Local sheriff court so likely to be small scale such as car theft, people of the needle or some-such... but who knows, may get something juicy.

In other news - starting tomorrow at roughly lunchtime my time I'll be taking a four day holiday. A quick vacation across to P&&%et... or for the benefit of Paizo's confusing wordfiltery boards Pooket.
I'll have my tablet and keyboard with me - so should still manage to keep up with things as they go, but if I'm a bit tardy that'd be the reason why.

Sadly, there's not really any great storm damage rules. I'm using the tables in "Tempest Rising" but they're a bit random and not systematic. I may have to look at modifying Fire as She Bears...
Aye - the filter sees the p h u and k combine to approximate the bad word... but not feck, fock, fook, etc.
One supposes storm damage would impact in tangible ways such as taking on of water, destruction of rigging and in bad cases taking a mast and what not. Reduction of speed, maneuverability, etc. Unless we're going to take on vessel to vessel combat it's probably best as a story written risk for the now?
After spending three days bodysore and bedridden sick on holiday... finally getting on the mend... just in time to fly home. Should be back to posting either tonight or tomorrow.

BD - enroute through my usual wiki-surfing activities and having started with Robert Scott's doomed South Pole venture I came to the realization that the ol' Brits weren't that great at polar exploration... what with Franklin first having to eat his boots, then going missing with all hands, etc.
Then I came across the Darien scheme... poor Scottish buggers there eh? - I wondered how that's taught (if at all) in Scottish schools and the like?
Us Aussies are a bit like the English in that we kind of immortalize the silly buggers who go off and get themselves killed exploring or pursuing hardship (like Burke and Wills, CY O'Connor, etc)... wondered if the Scots looked back on the precursor to the 1707 treaty the same way...
A bit of vindication for Scott:
I heard another story recently that talked about how Scott unfortunately made his attempt during a record cold year in Antarctica and the sledges were actually freezing back to the ground as they were being dragged. Pretty astonishing that they made it as far as they did.

Where someone's gone over the diaries (of Scott and Amundsen) and put them side by side chronologically. It's a really interesting comparison between the two attempts.
It does definitely seem that Scott was unlucky with weather and what not... and it's astonishing that even with all the piecemeal mistakes along the way that they still made it (or at least 60% of them made it) to within 11 mile of One Ton... or 20 miles past where One Ton was meant to be.
The biggest thing about Scott is that he suffers terribly by comparison to Amundsen. Without the direct cross-comparison against a very smooth and well run expedition I'd imagine history would've been much kinder on the poor bugger.

Dibbs - Nah Darian Scheme is not typically taught in mainstream schooling here in Bonnie Scotia - was lucky enough to have an eccentric History teacher in Secondary School, who was a buff on these great failures of expedition - so he covered it and we visited the National Museum and saw the chest etc.
Aye the whole "Kingdom of Scotland" expansion era is one looked upon with halcyon eyes. Glorious failure is something of a Scots mantra lol...
Throw in the Kingdom of Alba into the mix (which I live in the heartland of) and it gets brilliantly messy!
Dunno if you lad's have read The Terror by Dan Simmons - mixes arctic expeditions, cannibalism and inuit demons. Great stuff lol.
Tis quite amazing what little bits of history are tucked away where not many people talk about it. Even a young little country like Oztralia has a few gems (like one state successfully voting to secede from the nation with a 68% support on the referendum)

Well mates, I set my goal to finish our 4th year prizes by summer's end and I'm just.about.done. My first attempt at this type of thing and I'd say they aren't exactly beautiful but, if rough, then hopefully serviceable just like the crew.

Actually it won't. I'm not sure if I screwed up somewhere or it's just that we've been ramping up the combat, but you're raking in the xp. We already hit the 8K mark and so I've decided that next 6+ goal ought to be 10K meaning that you'll likely get your first PF6 level upon completion of this side trek...
