DM,
Just want to commend you on the game. Adding and removing characters is tough and you have done it with style. I really like the slow intro that the poison allows.

Story wise it also solves the too many convienent castaways problem. Who knows how long we were in those webs? Rollo and party may have been on the Schiv for some time. It is not tooooooo much of a stretch to presume a minor stasis effect in the venom.

Also I love the unique loot

Minor question for the future.
Looking at Weapon focus: claws, Rending Claws, Eldrich Claws, Improved natural attack, and multiattack as possable future feats. I will not be able to afford all of these but i think the Weapon Focus and multiattack are likely canidates. What is you feeling on taking these feats?
There is a current, off the cuff, ruling by a dev that having a natural attack on a rounds per day basis do not allow feats but this ruling opens a can of worms and considered ruling has not yet been made.

This is for the far future. I will not consider multiattack before 11th level so there is lots of time. I am just playing with higher level versions of Setebo in Hero-lab.

I have a problem with multiattack for PC's it is essentially a feat for monsters. The others are no problem

True the multiattack is a bit cheesey. With imp unarmed strike and the brawler rage power I was looking at a high level attack sequence of: Overrun (full bab) Claw-claw-bite at bab -2 Stomp for remaining iteratives. All on a charging pounce. A bit of Gouda there.

Thanks for clarifying.

On the subject of feats: Can somebody tell my the difference between Power attack and Piranha Strike?

It's only the prerequsite that tells them apart, right (and that piranah is restriced to light weapons)?

It's power attack for finesse fighters, no more no less.

You pretty much have it. Those are the only differences. They also cant be used together.

Darn, i read that Piranha strike was something to improve the damage for finesse figthers and thought "Hey, that's me!". No luck there then :/

Hmmm two weapon rend maybe? Or are the qualifications nasty?

edit. Yup the qualifications are nasty. hmmmmmmm perhaps teamwork feats? I there is one that gives you +d6 per attack. Desperate battler might be an option as well. There are also effectively 4 fighters in the party. Capt, Setebo, Rollo, and you, gang up starts looking more attractive. Stay close to the Capt and Rollo and get +2 hit from gang up and +d6 per attack from the captain's ability to share teamwork feats. Welcome to the meatgrinder.

Natalyah doesn't seem like the teamwork-featy type to me :) I'll go with the two weapon stuff that's available. Still quite a long way to go :)

Will anyone really mind if I just dispose of a constant count of XP and just level you up at appropriate points?

Maybe give Desperate Battler a look? +1 hit and dam so long as there are no allies with in 10 feet and you are not receiving the aid another action. It is a morale bonus so it might confict with the bards songs.

Seems abit situational. And Natalyah isn't desperate! She is cool and cunning in battle (or as cool and cunning that the player allows her to be, in this case not very cunning :/ ). Power attack, Double slice and perhaps Weapon focus are on my list.

DM:

Poison. Sorry about obsessing on the poison thing. It's the first time I've had a chance to see how the long term care rules work and i got a bit carried away. I will stop tracking and wait for your word on when I am back to functional.

Food. Not sure how much this will matter or if it is something you want me to poke at but I am confused by the food calculations.

Day 15 started with 20 person days of food. 13.5 person days consumed over the day. 21 man days brought in by foragers means a total food stock at nightfall of 27.5 person days. Right?

Add to this the 5 person days of rations that Setebo contributed gives a grand total of 32.5 person days. Or am I double counting somewhere?

Rollo Sorry again. Not trying to play somone else's character just throwing out ideas. I'll stop.

Those sound good. I am looking at weapon focus and power attack as well. Next feat is Iron will however. A dominated Setebo is not to be considered.

Setebo

Spoiler:

your calculations on food are right..the 2 sick and Gellik consume a half ration each and there are 7 PCs, 4 NPCs and Rollo all consuming a ration each.Once Rollo is up to full strength he can hunt for himself like Atzi's Companion.

Any clue where the current list is for me to transfer?

\o/

He had it linked in his profile but it's gone now :( All i know that i some how have come to claim almost all of the tangible equipment.

1 mwk short sword (from the jenivere, belonged to a dead crewman)
1 magical dagger (from the brine deamon, belonged to the boats captain)
1 mwk cold iron star knife (from ishirou's treasure, since nobody else could use it)
1 +1 buckler (from ishirou's treasure)

i have no clue as to how much gold, silver and copper we've collected.

