Derrick would have gotten an Attack of Opportunity against one of the creatures that rushed him, also using it to trip.

Trip: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Derrick whips his naginata back and forth, sweeping the legs from under two of the creatures as they approach. A third closes with him, however, and he tosses the weapon away, draws his katana, and attacks it with a powerful slash before stepping toward the fallen foes.

If either prone enemy moves to stand, I get an Attack of Opportunity.

Okay I'll adjust the map, move one back, but now that you've dropped the naginata, you no longer have reach, correct?

Unfortunately, between the chaos if the arrows and the overall sounds if battle Issabelle doesn't hear Portia's commands and swoops in on the new airborne enemy. A flying enemy is right up Issabelle's comfort zone.

Hopefully it all makes sense :)

Derrick draws his katana, but his swing is high and the creature in front of him ducks down, avoiding the blow

Issabelle veers away from the target Portia indicated and attacks the shadow eagle. Issabelle’s bite is hard and squarely in the shadow creatures back, but it flies onward, toward a creature that is staggering from an arrow wound, and rakes the creature across the neck. The strange creature spits blood in the air as its hands fly to its neck and staggering it falls to the ground.

Unbolath takes careful aim and fires an arrow at another creature. The arrow strikes deep in the enemies side, and the impact from the enhanced arrow’s weight knocks the creature down dead just as Sithundan approaches and attacks only the air where it had been standing.

Thikka moves up to offer a healing touch to Valind, but the small cleric darts forward in a dash at the last minute before she can lay a hand on him.

When Valind has moved to a safe position, he channels the power of his faith in a powerful burst of raw negative energy.

They sure are good at murderin' things, stupid No-bolds are dyin really quick. thas' nice an all but if they are all dead i can't inter... Intergrate? err... I can't Inquisition em! Ritmush finishes his thought as he sights another No-bold Mah, this would be so much easier if.. "There were more of me." Ritmush finishes in a whisper looking to the brush on the hill. A Cheshire grin on his face as he chants a few words.

GM:
Move action reload and Standard to cast ghost sound. As the spell states that you can combine or split the noise to simulate other things I am assuming that 1 humans worth of noise =4 kobolds worth of noise. I get 8 humans worth of noise. So i figure that is plenty for my intent. I am centering the spell on Ritmush in case someone calls him out on the spell being fake so he can shoot said uppity person in the face with his crossbow.
though I am definitely getting silent image for my next L1 spell if this sort of bluff is something you are willing to roll with in the future.

Will save DC 16:
The sound of this creatures voice seems, off. Like it it wasn't there or something. As you focus on the wavering quality the voice distorts more until there is little doubt that you are hearing a falsehood. Likely an caster of some kind is behind it.

"Stupid mouth breathing noscales who are unable to even do a raid right." A voice resounds over the cliff, sounding like a gruff hafling with a lisp. Or perhaps a Koblod but no such creature is readily apparent on the cliff.
"I am Raid leader Loroh Lor, while you have been failing at raiding the caravan full of assorted tall folk and a tasty halfling and an excessively hairy one we have set up on the cliff above you."
The voice barks an order in draconic and all along the cliff from other well defended or difficult to see spots more voices join chattering curses in the same language. There are at least a dozen, likely many more, separate voices in the cacophony
"The rest of my warband is unable to speak this fumbling tongue but I will sum up for them.
Those of you who have dared to wear the scales of my race and those of you who raid with them can give up now. Tell me who you obtained the skins of my people from and I will let you leave.
What my raiders want to do is varied but the least painful is burying you to the neck next to a hill of meat eating ants."

The voice pauses once more as the raiders clamor again spitting curses. "Warriors guarding the caravan, I have no interest in shooting you today. I only wish the No-bolds and No-lls".

Bluff: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

there might be some confusion here. Portia, using sense motive, believes that the "voice" is telling the truth, and that whatever the voice is, it only intends to stop the raid, and means no harm to the caravan. She does not suspect it is a spell causing the voice (failed will save). On the other hand, Thikka sees the spell for what it is, but does not believed the message is honest.

yanno I was expecting the whole counter ambush ploy to fail but not so quickly. Did I write something that implied the kobold has designs on killing you? Because I tried to be fairly careful to word that agression toward the No-bolds. Eh, guess i will have to see if i can just ignore thikkas point and force them to give up before they realize she is actually correct.

