The Nameless GM |
Due to the high, high, high interest, I'm gonna set up two games. One of these games will be run by me. The other will be run by GM Razor, my wife.
In my game will be the three players who have characters:
- Grun Armin the Half-Orc Sorcerer
- Tamir Ibn Ammad the Human Rogue
- Drogan Thralldrin the Dwarven Wizard
For the rest of you, we'll be assigning you to the different parties on a first come first serve basis with one exception. Hejin, your character, once you make it, will be in Razor's party. We already have a rogue in my party, so we'll try to keep the parties as even as we can.
Phoenix: Part of the reason I said only the core classes is because those are the easiest to play. If you feel like you can play an Inquisitor, I'm gonna ask that you submit both a concept as well as a basic outline. Stats, domain, and deity. Anything else would be nice, but those three things are necessary for an Inquisitor.
Sam: There's plenty of room! All you have to do is submit a character/concept for a character and we can decide from there.

For diety i thought about Gorum - rage domain or Milani - healing domain, and greatsword mastery as 1st level feat. Or probably if you allow inquistor ideal instead of diety then something like Crusade (essentially Gorum but claiming that they fight for righteous cause, not because they like to fight)
Concept is 121 year old elf who hates being told what to do. He is chaotic neutral and don't like follow codices or rules, but often enraged when he sees injustice.
I also considered animal domain, but probably controlling inquisitor and giant white lion at the same time is not advisable for newbies :)

The Nameless GM |
Phoenix: Ok, I have a few questions/suggestions for your build.
1: If you're trying to be melee oriented, this is build isn't very good. Yes you have a lot of strength, but you'll only have 8 hit points due to your con mod. 9 if you include your favored class bonus.
2: I liked looking at Milani, but I'm gonna limit you to the major deities. The reason is these deities are known world wide, while the minor deities aren't as well known.
3: There is no Rage Domain. Rage is a Subdomain, which takes the place of a domain ability. The Rage Subdomain replaces the ability you get at 8th lvl, so at this point there is no reason to take it. If you want to, go for it. You don't get the bonus spells or spell slots, but you still get the abilities.
4: If you're going with Gorum, he doesn't have the Destruction domain, but thankfully it doesn't matter. Inquisitors can choose to follow ideals instead of a specific deity.
5: Inquisitors do get the proficiency with your deity's favored weapon, but I haven't been able to find a feat called Greatsword Mastery. If you can link it to me, I'll consider it, since it sounds like a 3rd-Party feat. There are feats with Mastery in their name, but those are high, high level feats.
Fill out these flaws/problems, and we have ourselves an Inquisitor!

DarkPhoenixx |

Yea, i know about lack of Con. Gonna take Toughness as soon as i can so at least mitigate low HP somehow.
Sorry, by greatsword mastery i ment Martial Weapon Proficiency (Greatsword). Should spell the names right, i guess.
About Gorum, pathfinder wiki said he have destruction >_<. But ideal sounds better anyway, it is nice that you allow it. I wonder if i can get proficiency with greatsword as favored weapon.
As for rage can i still get destruction smite from main domain? I thought i work just like "At lvl 1 you get destruction smite, but instead of aura you get rage at lvl 8". Just want to make sure if i understand it right.

Gm Razor |

As an inquisitor you do get proficiency with the favored weapon of your deity I believe.
Yep found it
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: An inquisitor is proficient with all simple weapons, plus the hand crossbow, longbow, repeating crossbow, shortbow, and the favored weapon of her deity. She is also proficient with light armor, medium armor, and shields (except tower shields).
So you actually would not need to use your first Lvl feat on that.
As for the rest, I am gonna leave that to the Nameless GM for when he gets home because he has a lot of experience with the Inquisitor class than I do.

The Nameless GM |
So I was wrong, Gorum does have the Destruction domain. Take it if you want, the Destruction Smite is a good domain ability.
Since you seem to know what you're doing, go ahead and make yourself and Inquisitor. You'll be in my party, as I want to keep a close watch on you.
Sam: I did say you can join. If you have a concept for a character, please tell us!

The Nameless GM |
Calthan, welcome to the party!
Since it sounds like you've handled Pathfinder before, I'm gonna put you in a position where if a newer player wants to join, I'm gonna ask you to step down. They'll take precedence as they don't know anything about the game while you know it inside and out.
An earlier post by Loup will lead you to a thread that has a great guide to playing the game in a Play-By-Post style.
As for character, a Druid would be a welcome edition. If you want to make a separate alias for your companion you can, but I'd recommend you don't as it makes the game that much harder to play.
Since you have class and race already established, I'm gonna need more to work on. I'll need a few stats, concept, and choice of domain or animal companion.
If you read up, you'll see that we're gonna be doing this in two teams because of all the interest. You will be on GM Razor's team along with Hejin. Everyone else will be on my team as Razor doesn't have as much experience with an Inquisitor.
To sum it up, here are the current standings:
(Lord_Viper_69 as) Grun Armin the Half-Orc Sorcerer
(Gendarmes as) Drogan Thralldrin the Dwarven Monk
(Oouja as) Tamir Ibn Ammad the Human Rogue
fbdaury
Calthan as a nameless Human Druid
EleMentalist as an Arcane Duelist
Fedorian Silverleaf
akolbi as a Cleric of Sarenrae
DM Yodler
Loup Blanc (Backup Vet)
Check the lists posted here. If I missed your name, let me know and I'll update the list.
If your name is on the Undecided list, if you wish to play you'll need to send me either a race and class concept, and character concept, or a character sheet before you're put into one of the teams.