I too like the second sheet.

I only have view access to these but if you want to add "Subtextorbust" my gmail account to a copy of your sheet I can start transfering things from the old sheet and update the headings.

On the question of absent friends.
What do you want me to do about the inventories of the ill characters? Strip the gear from their sheets and record it on the loot list making a note that is belongs to character 'x'? This way we can use it if we need to with out it causing overwealth issues once we reach civilization and the characters w/o players depart.

Same question with the NPC gear come to think of it.

So do you want a google doc to track stuff or just a list on my alias?

Hmmm we could use a breakdown on the Jewelry/Art/Commodities category. Never know what might be useful.

OK. Who has the logbook, the +1 buckler and the Masterwork Studded leather?

Also DM, I am assuming some of the oil for the lamps have been used?

And does anyone have gear they do not want to carry? I could add a "owned by" column so you would get it back once we hit civilization.

The gear form the sick folks and Setebo's donations added.

Working on the Spider loot now.

Natalyah has the +1 buckler. Don't know who has the mwk studded armor, or where it came from.

The Masterwork Studded came from the dead First mate of the Jenivere and was originally claimed by Uchendu. That's one bit of his equipment you can Greyhawk.

Female / Female Human: Jambala Jaeg Descendent) and Deinonychus Saurian Shaman LVL 4

The Masterwork Studded is being used by Atzi ^^; uchendu never updated the sheet much =/

So we may have to come back through from the start to present to figure out what we have/don't have. Once i'm off work I will help out as well =)

OK I've gone through the thread and I believe this is everything you have found so far.

FROM THE JENIVERE

A bottle of fine brandy worth 50 gp,
a darkwood model of the Jenivere in aglass bottle worth 100 gp,
a small coffer containing 350 gp.
a long leather satchel that holds a dozen potions for emergency use: four potions of cure light wounds,
a potion of cure moderate wounds,
four potions of lesser restoration,
a potion of remove disease,
a potion of water breathing,
a potion of water walking.
a block and tackle,
three large canvas sheets,
two fishing nets,
a grappling hook,
two bullseyelanterns,
12 flasks of lantern oil,
150 feet of hemp rope
five shovels.

From the wreck of the Tattooed Lady[b]

1)In a small, light brown belt-purse [2 sp] you find 5 gold pieces and one tarnished metal earring [4gp]. The earring is a simple loop and is missing the clasp used to tighten it to the ear. On the inside of the loop you can barely make out two initials, B and W.

2)The black leather coin pouch [2 sp] seems to be full. When you empty the contents you find numerous coins [14 sp, 30 cp] and a small clear
yellow-green stone [peridot]. As you look at the gem you can see several lines that run through the center of it, possibly cracks or flaws [very flawed; 7gp].

3)You find four silver pieces and a belt buckle, craftedfrom silver with gold trim [8 gp]. It has a solid flat face carved to represent the night sky. There are five stars etched into it to form an L shape, with the moon floating above.

4)A handful of rough six-sided dice [5 cp], carved from cow bone, rest within a tiny leather pouch [1 sp], along with a dozen yellow and black wood tokens [1 cp total] the size of a coin. What game they are used for, you do not know. Some of the dice are numbered normally, and others have two faces each of three colors, yellow, black and plain. In the pocket you find three gold pieces and a small knife in a leather sheath. The knife is only a bit over two inches long. It is made of steel, and when you withdraw it from its sheath you notice right away that it is not very sharp

Opening a small, rough wooden box [2 sp] you find arrayed in rows a set of fish hooks in different sizes and materials. The smallest would be suitable for landing minnows while some of the larger ones would probably be strong enough to cope with a particularly fierce shark. Some of the smaller hooks are fashioned from stone and some kind of crystal, while the larger ones are made from some kind of steel [80 hooks, 50 gp].

Wrapped in a rough, brown-furred hide cover [buffalo hide, 6 gp], you discover a leather dome tent, large enough for four [28 gp], which has
been painted with pictograms of great game herds. Mixed in among the tent poles and wooden stakes, you discover a pair of moccasins beaded
in green, white and red [3 gp] and a long leather shirt [12 gp] decorated with fringes and beads.