There is a beat as the hill is quiet, followed by a semi audible sigh. Unless you are secretly wearing the skin of my kin I dont have any interest in fighting you today. You are entirely free to leave. I have no interest in your caravan, nor am I secretly helping your enemies. As I can only imagine you have a brain and realize the intelligence of a raiding party who blindly charges over a hill screaming and hollering with when they could have easily stayed on the cliff like my warband currently is and shot whatever happens to be in the canyon down there with no issue. with another bark the chattering kobolds go still.
So, humanoids who have chosen to raid wearing the bodies of my race as crude costumes. If you wish to believe the hairy halfling I can prove her wrong and kill more of you then they already have inflicted on your numbers or you can give up now and live.Drop your weapons and stop fighting. The problem is, GM. Thikka doesn't know the 'no bolds' are 'no bolds'. So all she had was a guy in the distance, who looked kobold, yelling down. She thinks he's part of the people attacking. That's why she said what she said. Honestly, if she hadn't seen through the spell, she would take him at his word. But having seen through the spell, she now thinks it's a trap to get the convoy to lower their guard. On the other hand, he has no reason to attack the convoy, as we're busy killing off the no-bolds. :) Note that Thikka was speaking to her own allies, not the no-bolds. Basically there's a 3-way confusion going on. At least part of that is because I thought this new kobold was with the other kobolds. Or nobolds, or wahtever htey are. I honestly didn't understand what was going on, so neither does Thikka. :)

"I ain't no halfling, you scaly ass. When I get finished killing these stupid idiots you sent down here to attack us, I'm gonna find you and whop you upside the head with me stick!"

What's the law on disturbing bodies? That's the minimum we can pin on them in a court of law. I assume if the actually killed the kobolds it is likely to be manslaughter or murder - unless we explicitly don't do anything about non-citizens killing other non-citizens or something.
Basically it seems like a legal quagmire only a lawyer could untangle, but fortunately...

As long as raiders continue to attack the caravan, Unbolath will unleash arrows at them, as that is his responsibility, keeping the caravan safe.

"I am guessing the humans and halflings posing as kobolds and gnolls are trying to stir up trouble and get blame pinned on the humanoids for the raid. A lot of danger and trouble to go through for that end however."

Derrick pauses and looks to the hillside for a moment, hearing the words and the roar of a crowd. Too many... but the life of a samurai is freely given when needed. Better to die in battle than run and hide in life. With that he slashes again at the enemy near him (the no-bold Orange at -E,0)

I am unsure what round we are on. Are we still resolving round 3? It seems some of us have declared Round 4 or Round 5 actions

Day 5, Gulley Ambush

Initiative Order:
Party goes first

Round 4…

Portia advances and suddenly there is a shout, in a broken speech pattern, from back among the rocks on the cliff face. The strange creature in front of Portia turns its head, and that is all Portia needs to bury her sword to the hilt in the monster’s chest.

Panic begins to spread among the strange attackers, as many of their number are dead or dying and a new enemy, it seems, has shown its hand from behind the attacking monster’s position.

Thikka shouts as she takes a few steps forward, and swaths an area in flames. She catches two of the attacking monsters in the fire. The creatures drop their weapons and leap to the ground rolling around in pain and agony.

Everywhere the strange monsters drop their weapons and flee away from the caravan toward the west.

Derrick catches one of the creatures as it turns in place, and easily cuts the small monster down.

With panic setting in among the Attackers, Situndan extends a stony arm and lands a killing blow to the side of another monster’s head.

Drokka lobs a missile of acid at one of the monsters as it also turns to flee. The creature falls to the sand and throws its hands up to its face, while the shadow eagle attacks and kills a small creature making a run for the western end of the canyon

The Following Monsters are upright, and fleeing, and will be 60 or 40 feet from their current positions, I will update the map tonight. Some of the monsters on the ground are alive.

I have my round 4 action posted above, I believe. I should be able to drop one of the fleeing given my rolls I suspect.

male

Yes that will drop one of the fleeing enemies, sorry I missed that
