When Aliseya commands the undead to serve her, the third skull ceases its attack and floats silently to Aliseya.
Just to clarify, did you notice I edited my post to say Ali specifically commanded the skull(s) to attack the Marauder? I may have edited it while you were writing up your post. Not sure if that's why you had it merely come to me, or if there was a rules reason why it couldn't be commanded to do so, so... just double checking.

I think Creepy Ali would enjoy that. However, when Gypsy Ali comes back to her senses, she'd probably just get startled by the flaming skull hovering nearby and, of course, belt out a quick, "Omigods!"

Naught has partial Vargouille-ism, so tentacles for hair, batlike wings for ears, shark teeth, and black and gold eyes.
Actually, there may have been a few things we all left out for the new recruits... or recruit, singular? I hope we hear from Ysme/Gray again soon... awesome roleplayer.

One other thing we may have not explicitly mentioned is that when Ali and Naught speak Aklo (or anyone for that matter speaks Aklo), it sounds as if unfathomable demons are violating your soul to the very core, as if your worst nightmares have come to life, it stirs primal fears of that which should not be... in short, it's very creepy to listen to. ;)

Question before I post: how long do I control undead for? The command undead feat (which I have) does not explicitly state this, though it does imply I can control up to a certain number of HD for days since, "Intelligent undead receive a new saving throw each day to resist your command." They would not get a new save each day if they weren't affected for a period of days, I would surmise. I recall this is how it worked in 3.5e, too. Yet the spell control undead, which the feat describes itself as having the same effects as, states a minute per level. This wording seems to suggest that the effects are the same, but it's implied that it works as long as the character wishes - the only limitation being the number of HD allowed at one time. Which again is consistent with 3.5e.
Thoughts?
Btw, in case Paizo goes down on me again and you want to move on, I am asking because, if she can still control them, she'll command the 4 undead hands from the previous room to rapidly crawl into the cavern and attack the dire rats. >:D

Since the undead get a will save once a day, I think you control them until they make the save. So, the hands are still under your control.

My excuse is that I've seen the goblins wreaking havoc on Paizo's server twice this week. And I think last night, my ISP was having issues. I had just posted to my other game here, and then I couldn't see any avatars anymore... and it deteriorated from there.
Is it me, or is this site experiencing more than normal bugs and downtime for others, too?
Aliseay, you are unable to move to Naught to heal her. You may retcon your Round 3 action.
Not sure what happened there. She was definitely next to her on the map the last time. I think we lost a round in there, too...
I'll post soon, let me see what makes sense given what's going on now... Wait a minute. The party split up?! Never split the party! Especially in a boss battle! Lol.
Regarding Round 3, just have Ali move 30 ft. to reach Naught and then cast the spell.

I know the hammer is magical and does just a bit more damage but the thought of smacking a book with a hammer over clawing it to damage it just seemed ehh

Btw, when I cast the spell spark at round 6, I believe the book should have continued burning?
Also, do we have any idea what is causing the Wisdom damage every turn? Naught keeps referring to a haunt... is there a haunt? Is the Magic Missile Man a haunt?

Note that Naught and Zelda will have to move through the ghost to get to the spellbook, which will invoke several AoOs. Do you still want to do this?
I've updated the map on Google drive to match the current Roll20 map.
Also, this probably wasn't clear, but Gray's comment on destroying the script referred to the bloody script being drawn on the wall - not the spellbook.
The spellbook is magically treated - it's not going to burst into flame after exposure to spark like it is tinder, though it will be damaged each time you cast the spell.
... I guess Naught will draw her axe while charging the ghost instead...

Yeah. But alas... I had only the one slotted today. It's been a long day!
It's the first time playing this character and I wanted to give him more flexibility to start. See where things fell. He'll have more shocks in his future if we make it out alive. :)
And Ali's got more "character" spells than powerful assaults. She's out of them anyway. Plus, this guy's likely got too many HD for my control undead ability to work at only 3rd-level if he's able to dish out maximized magic missiles... Jeez!
...hopefully, he just summoned some low-HD undead... >:D
Gov could actually sling him, albeit at a -4 penalty since it's not a piercing damage weapon. Unlike spell combat, you could use an arcane pool point on any weapons including ranged, so it won't pass through his ghostly form entirely if you hit. Though you'd probably just dish out a few points of damage if you even hit, lol.
Yeah, but I'm out of the arcane pool also. Remember I'm a level behind and no cash yet so I'm a little weak. :)

Doesn't Zelda have a bow? You can shoot underwater, albeit at a -2 penalty per 10 ft., I think. Better than using it improvised as a melee weapon though.
Also, are you using a ghost touch arrow (1d8+1 full damage) or an undead bane arrow (1d8+2d6+1 half damage)? I think we have 5 left of the gt and 2 of the ub arrows. I recommend a ghost touch arrow.
Aliseya is correct, you may use the bow with a penalty.

When I fell unconscious, I lost the ability to hold my breath. Further, I'm grappled by an octopus, and so can't swim to the surface for a quick refresh.
So I'll start making constitution checks next round to avoid drowning. Might wanna save that wand for Naught...

We will proceed to an interlude period before starting chapter 2. During the interlude I would like to recruit two additional players. We'll get started this weekend.