A large leather belt pouch [good condition, 1 gp] feels full as you lift and open it. You spill the contents out to find several shiny items. The first thing to really catch your eye is a stunning brooch. An oval piece of ivory is imbedded into a silver setting. The ivory is intricately carved with a floral design, and you can imagine it being worn by a powdered and perfumed lady of high station. On the back of the brooch there were once initials engraved into the silver just below the pin, but they have been worn down and you cannot make them out [47 gp]. You sift through several coins [18 gp, 18 sp, 31 cp] and discover a strange, flat disc. It is about two thumb widths in diameter and has symbols etched on each side. On one side is the likeness of a hawk in flight, and on the other side is a snake, coiled and ready to strike [platinum disc,31 gp].

[b]From the Wreck of the Golden Bow
Opening a cork-stopped gourd [3 cp] you find several pieces of relatively inexpensive jewelry.
There is a copper ring topped by square-cut banded agate [10 gp], a gold-plated nose ring etched with spiraling lines [4 gp], a calico moss agate the size of a large pea [11 gp], and a small silver pendant showing a woman in a long flowing dress dancing lovingly with a bear on its hind legs [22 gp]. Tangled with this, you find a slender silver chain bracelet with an onyx bead [29 gp]. In the bottom is a tiny silver whistle in the shape of a robin [2 gp], a small cube of milk white halite [3 gp], and an ivory ring with an inset figure 8 of smooth onyx [20 gp].

In a backpack you find a length of fine rope [silk, 50 feet, 10 gp], two heavy gauntlets of gray leather [2 gp] and a spool of strong black thread [3 cp]. Two large-eyed needles stick in the thread coils [needles, 5 sp each]. A small ornate metal box [5 sp] lies underneath. It is silver colored [tin] with raised golden designs [copper wire]. The top pries off to reveal a pack of heavy paper playing cards [5 gp]. In a linen bag are three tightly rolled strips of cloth, a one-edged blade, a pair of plain tweezers and three round boxes. Two of the boxes are partially full of salves with herbal smells, each different. The third looks used but is empty [healer’s kit, 40 gp]. At the bottom of the pack are coins [2 sp, 5 cp]. Wedged between the seams you find 3 coins [3 gp] and a flawed, redspeckled gem [bloodstone 40 gp].

You find a smooth whalebone box [14 gp] the size of a large book. Jocular smoking men have been carved into the lid. Once opened, you discover fragrant, extremely high quality pipe weed[13 gp]. A finger-sized copper figurine [23 gp] of a goddess with the head of a tigress is buried in the tobacco.

In the pocket of a sea coat are several coins [3 gp, 2 sp, 10 cp], a small piece of cheese wrapped in a waxed cloth [4 cp if edible] and a pair of tweezers made of gray metal with enameling on the sides, showing a miniature set of flowers in a garden [6 gp].

A cotton and bamboo hand fan [8 gp] unfurls gracefully to depict the stately, domed palaces of a famed metropolis(Katapesh), the intricate design painted onto the fan by a very skilled artist. The fan is held shut by an ingenious bamboo clasp, carved to resemble a mounted knight dipping his lance to a lady; their clasped hands form the 'lock'.

From the ‘Brine Demon’
a golden locket with a finely detailed miniature of a beautiful redhaired half elf woman, the name Aeshamara is inscribed below the picture

A Masterwork Dagger

From the Treasure Pit (Ishirous 20% has been deducted)
a Masterwork Cold Iron Star Knife.
a Darkwood Buckler +1
scroll of Raise Dead
4200 Cp
2400 Sp
1050 Gp
Pouch of Garnets and Amethysts worth 750Gp

That is all apart from Inkathru’s gear.

TO all. Take a look at the list and let Atzi or me know who wants to carry what. We have a number of potions that will serve us better than the folks in camp. We also have a dose of alchemist's fire that should go to a high dex non-melee type.

That vial of fire and the dozen or so bottles of lamp oil give me a lovely idea for a way to hit a big nasty.

Female / Female Human: Jambala Jaeg Descendent) and Deinonychus Saurian Shaman LVL 4

I can totally see everyone carrying a flask of oil, and whoever has the highest dex taking the flask of Alc Fire... Nyar that would be some fun! Dose them with oil and Burn the bad guy!

The spreadsheet looks great Setebo and it'll only get better as we figure out all the costs and make a selling list as well. xD

Actually the problem is that I don't have a google account..something I will have to remedy.

So i now have a google account and...I don't have permission to view the document..
