Choot roars in victory reveling in the might of his melee prowess something he rarely is able to do.

He kneels down and looks over the items in the cache, "This item may be well worth me taking". He dons the Kilt and its mystical knowledge fills his head.

"With this I can repair much damage done to those who suffered the bites of the vermin, who is in need?"

Assuming Orzak said yes out loud, Choot uses the effect on him. Lesser Restoration - Orzak 1d4 ⇒ 4.

Any idea how many charges left DM? I will take the spear if no one else wants it as Melee is my last resort in combat.

GM: Did I pick out anything with my perception roll?

My apologies, Ozak. Totally missed your roll
Ozak's sharp ears and eyes pick out a large shape deep within the inner chamber of the Tomb. The rotting corpse of an armored giant warrior sits upon a mighty stone chair! The helm has fallen to the side and faces the Tribe in the other chamber!

Map updated. Sorry it took me so long.

Ozak's keen eyes pierce Verex's gift. The cave's darkness holds no power to his sight! Ledges and stairs are carved into the stone walls of this wide-open, high-ceilinged cavern. Embedded in a fifteen-foot-tall spire
of centuries-old bones stands a mighty throne, up which sits the skeleton of a massive armored warrior. Though its flesh has long since rotted off its frame, the skeleton still is proud and regal amid the trappings of battle and mounds of gleaming treasure at his feet. The skeleton’s battered halfplate and scarred helmet hint at its many battles, and the warlord’s hands are clenched around a massive stone hammer. Beneath
the helmet, a thick, round rock has been embedded in one of the skeleton’s otherwise empty eye sockets.

Round 1
Thoku body tense and a grin comes across his face ["Old chief i honor your past, but your time has passed now the bleeding storm will put you to rest". The water dripping from the stalactites of the great cave thicken, and the cavern fills with the scent of fresh-spilled blood. The pools of water on the floor reddened as well, and both flows towards the mighty chief! Mighty Thoku roars as he the strength of the Blood God fills him and he doubles in size, ready to lock arms with the dead! "Doomspeaker, steel yourself i have not ordered you to die yet" Thoku yells at Choot in his giant form.

Choot, heading his chief's command, steps back from the corpse-walker. Even so, he, he calls upon his master, and feels the Doom of All Things enter his servant. The shaman becomes as one with the dead!

Serve me, orcs, or die! I am Uskroth, Hero-Chief of the Twisted Hearts! I made slaves of you long ago, and gave you war and blood! These... His voice is a gravely boom from beneath the confines of his helmet, full of command and power! He demands to be heard, and obeyed! He gestures towards the treasures heaped about his throne. These are the spoils of my conquest. They can be yours, as well. All you need do is bow to me, serve me, obey me in all things! Once more, his mighty earthbreaker lifts into the air. This time, however, it flares to life with a burning black flame. All you need do is DIE! He swings the great hammer in a fierce arc, bringing it down upon Choot's form!

Uskroth attacks Choot:

[dice=CRUNCH!1d20+7[/dice] miss

But, the slave of Zagresh fears not his master's call. He is willing to join his Horde in the Great Cavern. But, Zagresh does not yet call his shaman to his service! The cavern shakes with the force of the blow, and the hammer falls mere inches from Choot's booted feet! The ground splinters beneath the head of the mighty earthbreaker! Choot still yet clings to life!

Choot, Dead-Speaker withdraws back from the battle, calling upon the Destroyer to mend his shattered body, that he might bring more slaves to serve in Dread Zagresh's endless cavern! From the darkest depths of the cavern, twin burning flames of cold light flare to life. A roar sounds, like that of some great beast, and out thunders a massive dire bear, its rotting flesh covered in bony plates and spines. It stops at the shaman, and bites off his shattered arm at the elbow! Blood and bones spray across the cavern, as the sacred totem of the Destroyer feasts on Choot's ruined flesh. The bear roars again in victory and fades into nothingness. From the shattered and ruined stump of Choot's arm, a hand and forearm begin to painfully regrow!

No mechanical change, it's just flavor text.

Emboldened by the power of the Destroyer, and the Blood God's own gifts, Mighty Thoku roars in challenge and charges on all fours, a great blood-spirit himself! The chief's powerful jaws clamp hard about the giant's other leg, squeezing tight. This time, the corpse's armor squeals in protest and crumples beneath the Bloodied One's mighty fangs! Not yet finished, the dread warrior pulls back with his mighty head, flinging fell Uskroth to the dust!

The Hero-Chief snarls in fury and heaves himself up to stand with earth-breaker raised once more.

Bottom of Round 2 AoO first

The warriors of the Tribe of the Bleeding Storm rip and tear and cut at the Hero-Chief, even as the great giant thrusts himself to his feet. no AC buff from being prone because he tried to get up on his action. Fleshripper, though a truly savage and mighty beast, tastes only battered steel and not the moldering flesh trapped beneath Uskroth's metal skin. Even strong Thoku, the Blood-Drinker, cannot stop the rise of the dread giant. Yet, One-Eye and his fell beast, hold true the strength of the tribe! They rip and tear through corprse-flesh, with war steel and fang! The ground is littered with Uskroth's form and armor.

Round 2 regular actions

Every careful and mindful of the fray, Ozak skirts through the dark, watching, waiting, for the chance to strike.

