SO... I DELETED THIS POST 3 TIMES ON ACCIDENT.. stupid taxes
Guards: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Shakraal Kringsdaughter: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Hakak: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Thoku Blood Drinker: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Choot Othul: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Kern Dead-Eye: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Ozak Badaxe: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Shakraal exults once more as her foe falls. With some care she prowls around to embitter more weaklings, ready to cleave them in twain... but her bloodclaw cuts nothing. Taking their cue from the wyrd-caller, Fleshripper and his earth-speaker master descend on their own prey. But, they, too, find that their warclaws taste only air.
Not so, mighty Thoku! The chief of the Blood Storm clamps his great tusks about the leg of one of the warriors and squeezes, crushing bone and ripping the leg clean at the knee. The man collapses to the ground, howling in agony, his blood steaming on the ground as offering to Mighty Nulgreth! His sweet cries fill the Tribe's ears, but are cut short with a powerful swing from the chief's sharp claws. Brain and blood coat the walls and floors as the warrior falls.
The great shaman of Zagresh, filled with the blood lust that is the gift of his people swings his own warfang at the guard. But, the human has the Rat God's own luck! His boot slips on his stinking waters and he lurches to the left, barely dodging the shaman's mighty swing!
Kern and Grell, however, circle their prey like a great pack, warfangs and claws bared. As one, master and beast strike, opening the guard from both sides and spilling intestines upon the floor! The man cries out to his pathetic goddess and collapses amidst a pile of his own steaming offal.
Last, the Daggertooth! True his name is! He swings his twice-fanged shaft in a brilliant arc, slashing at the guard once, then reverses the swing and cuts up into the weakling! He hooks the blade beneath the gelding's ribs and pulls forward towards his waiting jaws. Flesh and sinew tear from cowardly throat as easily as cooked meat, coating the Badaxe in a great fountain of blood! The corpse falls to the floor with a quick flick of Ozak's wrist.
Round 3
Hakak's foe, clutching his innards to his body, blood raining down to the stones, drops his sword and runs with the strength of the desperate. He makes five steps before Choot's axe sends his head flying to the ground. Such is the fate of cowards!
attack Thoku: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
The final guard offers a howl of war as great as any Rull cry born of orc throats and swings wildly at Thoku. But, although his tongue has finally made a sound fit for a warrior's ears, his blade is still held in the puny arms of a human! Mighty Thoku barely feels the blade clang at his clawed feet!
Ozak "Badaxe" Daggertooth
Ozak grins madly, his mouth full of gore from the downed human.
He steps to the side of Thoku, and stares balefully at the last guard.
5' step to grid F7, then move action to study target.
"PPPTHHHHUUUUU!!!!"
Ozak spits the blood and chunks of flesh filling his mouth at the last guard.
"HAHAHAHAH!!! Guess who's next on the menu?!?!"
Standard action attempt to demoralize. Not that we need it, really, but why not. Hopefully I'll get a circumstance bonus... :)
Intimidate (demoralize): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
Yeah, that will probably do it! The dice gods have favored me this fight.

Choot Othul
Pretty sure that just killed the last one Thoku!
"Zagresh revels in our Slaughter, come we must away to the Temple to claim the prize for our Tribe!" Choot points to the Temple but waits for Thoku to take the first steps out of respect for the Cheiftan.
Dragonofashandflame
Once more, Thoku's mighty tusks taste manflesh, sends another human to his knees. HE heaves with his great neck and sinks his claws deep into the puny softskin's chest. With but a single flex of his mighty thews, he rips the man into pieces, showering the room in blood and viscera. The man doesn't even scream.
End of combat. There's a ladder out of the room, or youc an go back the way you came
Thoku the Bloodied One
Dripping in blood thoku moves up the ladder I assume that's the way out^_^

