Wow I really am the weak link here. That is correct, let's assume that He studied it on the boat before he arrived. After that, he will use stealth w/ his master work kit which is the exact modifier w/o the hour of study. That way I can use Vanish/Blend. You'd need concealment to cast the spell without being noticed, and even then they'd get perception to hear the verbal components. As I intimated, using vanish/blend to help your roll will be a very niche situation. I wouldn't rely on the spells to be of too much use here.

No problems. And don't worry too much about weak links. Awareness points are inevitable, and they accrue per failed roll. It's not like group stealth where one person messes it up and it all falls apart. You need a few (not that I'm telling you when you get them or how much you get) before there'll be an effect.

By the way, mechanically there is no difference if you hang together or not. You arrived on the same ship and lots of people saw that. Hang out together but go about staying unnoticed in different ways for general exploration. Don't split the party and make your lives harder. ;-)

Poor Kaisharga sticks out like a sore thumb. FYI, Amaranti, let me know if you want to dismiss Kaisharga and just rely on your other summoning powers instead. It obviously won't need to make rolls then.

Something you can do, if you like, is increase the DC of your check by 10 (before I roll) to create false trails and the like, which will reduce your awareness by 1. I wouldn't recommend it, though, unless you have some means to bump up your skill check for an extended period, as you're dramatically increasing your chances of raising your awareness level also.

Correct. But due to the nature of PbP it gets a bit tricky since I don't ask you to roll so you can't say "I'll use it now". There will be another awareness check at some point, so do let me know if you'd like to use the +4 on the next one (or any time, you can let me know that the next check you make should use a +4 bought by PP).

On the whole, though, I think there are better things to buy with 1 PP.

Missed Opportunity:
After listening to Cyrus and Ibid argue like a couple of married people, stepping in rotting vegetation, stymied by the illusionary lock, Finarin is frustrated beyond belief. Dropping all conventional pretenses of etiquette, he sees the loose cobblestone. Reaching down to move it, he realizes that it is too heavy. Rather than give in, his adrenaline already overpowering his elven body, he gives one last mighty heave, and ... farts louder than a case of sparkling wine corks being popped all at the same time. Ears reddening to a crimson hue, Finarin looks to Amaranti for assistance. The Pathfinders now add a new aroma to the already stinking mass of mangrove roots on their feet.

Ibid, had to move you 5ft to the west. You were on the eaves! Falling through and all. I should add that if you jump through those eaves, you won't take any damage. You will have to make a DC 15 acrobatics roll to stay on your feet, though!

GM Damo. Got a question for you, a situation is happening that I honestly don't know how to rule on. I would Like to cast murderous command, which has a duration of 1 round. It says that the target will attack the nearest ally on his next turn. I just want to make sure that the duration will not end on my turn, before my target will get to act.... Making the spell useless.

I will abide by your ruling either way, but just wanted to be sure. Thanks.

Murderous command away. It will take effect in the surprise round in difficult terrain (meaning they can't close and attack with a charge). However, the roof isn't difficult terrain, meaning they will drop their crossbow and charge (drawing melee weapon during the charge) and all will be fine. That is how I read "to the best of their ability". Just target Ungala or Jim.

If forced to make another ruling on it (ie. if it were all difficult terrain), I would say that they have to move during surprise round, menacing their ally (threatening them) and then get a standard action or move action (whichever is appropriate based on their allies' reactions) on round 1 before having their remaining action under "free will".

If no difficult terrain and in the surprise round, I'm not sure that I would grant two attacks. I would probably rule that the full attack is what they'd take - which would put them past the full round. I'd just grant the threat until the following round, and remove a move action from them for that round to make it fair.

"Round" to me means a move and a standard.

I jumped from the roof as part of my movement and negated the damage with the acrobatics roll. I tried to find something in the acrobatics or falling rules to confirm the legality of that (that it can be part of a move instead of its own move action), but couldn't find anything either way. Okay, so that's an acrobatics check to do a long jump followed by an acrobatics check to avoid falling damage. :-) I'd allow some kind of rule for extra distance based on your height advantage, maybe a +10 to your check for the long jump.

However, doesn't matter now anyway... back to the gameplay thread.

Well going invisible, scaling a wall, and attacking with 2 attacks w/ shocking grasp while she is flatfooted and I could use Arcane Accuracy

Scimitar Attack W/ Arcane Pool Point & Spell Combat & Arcane Accuracy: 1d20 + 6 + 1 - 2 + 3 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 1 - 2 + 3 + 3 + 1 = 15
Scimitar Damage w/ Arcane Pool Point: 1d6 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 12
Shocking Grasp Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5) = 13

Scimitar Attack W/ Arcane Pool Point & Spell Combat & Arcane Accuracy: 1d20 + 6 + 1 - 2 + 3 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 1 - 2 + 3 + 3 + 1 = 24
Scimitar Damage w/ Arcane Pool Point: 1d6 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 10

So that would have been 35 hp before she knew I was there.

Then she would have been on -11 (including her 3 existing damage) and bleeding out. Would have been a very different set of posts after that!!!
