Hey, i'm back from the big island.. i also have contracted a form of volcanic plague. I'll post tomorrow when i'm not collapsing under the weight of NyQuil

Went to update, and realized you guys hadn't picked a direction..

To the east, the cavern opens to a wide underground lake spanned by a narrow stone bridge slick with muck and the droppings of bats. It will be treacherous going across, lest the Tribe slip into the ominously churning waters below.

To the west, a narrow ledge skirts the same lake and curves to the south.

Dead ahead (south) a narrow corridor leads down a ramp to a wider chamber.

which way do you go? if no reply, i pick tomorrow.

Mud squelches beneath the hobnailed boots of the mighty Tribe of the Bleeding Storm! The sound echoes throughout the cavern, amdist the dripping water falling from the cave-teeth hanging from the ceiling. The pool beneath the stone bridge ripples ominously with the movement of unseen creatures within. With a great spay of water, a naked giant claws her way to the bridge. She's tall and gangly, with rotting blue hide and large yellow canines protruding from beneath narrowed eyes. She raises her massive claws and hisses.
The Hero Chief must sleep!

She launches herself at the tribe!

No one was surprised because they saw the ripples in the lake. Choot's up first

"No the Hero Chief stands before you. Mighty Thoku shall don the regalia of he who you served. You should bow before the new Chief creature of the deep!"

Is the giant in O,P/16,17?

Shakraal's lips curl and hisses as the behemoth rises dripping from the water.

Her magic is precious, and she lusts to also grow large and grapple the creature female to ....thing.

Is female or male?

She opts to roar at the creature, and pulses with her enormous rage. Then the wyrdwarrior makes the necessary incantations and gesticulations to become giant...but again, her mundane armor bars her passage to the eldritch. She roars again in futility...

Shakraal the flood troll was a female
As one, the Tribe descends on the she-troll! Kern's warclaw cuts deep into the wench's side. His steel catches in her rubbery hide, but still rotten green blood spills freely from the wound, even as Grell and his chief, Mighty Thoku, clamp their mighty jaws on the troll's legs. They feel bone splinter betwixt their mighty fangs as each pulls. Somehow, the brute stands, and roars a challenge. She raises her claws to tear into mighty Thoku's sacred flesh. But, Choot Doomspeaker, slave of Dread Zagresh, casts a powerful smoke! Dark light spills from his tongue and hurtles with a sure eye through their, slamming into the dam's head. The thing explodes in a spray of green-black blood and brain, and the body collapses to the ground, dead.

You guys eviscerated her before she even got a chance to act. She wont' regenerate unless she's in flowing water. It is known among the people of Belkzen that flood trolls can only regenerate in water

The Tribe of the Bleeding Storm stands victorious atop the ruined remains of the flood troll!

But, the treasure of the Hero Chief calls! They boldly stride down the sloping ramp from their battle with the troll. They round a bend and see a great chamber lined with six giant skeletons standing on each side. Four of the skeletons stand upright, holding the roof above of the cavern nearly 30 feet above the floor. Two of the skeletons, however, stand tall with stone clubs in their hands. The stone shatter beneath the boots of the tribe, sending puffs of dust into the air. As the final echo of their footfalls disappear, one of the corpses pulls itself from the wall, raising its club in rage.

Without blinking and unfazed by the monstrosity in front of her Shakraal steps in close, and snarling a guttural warcry, swings her giant warfang. She cuts at the death-touched giant, but her blade parts through the monster's bones, and she cuts only air!

Kern drops his axe and draws his warhammer as he advances on the skeleton. "Stay back, Grell." he snarls, knowing her claws will be useless against the skeleton. But, for all his bravery and the strength of his thews, his steel-fist strikes only the earth, and not the brittle bones one of Zagresh's horde.

Mighty Thoku launches himself at the monstrosity, fang and claw tearing in the skeleton with abandon! His claws scar and splinter the doom-creature, but even his fierce strength is no match for the power of Dread Zagresh! He clamps his mighty jaws about one of skeleton's legs and pulls, but the still the giant stands! it looks down at the chieftain, hatred burning in its eye sockets and kicks at mighty Thoku sending him rolling on his back, belly exposed like a weakling!
He failed the trip check by 10. Also, he has DR 5/bludgeoning, so i had to knock 5 off of each hit, for 4 points of damage total.

Ozak eyes the skeleton warily. "Gorum's rusty codpiece! Now THAT is one big pile of bones!" Full of Verex's wily skill, Ozak steps backwards, out of the fray, watching the beast as he skirts around to the north, keeping his distance. He looks at the others, and nods, pointing quietly to himself and then behind the skeleton.

With wild fury, Hakak roars and swings his grain-hewer. The blade cuts deep notches along the creature's ribs, as Fleshripper harrows his feet!

Choot forms another of Selzarian's smokes! Sparks and wisps of power billow from his tongue. They solidify into a stone black as night and glowing bright as a torch! The stone flies with keen sight of the Doom of All Things, and punches a hole clean through the skeleton's skull!

Round 2
The skeleton pulls back on its rotting spear and strikes twice! It's bone-stinger thrusts forward, like a the scorpion of the wastes, thrusting first towards Mighty Thoku!