Ozak "Badaxe" Daggertooth
Ozak looks around happily. He beheads the one guard's corpse and picks up the head by the hair. He speaks to the head.
"Can't forget my promise to you, now, can I?"
Ozak looks around, and takes one of the human's helmets that would fit him, and starts to hammer a spike through the top of the helmet.
"Just gimme a sec..."
When finished he puts the helmet on, then puts the head on the spike on the helmet.
"Hah! There we go!"
If there is time, Ozak will go around and grab belt pouches off the guards (and can count the coin later). He will also quickly look over the guards' weapons and if any look nice (i.e. masterwork or better) he will pick them up. If other people are doing that then he won't worry as much, but Ozak is a mercenary and wants loot.
Ozak also doesn't have a backup weapon so in the absence of something masterwork he would take an ordinary weapon (whatever kind they were using).
Kern Dead-eye
Kern shakes his head at Ozak's unnecessary desecration of the dead, but says nothing, and follows.
Dreadmasque'd Shakraal
Shakraal wastes no time on the dead, calming herself and following her illustrious leader up...a ladder.
In time, all before me shall quake, and those who build ladders will build them only to more successully create giant effigies of me, to be filled with the unclean and the vile alike. Fuel for the flames!!!
Dragonofashandflame
The ladder leads up to a second floor in the tower. It is empty, although hastily so. Humans have no sense of defense. A door leads outside to the west, no doubt to stairs or a ladder down to the ground. A second ladder leads up to a third floor. Above, the sounds of booted feet pound on floor, drawing nearer and louder.
Apparently, the humans do know something of defense.
You can 1) leave through the western door and continue on with the mission. or 2) lay in wait, and kill some more humans
Thoku the Bloodied One

Ozak "Badaxe" Daggertooth
You can 1) leave through the western door and continue on with the mission. or 2) lay in wait, and kill some more humans
Are the floors and interior structure wood or stone? If wood, a bit of oil and a spark might leave the humans a parting gift. :)
Choot Othul
Choot follows Thoku knowing that once the mission is complete there will still be plenty of humans nearby to send to Zagresh!
Ozak "Badaxe" Daggertooth
They're wood floors, stone walls.
Ozak looks around after hearing the booted feet above.
"Anyone got any lamp oil?"
If anyone offers, Ozak will pour it out on the floor and strike a spark.
"Give them something to think about instead of chasing us," Ozak says, grinning. He chases after the rest of the party.
Choot Othul
Choot nods his head no to Ozak by his body language (his face cannot be seen behind his mask) he looks disappointed knowing that the idea that Ozak had was a wonderful one indeed.
Dragonofashandflame
The bursts open the doorway from the tower and descend the rickety ladder to the ground below. Once more upon the earth, with the sweet smell of wood smoke filling the air, the Tribe of the Bleeding Storm moves towards the the next portcullis. Flames devour rooftops, and the Tribe can see the very tops of siege towers rise above the walls. The wooden walls shake with the thuds of boulders and the roars of giant fists! Suddenly, the eastern wall shudders and explodes in a shower of splinters, a giant with massive tusks and dim, rage filled eyes bursts through, taking out much of the inner wall as well.
Human warriors descend on the creature and rush the Tribe!
You have a choice, take the path towards the Tomb, or kill the humans and, possibly, free up the giant to do more damage. map will appear once i have your decision
Ozak "Badaxe" Daggertooth
Suddenly, the eastern wall shudders and explodes in a shower of splinters...
Okay, but the eastern wall is back down in the lower town isn't it? Doesn't the part we're in have a cliff on the east end? I don't think we want to go back down to the lower town now.
Kern Dead-eye
Kern will leave the choice up to our great and bloody leader. :-P
Thoku the Bloodied One
Ya its a hard choice but my mind set is get the prize so...
Thoku looks at the invasion then toward his prize "lets move we should not waste this chance... move"
and we can so go intimidatetron after if we need to ^_^
Choot Othul
Choot follows the Chieftan, theGiant be damned, it is here for this purpose...
Dragonofashandflame
and you made your decisions. awesomesauce!
The Tribe heeds the words of their chief, and follow Mighty Thoku across the small courtyard and along the narrow ledge of the cliff. With the sure foot of the people, their boots crunch the gravel and along the edge of the humans' Hopespring. Boulders have crashed into the pool, soiling the clear waters and sending a small cascade over the edge of the cliff side. Fire and more boulders have scoured the edge of the pool, shattering the image of the weakling human goddess and burning away the brushes about her feet. The cavern stands open and clear!
The Bleeding Storm marches boldly across the boulders, and intothe deep darkness of the waiting tomb. Gossamer cobwebs hang from the ceiling of this rough tunnel, and the misty spray from the Hopespring’s rubble outside glimmers faintly on strands of spider silk. Chunks of rubble lie scattered on the floor amid piles of dirt.
Undaunted, the tribe enters the shallow opening, abandoning the light of the war-fires, and relying on the darksight of the Orc. The air in this cavern is humid but cool, and a thin sheen of
condensation coats its rocky walls. A narrow passage exits
the cavern to the west. To the south, the floor drops away into
darkness, while a bridge of stone leads to another cavern to the
east. The sound of trickling water echoes through the cavern. A faint stirring of the air and a small clacking of claws against stone is all the warning they have...

