@buyers:
Are all the things you are buying listed in the core rulebook?
or in the PRD site?
Remember that d20pfsrd is not the official paizo prd, and I’m not accepting everything that it contains.
As rule, you can get anything from PRD without asking in advance, things outside PRD, items included, you need to ask me first okay? And more that than, remember that Farhold is a small city, only core goods are promptly available.

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa |

Hmm.. ok. So, how to deal with a sneaky little spy devil. Promise it treats? What type of treats to sneaky fly baby devils like?
Would sacrifices do?
Would money/items do?
Would secrets do? IE: I choose to give secrets to the Zebub as a reward for service.
It isn't a very strong Devil so I'm not thinking it'll demand very much.
Also. Can Agrippa take Jeebs with him through the Woods? Now that he has a servant he isn't keen on losing that luxury.

Aku Warashi |
Also, Here is the hellfire thing we agreed to use earlier.
Since it's a private item, you'll need to request permission to access on google drive.

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa |

Agrippa has been trying to do
By studying tomes of dark lore, infernal documents, and tragic histories, one might discover occluded riddles and hints at the names of devils working their will upon mortal kind. A researcher not specifically searching for the true name or sigil of a specific infernal creature might discover either of these details relating to a lesser devil by spending a month doing nothing besides studying in a sizable library of history or arcane lore. At the end of the month, the GM should make a DC 25 Knowledge (planes) check for the researcher, modified by aid from a single assistant and any tomes noted to be of particular value. If this check succeeds, the researcher discovers the type and true name or sigil (one or the other) of a random lesser devil. If the check fails, the researcher discovers nothing of value relating to true names; he may spend additional months researching again in the same library, but each subsequent check there takes a cumulative -2 penalty for that researcher until the penalty is so great it is obvious the place holds no valuable lore. If the researcher fails his check by more than 5, he believes he's discovered a creature's true name, but it is in fact a fake, and holds no power.
If the researcher knows of a specific devil, he may attempt to specifically research that creature's name or sigil. For a lesser devil, researching this information takes a month, while for a greater devil, it takes 3 months. At the end of this time, the GM makes a Knowledge (planes) check for the researcher with a DC equal to 20 + the devil's Hit Dice. Should the researcher already know the creature's true name but not its sigil (or vice versa) he gains a +2 bonus on this check in addition to any other bonuses for assistance or worthwhile tomes. Success on this check reveals the details being sought, while failure reveals no information, though the researcher may continue to study in the same library, as noted above. Failing by more than 5 uncovers false information, as previously noted.
One might also attempt to research the name of a diabolical being as powerful as an infernal duke or archfiend, but such can only be done in the libraries of Hell or with a tome of fundamental evil power (like the Book of the Damned). Although such beings can resist as summons that invokes their true names or sigils, they often choose to appear anyway merely to discover who has learned their secrets and how. Such encounters typically end with such brash devil summoners being dragged screaming back to the infernal prince's domain in Hell.
He's trying to get a true name of a Zebub.

ELDRED CROFTER |

Funnily I like Woden style stuff too but I really wanted a tough rogue style character for this game then settled on Con artist.

Johan Hale |

Eldred, you've been waiting all year for that scene haven't you?

DM Aku |

@Eldred
Taking about rules, you acquired a contact.
What is a contact?
It is a friendly, helpful NPC who appears at an opportune time.
It could be a simple as “We’re going to Farholde? I know a guy...”
But more importantly, that ‘guy’ also has resources or information that are useful to for you.
If you ever take the leadership feat, while you are still in farhold, then you'll have the opportunity to usurp the guild master, and take it's place.

DM Aku |

Post up your purchases.
Remember that, prontly avaliable are only core rulebook items.
Things from the PRD site can be acquired with some effort and time (usually two to three weeks) and items outside of the PRD are not avaliable here.
After you finish buying things, I'll move the game into the briar.

ELDRED CROFTER |

Does adamandite blanch count as core? If not can I use my underworld contact here to source it and silver/ghost blanch?

ELDRED CROFTER |

@Eldred
If you ever take the leadership feat, while you are still in farhold, then you'll have the opportunity to usurp the guild master, and take it's place.
It's a thought. At this point I think he's a follower of black fingers. If he was skinshaw he'd be a crazed lunatic. That doesn't disqualify him as a useful contact as much as make him bloody dangerous.

ELDRED CROFTER |

Guys-do we stay or do we go? DR busting is important

Wodin Earthbreaker |

Silver is the only DR that Wodin is really worried about (his helmet is Cold Iron and he can beat Adamantine with Stonestrike), but if you guys want to wait, he'll hold tight.
Would it be possible for us to find some way to earn funds around town if we wait longer? Just sitting around and training all day is going to make Wodin go stir crazy. D:

DM Aku |

Well, there are some things to consider that you may not be aware Wodin, since they were, well, discussed before your time.
Anyway, without giving out too much about it, don't forget that weapons blanches take a full hound + fire to apply it to a weapon, and it only last the first successful hit.
So, in all, you need: A fire, a move action to get the blanch, plus a full round action to apply it.
The way I see it, it's not worth the price and the trouble to use it.
A friendly GM advice: You may wait, but I don't think it's worth the time spent.