But, Zagresh has turned his gaze from the chief of the Bleeding Storm, and the bone-stinger stabs only earth!

Ozak continues to move around behind the skeleton. He begins to clamber down the cliff face, dropping down the last bit.

GM: How high is the 'cliff' that is in front of me? I want to get down to the area behind the skeleton. Ideally this would involve a hang drop from the lip of the cliff, assuming it is no more than 15' to 25' high. Willing to take a bit of falling damage but plan to use acrobatics to reduce the damage if possible.

If it is more than 25' up then I will try to climb down instead, using the giant skeleton against the wall as a "ladder." Hopefully the skeleton will not come alive. :) As long as the skeleton provides good handholds (DC 10) I will use accelerated climbing. If I am rolling climb instead of acrobatics my result is -3 lower because of the accelerated penalty.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

If it is 15' high then I hang for the first 5 feet or so then drop 10' for no damage. If it is 25' high then I will take 1d6 damage and be prone at the end of the fall. If I am climbing then I make it 10 feet down the skeleton against the wall.

Shakraal swings her sharp warfang at the walking corpse. But her steel catches on the bone-spear of her foe, and she staggers backward with the shock! She feels shame well within her! Hers is the strength of the tuskless! Likewise, Kern attacks the giant, and his steel-claw does little better.

Hakak Earth-speaker, however, brings honor to the Tribe of the Bleeding Storm! He swings his grain-cutter and commands his slave to savage the graveman. His swing is true and he cuts deep into his foe's bones, even as Fleshripper gnaws and fractures the brute's legs.

So, Choot, Thoku, and Ozak are left this round

it's a 10 foot drop, you get down safely. I'll throw your post in with Thoku and Choot's post

Cool. How tall is the skeleton?

It's Large, so let's go 10 feet. I'm really dragging today. SO full update tomorrow night.

Male Shadow's Status | Orc Cleric 3 (Undead Lord) /Sorcerer 4 (Ghoul Touched Bloodline) | HP=72/72 | 7/7 Channels | AC=20 | Init. +2 | F +7 | R +3 | W +12 | Per +6 | Cold Resistance 5

It is clear to the Cleric that magic will not bring this beast low, at least no magic he currently has, only steel will do.

The cleric draws his axe and charges at the pile of bones, One day such a creature will be my servant but for now...

Greataxe Attack Flank1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 1 + 2 = 23

Critical?1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 1 + 2 = 18

Damage - 1d12 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Critical Damage if applicable - 1d12 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Unf&@%ingbelievable...

in a way, that's is seriously awesome

Choot doesn't want to damage the merchandise. Shakraal sees his weakness...for bones...

@Choot: You missed 1d12+1 there... greataxe crits are x3!

You are correct! I critical so infrequently did not even realize it!

Critical 1d12 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Initiative:

Choot Othul: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Hakak: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Kern Dead-Eye: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Ozak: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Shakraal Kringsdaughter: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Thoku Blood Drinker: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Skeleton: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Thoku leaps to his feet and savages the legs again. His powerful teeth shatter the giant's femur, sending bone fragments flying through the air. Yet, still the Zagresh-blessed corpse stands!

Choot raises his warfang high over his head and swings. His powerful thews bulge in his arms. With one, great heave, he swings the axe in a mighty over-handed chop that crashes down through the ribs of the creature. The skeleton shatters in a brilliant spray of splinters and collapses to the earth.

On the wrist of the fallen warrior is a bracelet made of bone plaques covered in giant runes.

Beyond, the dark cavern echoes. Something stirs within.

LOOOOOOT:

Hidden at the feet of the skeletons are...
1 mwk great axe,
1 mwk scythe,
2 mwk double-axe,
1 mwk breastplate,
1 mwk Hide
1 +1 longspear
a giant-sized bone charm bracelet that is just the right size to be an orc-sized armored kilt +1. it functions as a wand of lesser restoration.

"Well done, my brother. That was a swing worthy of a true orc."

Heh I love the armored kilt +1 being a wand of lesser restoration. Tailor-made for Choot, which is perfect since he just ripped into that thing! :)

Ozak's eyes go up as Choot strikes down the skeleton. "Yes... well done!"

Ozak turns around and looks down the passage to the east. He listens carefully for a moment... trying to determine what stirs there.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

LOOT:
* Ozak would like the masterwork breastplate - his is not masterwork.
* Choot - do you want the +1 longspear? You could probably use a reach weapon, and the damage will be close to your greataxe since it is +1. If not, it is a good backup weapon for just about anybody.
* The Lesser Restoration effect is very convenient. How many charges? Ozak has 2 STR damage and could use a charge of it.

Female Half-Orc Witch (Scarred Witch Doctor) 3/Barbarian 1; HP 54/54; AC 16/T 11/ FF 15; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +5; CMB +3, CMD 14; Per +6, Init +1; Speed 40 ft;

Nice work Choot!!!
If Choot does not wish the longspear then Shakraal wil take it - could be good for reach when enlarged...tho' the same works for anybody I guess. ;)

Shakraal blinks as the mammoth skeleton teeters and collapses under the deathmaster's axe. She quickly checks to makes sure none have noted her weakness or failure.

"What do you hear Daggertooth?" she whispers, then listens also...

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
