The creature dodges a mighty swing of Issak's glaive, and pretty much ignore's Jaxom's attempts to strike it with his sword and shield.

Sensing there is nothing to attack where the flying creature was before it disappeared, Ameiko instead jumps down behind the human-sized creature, snapping out a kick at it. She connects with the back of its head, and it falls to the ground, twitching.

Jedech nods at Norhalo, and waits for some sign of the flying creature before acting.

Suddenly, from nowhere, 3 eagles appear, one swooping down on Ameiko, Issak, and Jaxom each. Drawing AoO from the three party members.

Jedech launches a bolt at the eagle heading for Jaxom, striking it. It vanishes after being wracked with electricity, leaving behind a small cloud of sulfur which dissipates in seconds.

Jaxom swings wildly at the eagle heading for Ameiko, not touching the creature in the slightest.

Ameiko does a sideways flip, catching the eagle with the heel of her boot, dragging it with her. It vanishes in a puff of sulfur as Ameiko's boot heel grinds down on it after completing her flip.

The flying creature appears from nowhere, and touches Norhalo, whose eyes gloss over slightly. -4 Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma for 40 minutes.

The creature laughs and says while flying back to the top of the chamber...

Thassilonian:
"None of you shall live to tell of your desecration of this most unholy of places!"
It gets close enough that Issak can reach it with his glaive.

Damn, forgot to include the one attack that connected..

The last remaining eagle manages to slash across Issak's face. 3 damage.

Jaxom slams his sword into the prone form of the unconscious creature.

Jedech reloads, and Norhalo empowers another of the rangers bolts, which he then fires at the flying creature. It doesn't even try to move to avoid the bolt as it flies wide of the mark. "Damnit gypsy boy! Got anything better that'll help me hit the overgrown gnat?!"

Seeing Calathes cast his spell, the tiny creature laughs and says..

Seeing the creature fly out of the reach of his glaive, Issak whips out his short sword and throws it, but misses the pest. His sword bounces of the ceiling and lands with a series of loud, bouncing clangs on the other side of the chamber.

Ameiko draws her bow and an arrow, and proceeds to fire the arrow at the creature. The arrow bounces off the creature. "Sonovabalor! This thing is either protected magically or is resistant to our weapons!"

Jaxom unleashes a series of expletives at the flying creature, and slashes the prone creature again, removing its head from its body.

Jedech is a little shocked, and pleased to see such words coming from Jaxom. He says, "Damn boy! I didn't know you had it in you!" The woodsman then laughs and smiles towards the enraged, former caravan guard.

Aside from a slight flapping of tiny, leathery wings, no one is able to detect the creature.

As moments pass, it becomes obvious the creature is either gone, or waiting for the group to leave.

Calathes:
If the creature flew past you, you didn't notice any sign of it whatsoever.

Norhalo:
As the rounds progress, you are able to pinpoint magical auras in the chamber. You notice various invisible sigils on the walls in a language or languages you don't recognize.
By far, the most powerful aura in the room is coming from the pool the creature climbed out of. Unfortunately, you are unable to determine what school of magic is most powerful in the pool, but you can tell there are multiple effects active in it

Calathes: I'll allow you to "uncast" your shocking grasp spell with a concentration (DC 11) check combined with a Spellcraft (DC 11) check.

Norhalo is looking in particular for low-level illusion school spell auras.

After several minutes, Jaxom visibly calms, his face changing from red with anger to white from blood loss and exhaustion.

Norhalo:
The only illusion auras you're finding are the invisible sigils on the walls, floor, and ceiling of the chamber.

Ameiko spends some time checking out the two connecting rooms, which are mostly empty. She does find a dagger with a rotted handle and a copper ring. After checking those rooms, she stands around waiting for the rest of the group to decide what to do next.

"Friend Calathes, I think you are correct. I see no sign of an active invisibility spell effect. There are various sigils on the walls, but I recommend against doing anything with them at this point." He holds his head gingerly in both hands. "What did that thing do to me? I feel like the morning after I tried Uncle Lel's special tonic...without the pleasure of the previous evening."

"Let us return to the hallway and go north*."

*Towards B3, I believe.

A red marble statue of a strikingly beautiful but, at the same time, monstrously enraged woman stands in the middle of this room, her stony expression twisted in fury. The woman wears flowing robes, and her long hair is held back from her face by an intricate headdress of hooks and blades. In her left hand she carries a large book, the face of which is inscribed with a seven-pointed star. Her right hand holds a glittering metal and ivory ranseur.

Knowledge (history) DC 35:
The statue depicts Runelord Alaznist, last known ruler of the Thassilonian realm of Bakrakhan.

This large chamber was obviously once a prison, as testified by the nearly two dozen cells that line the room’s perimeter. A rickety wooden platform overlooks the room, with two flights of stairs descending to the prison floor ten feet below. A five-foot-wide wooden walkway runs from the northern edge of the platform to a passageway to the east.

Still a while before Norhalo is back to his usual self.

As the group searches the chamber, they find the dusty skeletal remains of 17 people, but nothing beyond that. Aside from the bones, there is nothing of note in this chamber.

"To the east, then?"

Finding nothing of further interest, the group makes their way across the walkway, down a hall, and into yet another room.

This room contains several ancient relics of what appear to be torture implements, although their function and style seem strange and archaic. In one corner sits a spherical cage with spikes protruding inward from its iron bars. In another stands what appears to be a star-shaped wooden frame, its surface studded with hooks. And in the center of the room is a long table covered with leather straps and a number of cranks that seem designed to rotate and swivel. MAP