Hakak thrust his fists into the earth, calling upon the Thunderer and his Mother to give strength and might to the roots and crawling things deep within the cavern's soil. Sezelerian's smoke pours form his tongue and crawls and coils about the earth=-speaker's arms and slips down into the earth. Dark grey tendrils, sickly pale and cold, fleshy and spongy to the touch, thrust up from the rock and soil of the cavern floor. They flail and whip and writhe in a thousand directions, the thin roots of some fell fungus called up by the great power of the Thunderer. Mighty Uskroth pulls against the fungus, ripping his great tree-trunk legs free, and readying himself to attack. But, the fungus pulls at him again, and it coils about his legs, sinking deep into the giant's rotting flesh and holding him fast to the ground!
-2 to AC from now on. that's AC 16, now, for those who are watchign at home

Shakraal is left, then it's Choot and Thoku again (at Round 3) and then Uskroth again

Round 2

His arm repaired, Choot watches his fellow packmates swarm the foe. it is time, death or glory.

With great ululation, the Bloodscreamer charges the walking-corpse. She brings her battletalon down in a powerful overhand chop that sinks deep into the rotting flesh of the Hero-Chief. A deep, foreboding curse wells from within the battered helm of the giant, and he raises his earthbreaker, once more ready to strike and shatter life from flesh!

But, first, Mighty Thoku attacks with his great jaws. "you will fall again old chief, go and see the destroyer Thoku roars and strikes at the giant's legs once more with his sacred tusks. Blessed though he is by the power of the Blood God, the great fangs of the chief of the Bleeding Storm cannot pierce Uskroth's metal hide.

Then, the slave of Zagresh intones his own oath: "The Chieftan said to fall, let Zagresh embrace you for he seeks your soul!" He lifts his warfang, the sacred axe of his faith. Battle-lust fills his soul, quickening his blood to a burning fever of madness. The Destroyer fills his thews with fury, and he roars a mighty Rull-song! He charges into the fray, joining his packmates in glorious battle! He swings his warblade in a mighty arc and the metal sinks deep into the flesh of corpse-walker. The thing screams in agony as purple flame bursts from its wound, bathing the cavern in an eerie light that does not glow. The shadow of a fierce dire bear rears on it hind legs against the wall of the cavern, its maw opening impossibly wide. It lunges down and devours Uskroth's shadow. The undead thing screams again, the flashing into a brilliance that outshines the Burning Angel above, yet gives no light. Then, nothing. Empty armor collapses to the ground and the mighty earthbreaker shrinks to the size of a simple blacksmith's hammer. The stone eye sparkles emerald and violet as it rolls to a stop at the foot of Uskroth's throne.

And... scene:

You've completed book 1. Kudos!
You're now 3rd level. Isn't that special?
You have SOME decisions to make
1) do you want to wrap up things here (take over Skreed's horde--you were talking about doing that a while back)
2) simply set up shop and rest up for a bit restock etc (this can happen with or without the above happening)
3) or you can go about your merry way and continue with plot
whatever you choose, the plot will be waiting when you're ready, and i'd make it worth your while to take a detour, if you so choose.

Also, i had the chance to look over the third party orc variants. They're interesting and i don't totally hate them. Which is a bit of a surprise, considering i tend to not like 3pp stuff because i'm weird and a bit of a snob like that. So, if you wish, you can retool your character as one of the 3pp orc races when you do the level up thing.

LOOOOTS:

Assume all identifies happen, whoever wants to do the discussing can. The top three are non-sellable. They're artifacts, and the adventure kind of fails if they're not there. However, tools aren't really tools if they can't be used. We can talk about making gear into something useful.

Uskroth's Armor: This battered, well-used suit of +1 half-plate automatically resizes itself to match the size of its wearer. Once per day on command, the armor can bestow upon its wearer the effects of righteous might for 5 rounds. The wearer’s alignment determines the DR gained from this ability. A good wearer gains DR 5/evil, an evil wearer gains DR 5/good, and a wearer who is neither good nor evil chooses
which DR to gain the first time she activates this ability—once chosen, it cannot be changed.

Agrimmosh, the Hammer of Unmaking (Uskroth's Hammer): Agrimmosh appears to be a simple stone blacksmith’s hammer engraved with Minderhal’s holy symbol. It functions as a +2 impact warhammer that automatically resizes itself to match the size of its wielder. Once per day as a full-round action, the wielder of Agrimmosh can use the hammer to cast heightened enlarge person (Fortitude DC 23 negates). This effect lasts for 20 minutes. Whenever the wielder of Agrimmosh confirms a critical hit against a creature of the humanoid type, the target creature must succeed at a DC 23 Fortitude save or shrink by one size category, as by heightened reduce person. This effect lasts for 20 minutes.

The Eye of Uskroth [DC 20 geography or DC 24 Local to identity) This fist-sized hunk of dark, igneous rock is actually a magnificent geode whose rich violet and verdant emerald crystals form glittering crystalline patterns. It's a spectacular pleochroic variety of tourmaline, the nearest known deposits of which lie in the Mindspin Mountains to the south and west. The geode’s crystalline valleys and mounds reflect the exact topography of the Mindspin Mountains, and a carved groove along the mountains seems to indicate a trail through the mountain range. But, it's an incomplete copy! Odd pieces are missing...

You can sell the following loots, or we can adjust to useable gear of a comparable value. All sales will be at full value because 1/2 value punishes players for being creative.

* 1,300 gp in the pile of gold and jewels about his throne.

* masterwork orc double-axe