Wodin Earthbreaker |

You know, it's probably just easier for everybody to grab an Alchemically Silvered Heavy Mace and a Cold Iron Morningstar and call it a day. Not even masterwork or anything, but just to break DR.
I'd like to purchase a Silvered Warhammer, if it's possible, DM. It should cost 102gp.

ELDRED CROFTER |

Blanches are great on arrows as you can pre treat 10

Father Sidious |

@Sidious:
Here is your answer to that question.
Sorry, but that does not help me much. When you say core do you mean the core rule set? The core player's book? I think everything I have asked for is core. Is there a list of "core" somewhere?

ELDRED CROFTER |

Its important to the GM though, he doesn't have all the bits and pieces.
I myself as a GM do tend to lean heavily on the core and am cautious on how and when I introduce either non core/APG stuff and very slow on 3PP

Wodin Earthbreaker |

Alchemical Silver is an alternate material that can be used when making normal weapons. It adds +90gp to the cost of a one-handed weapon.
So a Warhammer (normally 12gp) would be 102gp if made with Alchemical Silver. :)

Father Sidious |

The cost carries with the size of the weapon...
Type of Alchemical Silver Item Item Cost Modifier
Ammunition +2 gp
Light weapon +20 gp
One-handed weapon, or one head of a double weapon +90 gp
Two-handed weapon, or both heads of a double weapon +180 gp
So, looking at the PRD with Core selected everything I asked about is available.

ELDRED CROFTER |

I'd like to wait - I still need to convince the guild master to give me a snitch or lawyer I can give to Agrippa and I've a mania for doing good damage with my bow which tends to be more impacted by DR when it comes to combat. That said level 7 I'll take Deadly Aim which will help.

Wodin Earthbreaker |

I'd prefer to get the show on the road, but Wodin won't complain if he's outvoted. Every day we hang around doing nothing is another day further from our glorious revenge.

ELDRED CROFTER |

Well, maybe I can pay up front and have the Imp collect it later but I gotta get Agrippa's sacrifice.

DM Aku |

@Agrippa
I'm willing to allow you try to discover the demons name, even tho it states you need at least one month of research.
The test will be made in secret, and it will have a severe penalty (if you choose to expend a villain point, it will be just a mild penalty) and you can receive only one aid other, from your servant.

Johan Hale |

Re Equipment: Aku also said that any basic magic items were available through the Baron by the end of the week I think, so things like +1 spear, shield, and mace, and alchemical weapons shouldn't be a problem. Darkwood maybe though.
Re: Eldred and the sacrifice: We're only a half day from town, with a good communication net via the seventh knot - nipping over to grab your victim later shouldn't be a problem.
So, I vote lets get moving.
Johan maintains his disguise as the turnip farmer.

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa |

@ the GM
Agrippa has been trying to find True Names since he left Balentyne. But if you want him to quit he will.
Lets move on. We have been dithering too long.

DM Aku |

@Agrippa
The only place, as stated in the supplement you provided, that contains a library with, well you know, knowledge of devils is the baron library in Farhold.
If you care to explain me how you were able to acquire such resource before you reach Farhold, I'll gladly reconsider my decision.
I’ve provided an alternative option to acquire that name.
Without using a villain point, the chance is a small one, about 10%.
If you use it the villain point, the chance to acquire the name, raises to 60%
That’s a rough calculation based on your bonus and penalties. Using the villain point, would be the same as studying the tomes for a month, and get a aid from your servant.
Things like these happened before (swarm incident), and while I’m always open to discussion about my decisions, since there could be a lot of things I overlooked, it gets boring if each time I deny something Agrippa wants, he threaten a rightfully wizard frenzy.
Edit:
Actually, I wanted to say: Iconic Wizard tantrum.

ELDRED CROFTER |

Eldred is a bully at heart. A sick twisted bully. I've tried to stay consistent to that.
He'll leave word with the boss that the job is done - that there isn't a mark on the woman or boy. Simply put he may want to use the boy in due course. The poison has been taken and properly digested, and the message well and truly imparted.
Eldred will buy the following.
1 Anti-Plague 50gp
2 Alkali flasks 30gp (pre-bought with 3 week wait)
3 Adamandite Blanch 300gp (pre-bought with 3 week wait)
1 Silver Weapon Blanch 5gp (pre-bought with 3 week wait)
1 Ghost Salt weapon blanch 200gp(pre-bought with 3 week wait)
40 Cold Iron Arrows 4gp
20 Alchemical Silver Arrows 3gp
1 Potion Invisibility 300gp
1 Potion Darkvision 300gp
1 Hammock 1sp
= 1192.1
He'll leave payment with notification that a note will be left stating where the goods are to be delivered. Given the amount of business he just offered I don't think he'll have any issues.
He'll walk.

DM Aku |

Also, wodin, a bit late, but please read this post.
Any question, don't be shy.
