I did spot a post on Monday from Carpy for the other group where he said he was pretty sick. He did a few posts after that - but it's no good sign.

So we best just wait right now. I hope it's not worse as it sounded at the start of the week - but the fact he hasn't posted doesn't sound good.

The last post from Carpy is now over a week old. Doesn't really look good. I just hope he is well.

Any ideas how to carry on. I hope we hear something eventually - so at least we are able to know what to expect. I've no problem with waiting or a pause - but it would be a shame if the game died.

Sadly it doesn't look good. I hope it's just lack of time and not something worse that has kept him from posting.

I think we should wait a while longer and if we don't hear anything, then we'll check how many are still active in the thread and discuss how to move forward. I agree it would be a real shame if the game died.

I'm in full agreement here. Lets wait for a while and just ensure we keep together.

I just wanted to let you know - if needed I could switch roles to become a DM. I hope this remark isn't seen as mutiny. I hope it doesn't come to this and that we hear back from Carpy any moment now.

And it is too early to discuss it either. I thought I mention it, so that the group isn't drifting apart. So feel free to form opinions - but please lets wait another week or two before we discuss this issue.

I just came to this idly and if needed would offer my services as DM..that way Thod wouldnt have to give up on a character..I'll need to do some serious reading of both this and the game thread however.

The druid is still lurking as well, just waiting for a change. ^^; I've just started getting the serpent skull ap books *Will/Have not read them* was just getting them just in case. I've DMed quite a bit of adventures as well but if we have a replacement for carpy already then i'm cool to roll with whatever.

Well give me a day or two to read up on your characters and the game thread so far..I've met Thod in person and will be seeing him again later this month at Dragonmeet.

A good start to read would be amisis logbook. Search for Amisi on messageboards and it's the first hit.
I was already wondering if you are the same Wellard. More later - just checkng in via iPhone the original one and it's a pain to post long texts.

Looks around and already four players reported back into action despite a two week break. That looks good !!!

I have to say - I really learned a lot from Carpy and I loved how he GMed. It is sad having him not around. But it would have been good just to drop a message in two weeks what's going on.

DM Wellard - well - very happy to play on with Amisi instead of GMing. It feels like mutiny for me to leave Carpy - but it seems he left us shipwrecked and is gone.

Do we find him again - maybe. But we just can't tell.

It's sad that we lost our GM, but i'm very glad that Wellard can step in and take over. I'm enjoying the game and i'd hate to see it end so soon. I only hope it's lack of intrest/time/internet connection that has kept Carpy from posting, and not something worse.

Carpy ran another PbP (Curse of the Crimson Throne) on these forums and they have advertised (and found, i think) another GM as well.

This only leaves Storian and we are cmlete.

Well Done Amisi! I don't have to attempt a free fall today xD. Besides I think the dice gods are out to see me fail recently. I've rolled like 8+ critical failures recently both in pbp and at the gaming table lol. Its a bad day for rolling apprently~ xD

Ok a few things about how I do combat in my PBPs

I make all the initiative rolls on the post I announce the combat in. this speeds things up immensely in my opinion.

In addition if you need to make a save during a round I will also make those..otherwise we can be three days on a round of combat.(I am open to suggestions on this point..if you want to post a number of saving throws at the start of the combat I have no problem with that)

You dont have to wait fr your turn to come up in the initiative order as I can generally fit everything together. and I will repost the order at the beginning of each new round.please remember to state which round you are performing an action in.

I'm going to try and do a map of the island that doesn't break Paizo IP but it might take some time.

Sounds good. I wouldn't mind if you also rolled passive skill checks during combat, like perception checks.

I am perfectly happy with you doing the initiative rolls for everyone at the start of combat, and posting a 'digest' of what happens in a round after everyone posts.

@ Wellard: I know it is a little late to make a change. But I was wondering if I could take the Jungle Druid Variant from the APG, it doesn't start affecting anything until 2nd level I think. Just thought I would ask, it would fit Atzi's character a lot more, I apologize for not having found it sooner >.<;

Also to anyone who can answer this, What and where is this Dragonmeet? I live in Alaska so we kinda suck in the fun department for gencon's... or cons of any sort :p

Sorry - I was busy over the weekend - first organizing - then taking care of the aftermath.

Dragonmeet is a one day convention in London, UK. It is an odd convention - running for ten years as far as I can tell - always around 4 weeks before Christmas - with a mix of visitors just browsing / buying as well as a lot of Indie publishers showcasing / demonstrating their games.

The location and timing makes it an ideal place for organized games in the UK.

The average visitors, lack of pre-sign up and short game slots (3 1/2 hours) makes it one of the worst CONs for organized games in the UK.

I did organize 2 tables (one in the morning, one in the afternoon) for the Pathfinder Society last year. It was out of desperation as I'm in East Kent - that is the far South East corner of England - and I was desperately looking for some PFS games.

In the end we ended up with one table in the morning (with difficulty to fill - there was another group having two tables and Erik Mona having a special Pathfinder game on offer) and two tables in the afternoon. The other group had one table in the afternoon as I only found out two weeks ago.

This time around I took on the whole PFS organization. We managed six full tables (35 players) in the morning and 4 tables in the afternoon. A total of 34 new players who tried PFS for the first time.

All in all - a great success. See my write up on the Pathfinder Society boards.

i have a similar question. would it be ok for me to choose the skimisher archetype for Natalyah? it would result in her learning hunting tricks instead of gaining spells. doesn't kick in until (ranger) lvl 5, though.

One more update as well for the Loot sheet~!

Atzi was going to use the that masterwork Leather Armor we recovered from the first mate of the Jenivere. I don't remember anyone else wanting to use it but if someone else needs it instead then go ahead! =D
