, rather than stick with an earlier comment to possibly recruit at the end of the first chapter of this AP (i.e. in ~27 game days)! Lol.
Oaken Spirit, Рsychopomp
It would have been cleaner to wait until the end of the chapter, but we will make this work.
All, please pm me your ranked selection order of the four applicants. Please also send me your thoughts on selecting three recruits, versus two. Need your thoughts by Sunday morning - I would like to have the next game post up Sunday night.
Aliseya Belododia
Agreed. It was definitely the more practical choice to recruit now. And it sounds like you went with a great cover for their entrance into the game.
Four? Actually, I count only three applicants. Windle dropped out. :(
I'll look them over now, and will PM you soon...

Windle dropped out? Dang it, I missed that on my review. He was in fact going to be my #1 pick considering he was the only full caster, and he was an Occult class.
That affects things. I mean, if we do go with three, than that is all three of them. On the other hand, that means we will have a party of eight, which seems unwieldy to me. Of course I am not the GM so I won't be the one juggling.

Delighted to be involved! Like Govannon I'm happy to help in any meaningful way! I can test your blood for infectious diseases? I promise not to drink too much of it... :D

I'd be willing to restat to Psychic if people think it would be beneficial/more flavourful... Govannon brings a decent amount of combat so we might be able to do without my fighting if changed for spells?

That's what I figured when I initially looked at the party balance - I figured that full BAB was needed more than spells. An Abomination Psychic would fit well for everything but Luca however....

Well with my smoking, who knows how useful I'll actually be. Probably have to stop and rest every few rounds to catch my breath!
Seriously though, I agree with Naught. Be who you want to be. We'll manage one way or another I'm sure... I hope!

I think I'll keep her as is - I liked the fluff and the build I came up with to let her be a vampire first, everything else second...
Oaken Spirit - can I get a ruling on the Monk AC bonus and wearing light armor. Since FAQ has confirmed that a Sohei can flurry while using light armor it seems to me that the archetype is meant to have light armor AND the normal monk abilities. What's your take?

Sorry I haven't posted or should I say Paizo has been hungry lately eating all my post. I have been responding my post have just disappeared.
Weldome to our group one and all! I think you will have more fun playing the character you built the way you wanted it to be so we will make it work :)
Oaken Spirit, Рsychopomp
Sariana, I would agree with you. The Sohei archetype explicitly says that the monk's armor proficiency is altered to include light armor. This then would then mean that the sohei can retain all the base class abilities while wearing light armor, unless noted otherwise in the archetype description.
Aliseya Belododia
Yes, welcome Govannon and Sariana. Happy to have you both along. :)
Btw, apologies for not posting more frequently lately. I'm having increased busyness in real life atm, so I may be posting every other day-ish for (probably) a short while.
EDIT: I second the notion of playing whatever the player is interested in playing, what they deem best represents their character and background.
Aliseya Belododia
She just needed a drop of your blood, to get a 'taste' of the kind of person you are :D
Now that you're officially in... :)

I can imagine a number of ways smoking could come in handy for a magus... but I will leave that up to you and your imagination. :)

It's nice to see Cellawyn looking more "herself" again. Lol.

GM Oaken Spirit,
So I was thinking of taking Scribe Scroll next level, but wanted to chat with you about it briefly. Two main questions really - do you allow crafting in your campaign? Some folks don't as it can upset Wealth By Level a little, but with scrolls it shouldn't be a big deal. The other question is whether I'll have any downtime to actually scribe the scrolls.
If you anticipate lots of action, I'll give it a miss - it's not a big deal either way. Just don't want to spend the feat and then never get to use it. It's probably not an ideal pick anyway, but let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!!

Yes, all crafting feats are allowed. And yes, you should have plenty of time between chapters for crafting.
