Me too! I am gonna love trying to build her out with those rules but no more Abjuration wizard or Riftwarden.

I have survived our layoffs. I've been there since '94 in various positions, and there are a couple of dozen former co-workers still around that I have known for much of that time. Most of those were eligible for the retirement buyout and close to half of them took it. Two others were laid off.

In other news, my mom has been in the hospital for over a week and I think she's finally getting discharged today. She was running a fever for several days and her labs were way off in a couple of areas. What kept her in there after her fever broke was her white cell count is still really high, but they can't find a sign of infection anywhere. Best guess is she just had a crazy immune system reaction to her flu shot. So, no more flu shots for her. But, hey, she's turning 96 in December, so that's fine.

Mom made it through surgery for a broken hip. They put a titanium rod in her femur. She's still got a few days in the hospital, and then moves to rehab. She starts PT and OT today. The scariest part of this is over, as just going through the surgery was a huge risk, though she can still have post-op complications. Rehab is a big unknown.

I do have more time at the moment than I was expecting. Still don't know how long I'll be out here. A week at least? Maybe a little longer? I can still manage the game a bit but my laptop isn't geared for it as well as my desktop at home.

My second PF campaign was the one where I really dove into the lore, and played a multiclass wizard/evangelist of Shelyn. I really fell in love with Crystalhue as a holiday, and how much it feels like the spirit of Christmas.

I have been reviewing what comes next after you take the castle, and I don't have any qualms about labeling most of it as "filler". Dungeon crawls aren't so great in this format because combat takes forever, and even if I was keeping on top of things as much as I'd like it'd be months of drudgery. So I am planning to trim off the fat.

I wanted to let you all know that my younger sister was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes and the lungs.She turned 46 in November.

Some good news, I submitted my thesis to my director this morning. I also had an eye procedure this morning that lasered the scar tissue in the Right Eye and the results have been amazing. The other eye will have the same procedure in 2 weeks.

Sister seems to be doing well.

Hey y'all, my aunt passed away sunday. Thursday I'm flying to Florida for her funeral, won't be back until next sunday, and tomorrow I'll mostly be packing/getting things in order for the trip. Bot me as needed. Or find some distraction that Uriel needs to take care of for a few days.

I found out yesterday that my 13.8 yr old kitty uas several large timors in his GI tract. He is home now. He will be taken care of and loved until it is time.

I had to say good bye to his 17 yr old brother in July.

Sorry folks, I thought I would be able to do at least something on the game last week while visiting mom, but it didn't work out that way.

I am back home now and will get things moving again.