In the black and white of cave-eyes, Kern sees a seething mass of dark shapes like rats. They are blacker than the darkness of the cave, like the shadows of shadows. As one, the rats turn their heads impossibly around to stare down at the brave orcs. They screech and drop upon the warriors!

Hakak and Fleshripper launch themselves at the swarm of Zagresh-blessed rats. The Earth-caller's grain-hewer swings through the swarm, scattering shadowstuff to the four winds. His beast follows him, fang and claw crunching and rending the corpse-rats with fury!
The Daggertooth follows the earth-shaman! His war fang swings twice in a vicious arch, catching the swarm once and splattering shadow stuff against the cave walls. But on the back swing, the rats part around the blade like water.
Brave Thoku steps back, pulling himself from the shadowy clawws.

"Spread out! They can get several of us at once if we bunch up!"
If I am nauseated I will just do the move. Right now if they come after me they won't get anyone else. I am down to 5 HP now.

Horrified by the swarm of tiny vermin, Shakraal has been...stunned. Not afraid. At all. Because that would be weak. And unseemly. She watches fascinated as her tribe are swamped. Her mind reels, opportunities, and possibilities. Then, galvanised by something, she steps forth... holding her hands outstretched...she makes an incantation, and waves her hands about...but to her surprise...nothing happens... She feels it, Sezelrian's power builds within her but Varg's craft denies the Fire God's smokes and his power dribbles from her splayed fingers like the puny blood of the humans.
Mighty Thoku and the Dread Choot each fill their lungs with Sezelerian's smokes! The Fire God's power flows through their blood and hangs heavy on their tongues. In the Bloodied One's claws, his own divine flesh pools into a reddened ball of sticky liquid. While, in the shaman's emaciated hands, the rotting mucus of a corpse dangles from his outstretched fingers. Both hurl their spells at the swarms of chattering Zagresh-blessed rats, and the shade-beasts squeal in pain, as the smokes of the Bleeding Storm burn away the shadows devouring the tribe!
The Daggertooth stomps and swings at the shade-beasts. But, Zagresh's power is too great, and the swarm parts around each of his blows. He breaks away from the creatures, readying a vial filled with one of Verex's many tricks.
But Kern and his beast pounce as one upon the swarm. The warcat crunches the shadow-beasts between her mighty jaws, shattering countless bones and ripping dark-flesh to the winds. Her master's fury is just as great. He swings his-double bladed warfang in great arcs, as true gifts to the Blood God. The beasts scream in agony and the swarm collapses in a burst of devowering black light.....
The Tribe is victorious! But, they are gravely wounded, and paths still lie open. The tomb must be plundered! They must win!

Not sure how much healing we have but Choot did heal me once already in the previous fight.
BTW, what are the effects of Filth Fever? When do we make the next save?
Choot Othul
Choot shakes his head, "The Destroyer frowns upon repairing that which has been torn asunder! If we are to claim victory we must push through this setback. Wounds and diseases will make the Tribe stronger through overcoming them or culling the weak...
Chieftain we must move and quickly for that which we seek must lay close at hand!"

Ozak shrugs. "I don't know your Destroyer, but I do know that Our Lord in Iron desires that the battle continue. As I said, I'll fight, but I'll fight longer if I have healing."
For the record I am at 5 HP - one more hit and I will probably go down. I also don't have ferocity - traded that for a bite attack.
Choot Othul
Kern will have to do the healing as Choot is fresh out and he can only spontaneously swap for Inflict spells.
