It's a bit of a mix-up for me, so I am improvising on rules for people who join a combat, but I am doing this: if you enter a combat during a round, you act after an action allowing your entrance (like being woken up) or at your initiative, whatever happens later, and then from your second round onwards you act according to your initiative.

Aliseya Belododia |

@Ali: Yes it does! :3
I had a hunch that was the case... ;D

Aliseya Belododia |

Nice roll! Since you can't normally use skills on other PCs, it's up to Naught whether she'll go along with it :)
No worries. We can just use it to inform our roleplaying perhaps.

The gestures were your cue to cast Detect Magic, Aliseya :)
Uh... but I don't know detect magic? :)
Do you mean Cellawyn?

My bad again; I keep reading A and B, and then C and D, and I say A goes with D.

Done.
Btw, if anyone with detect magic wants to do a Spellcraft check to id the particular spell, might come in very handy. ;)

It's Spellcraft for magic items and Knowledge (Arcana) for spells, and for spells only the school can be ascertained; Kendra did it, and in the future if Cellawyn uses it I will do the check and provide the information automatically (since it's a passive Knowledge (Arcana) anyways), provided that the aura lingers for long enough and that the target concentrates for long enough. Of course, if there is no time pressure, then it's only the duration of the aura that will determine whether you can learn about its school.

Aliseya Belododia |

Oh, sorry. I've just always had a bit of confusion about those two. It seems open to interpretation, the way it's worded. I believe you can use Spellcraft to id a spell as it is being cast though, given line of sight to the caster. But yes, Knowledge(arcana) applies here, covering auras and spells that were already cast.

Yes, and yes. Of course, detect magic would allow you to see spells in effect that are not being (noticeably) cast, and tell you the school, but only Spellcraft upon seeing the spell being cast would tell you what spell it is.

I will be on vacation for a week starting on Friday. I will try to post as often as possible but my access might be spotty

Naught |

Oh Alllllllliiiiii♥, I haz feat for you from the ACG:
Divine Protection
Your deity protects you against deadly attacks. Prerequisites: Cha 13, Knowledge (religion) 5 ranks, ability to cast 2nd-level divine spells; blessings†, domains, or mystery class feature.
Benefit: You gain a bonus equal to your Charisma modifier on all saving throws. If your Charisma modifier is already applied as a bonus on all saving throw (such as from the divine grace class feature), you instead gain a +1 bonus on all saving throws.

Well they say while the cats away.... so what kind of mischief can we cause while the GM is away :)

Aliseya Belododia |

Naughty girl. ;)
Lol!
As for the feat, oh that's a really nice find. Thanks! :)
Looking forward to getting a copy myself...
Edit: Btw, I can't wait for this to pick up again... I have plans for Aliseya, at least a few of which Naught in particular will... appreciate. ;)

Aliseya Belododia |

Lol. :D
Btw, I'm trying to get into a Kingmaker campaign, if anyone here wants to (possibly) join me.
Edit: Though, I won't be playing a hot chick in that one...

Tempted as two games I'm in have died...

Just keeping the game alive here :)
I'm not going anywhere. And everyone else had better stay around too. :)

An all too common problem in PbP. I've been in more failed runs of Pathfinder APs than I can remember now...

The game is on once I come back!

Better late than never I guess. Liza has put her hat in the ring for the kingmaker game. Wish me luck. Oh and good luck to you are well.

Aliseya Belododia |

Coolio ladies. Hope to game with you both in two games. ;)

Aliseya Belododia |

You too. :)

Aliseya Belododia |

Suckaroos. Oh well. :)

Aliseya Belododia |

Yeah, our orcish GM will return in a few weeks or so. I have a strong feeling he'll keep his word; usually, GMs that disappear do so without a word.
But I feel your pain, Mirelinza. It's rare to have a PbP game that lasts. PFS games in my experience usually run through to completion. They tend to be more roll-playing oriented, but at least you get a sense of completion. I've yet to see an AP get anywhere near the end of its first chapter, otoh.

Aliseya Belododia |

The pace has been very good for me, no complaints here. You're doing very well, in fact. Everyone's entitled to take a break, so hope you're enjoying yourself. :)
There is such a thing as TOO fast as well in PbP. I have plenty to do all day long (unfortunately!), so I can comfortably only post about once per day on average anyway per game (and I'm only in a few).

Aliseya Belododia |

Hello, ladies! A Rise of the Runelords game is recruiting.
Though I don't get the gnome restriction, it looks roleplaying-oriented.
