Fil certainly couldn't carry it all.
Toruk the Traveler
Toruk will take the alchemist's fire and the potion of bull's strength if no one else wants them. Non healers should take the CLW potions. Honestly, we should take everything - put the pack mule to use.
Musami Forgeborn
I am fine with taking whatever we find useful. I just didn't want to be greedy and take too much. I am contemplating taking the masterwork warhammer, and maybe try to buy or make a shield for my off hand to bump my AC and make he a little more likely to stay standing.

Apologies to all with my absence this week. I've been a very busy person with multiple personal problems, but a death in the family has taken paramount importance. I will be back to really posting Sunday. And back to evening postings Monday (good news is I got a new job, from being unemployed, but all in the same week my car broke down and the death in the family, and I am a Pallbearer tomorrow at 11 AM).
Musami Forgeborn
Sorry for your loss Fil. Nice work on the job though.
GM Darkblade
Sorry for the absence guys. A day trip to Ireland WV for St. Patty's Day events yesterday ended up being an overnite in the backseat of my car. Engine trouble, no hotel nearby, no cell reception, and no PC left me pretty much back in the 1970's. Locals were nice enough to give me a ride somewhere for parts, took much of the day to repair it, but I finally made it home.
I will get everything caught up in the AM.
Musami Forgeborn
Ok.
Braggi Wrongeye
Cedryk does not appear to be carrying any gear for mapping.
I know, sorry. Braggi mentioned Cedryk just because he has seen him move in the wilds as appears to be at ease with pathfinding skills (i.e. has a high Survival). Also, he doesn't know Cedryk is going to leave us.
Braggi Wrongeye
I'm very sorry. I saw the notifications, but every time I wanted to post my turn something happened. I'll catch up and try not to let it happen again.
Filnefillan "Fil" Lotusbow
Sorry for my absence since Wednesday. Someone has placed Beshaba's Eyes on my (if we were in the Forgotten Realms, that is). I've been away from being able to post due to circumstances beyond my control, unfortunately. My apologies to everyone.
And poor Fil! Holy crap, but a deserved fate with whatever that slime is!
Jocasta Riverwood
I'm serious, by the way. In spite of having specifically called out that the zombies could probably open the doors from the inside, and playing a highly intelligent character, because I can't tell where the doors are on the map my character just walked right into their line of attack with no warning, no "you realize that the door is right next to you," etc.
Please just kill my character and I will leave the game.
Filnefillan "Fil" Lotusbow
Without a cleric, our current space will kill us if we try to fight the zombies. I can magic missile a few more times to try to prevent the overflow, now that I have the wand out, but Fil is intent on going to the stairs and going up them to use them as a choke point so that only 2 zombies can reach us at a time.
Jocasta, in light of your line of thinking, perhaps Jocasta, with that intelligence, would have been looking to bar the door closed, preventing the zombies from opening the door. I certainly would want to prevent the bum rush that we are now dealing with. You are a great player and I would hate to lose you. We can get out of this.
Musami Forgeborn
I follow your line of thinking Fil. Call it out in gameplay so Musami understands and he'll follow you up.
Filnefillan "Fil" Lotusbow
I will be at a family event tomorrow evening and Saturday, I will try to post tomorrow at normalish time, but Saturday I will not get a chance to post. If I do not post and my turn comes, my intent is to get in sight of zombies and then magic missile one. So far, 2 charges used.
Musami Forgeborn
I am fine with someone else joining. And a healer would be welcome. I was going to ask that, if Musami dies, I be allowed to roll up a replacement character of the healing variety.
Jocasta Riverwood
That's fine, as now that we're out of the dungeon, it's time for me to leave.
My displeasure with the zombie scene stems from one specific fact: We as players are (especially in this medium) wholly dependent on the DM to interpret the world and tell us what we see and how our actions reflect what is going on fictively.
In that particular scene, after specifically calling out "don't do this because it's bad," when I moved my token and could not tell that it was in a bad spot, instead of getting feedback like "just so you know, there's a door right there" or "are you sure? That doesn't mesh with what you were just saying," I got "Ok, your character is an idiot. Here, the thing you just warned everyone about? It happens to you. Because your character is a moron and you can't rely on the DM to tell you if what you think you are doing matches up with what's going on in the game world."
This makes it impossible to know that my actions will match up with my intent. Ergo, I am leaving.
Good luck with your replacements, and I hope you have an enjoyable game.
GM Darkblade
Players, I apologize for this situation and the resulting retirement of Jocasta. If anyone else is of the same mind and wishes to depart please let me know. If you feel I was in the wrong likewise now would be the best time to discuss the matter, should there be any lingering concerns.
It was never my intention to paint anyone as an idiot nor a moron, though perhaps my words were harsher than I'd intended. The line I used was "Too late Jocasta realizes she moved up and placed herself in mortal danger, as the zombies in Cell 1 rush the bars, eager to get at her." While I didn't specifically call it out the map did have a black band over the fixed bars, and a gray band over the cell doors. As no one asked at the time I regrettably assumed the map was understood.
That particular round in the fight Jocasta had moved to a position by the bars just before multiple zombies attacked from the cell, (due to initiative order and not any planning on my part), and unfortunately scored a critical hit. At that point Jocasta made the determination to have the character killed.
I didn't address the matter openly at the time as I'd hoped time would ease the situation, or that Jocasta would address the situation privately, if so inclined. Cedryk had addressed me privately to discuss his reasons for retiring from the campaign. Those reasons were his own and aren't mine to share. I regretted his decision as I do Jocasta's, but accept both as we each should do as we feel appropriate.
Do you wish to recruit a replacement Rogue character at this point? Do you want to go it without one, or pick up an NPC for the interim? Do you wish to discuss the above matter, my play style, or any other issues? This should be a collaborative effort after all, and hopefully a fun one. Otherwise what's the point?
Musami Forgeborn
I am enjoying the game. Musami isn't overly bright and I am relatively new to RPGs having been playing for less than 2 years. I have no issues recruiting another player of whatever class.
Braggi Wrongeye
I honestly don't think it was such a serious matter, but then again I am not Jocasta's player so I can only judge from my own point of view.
It mostly depends on you to recruit people focused towards a particular role - only you know which dangers we will face and whether a specific player is needed or we will be able, with your help, to bypass whatever hazards we might encounter. Also, it is usually up to the GM to decide with how many players he feels comfortable.
That said, if you still ask me, I'd say the more the merrier.
Re: your playstyle: I'm fine. I've played with some real jerks and I consider you not one of those, by far.
Filnefillan "Fil" Lotusbow
I'm okay both ways. I would very much like to see both a Rogue and a healer-type join our party. Meeting with the town leadership and/or the church of St. Cuthbert should provide us opportunities for those tie-ins.
Jocasta, it was good to have you, and good luck to you.