Good concept, good stats, sounds like you've done this a time or two :D
Get me a character sheet/alias and you're in!
As for the rest of you!!!
If you've shown interest, now would be the time to make a character or continue to show your interest.
Everyone on the Undecided List will need to have a character submitted before we can begin. If you have any questions about how to build a character or any character question, please don't hesitate to contact me or any of my friends!

The Nameless GM |
Vixen, thanks for your interest!
Currently there are two slots in my game and four slots in GM Razor's game.
Since you are pretty experienced at PbP and Pathfinder, I'll accept a concept now, but don't get your hopes up. This game is intended for new players and new forum visitors, so I'd more than likely put you in a team after we determine who's staying and who's not gonna participate.
If a newer player does show interest, I'd like for you to step down.
If need be, I'll start a game for vets just because I'm getting interest from all sides.

Grand Moff Vixen |

That brings up another question. If you start a game for vets, what races and classes would be allowed? I realize that you made the first two games for new players and limited them accordingly.
I would like to see additional options open to us as I get ideas and concepts that use more than just the core book.
I think I will apply for the tentative role of ranger (warden) in GM Razor's group. I will keep an eye on things and should new players decide they want in I can drop if needed.
The role I am thinking is that of a trapper who can function as a knowledgeable wilderness type for locals and similar.

Calthan |

Grand Moff Vixen |

Wasn't quite sure how to get you a character sheet so I loaded him up on imgur
Also no idea how the Alias thing works I'll work on figuring that out next and I'll probably go with Greydon.
If you want to make a character sheet from Hero Lab that is compatible with the Paizo forums, go to file>output hero statblock>bb code tab. Select the copy button and then paste the code into an alias you created here on Paizo. And viola! You have a character such as I have linked here!
I added additional spoiler tags for some info I wanted to convey. Other than that, all the class, race and other info came straight out of Hero Lab.

Ah ha! Excellent! Thanks for the help Vixen

To set up an Alias, you just click on My Account at the top of the page and click on "Create New Alias" under message board settings.
Vixen:, I like it, but she's 2nd lvl. If you wanted her in the Vet game, 1st.
Valymer: I love it!!!! You're in!!
We actually had to have another character step down. He was gonna be an Elven Fighter as well, but had to leave due to personal matters.
I'm gonna slide you in with GM Razor's group. Your current allies are Hejin's unmade rogue and Greydon Steadywind the Druid.

My apologies. I only meant for that alias to be an example.

Ok Sam, that sounds like a good build. If you have any questions on how to build your character, shoot me or any of the vets a PM and we would be more than happy to help you.
As for everyone else who has expressed interest that hasn't said a thing after the interest post, if you want to stay, let me know somehow.
I now have a deadline for character submissions. Make sure you look.
New players: You have one week from today to submit a character, so your deadline is June 16th at Midnight MDT. On June 17th, no more characters will be accepted from new players and the vets will fill the remaining slots.
Vets: When the 17th rolls around, you will have two days (19th) to decide who's team you want to be on and what role you want to play. After you have submitted your character, the games will start. If the Vets are all in the same game with no new players, we can make a Vets game with the same rules I stated before. No Gunslinger, gun based archtypes are ok, no Rich Parents, no Campaign Traits, no evil. Otherwise, go nuts. There is a very good chance I will join the Vet game as an NPC.
If anyone has any objections, please PM me.

Bradison, we still have plenty of room for newcomers. I'd like a concept for your character before I determine if you'll stay. We currently have 8 characters. We will most definitely be splitting the teams, so a character concept/sheet will be greatly appreciated.
Gennor the Melodious: Welcome to the pool! We will determine who you will be playing with on June 17th.

At a very young age Truaks was attacked by a horde of undead servants of Lamashtu. The attack would have killed him had a Monk not stopped the attack and saved his life. Unable to remember anything or anyone from his past prior to the attack Truaks vowed his life to the monk and rooting out all evil. The monk left him with the local Church of Torag, who then raised him to be the man he has become. Ever since Truaks has served the Church.

Players to be, if you have not heard there is a big fire in black forest Colorado. myself and Nameless GM are possibly going to be evacuated from our house. So if we are, then we will have to put this game on hold until we are safe at home again.
You can still submit characters. The deadline is on suspension for now.
