Baldwin the Merciful's Razor Coast: Black Spot (Inactive)

Game Master baldwin the merciful

"The Black Spot" An adventure of extradimensional depravity for four to six 5th level PCs Explore the wreck of The Flying Fortune, a ship impaled on the exposed tip of an underwater mountain with a waterfall of gold coins spilling from her shattered hull. Unravel the mystery of her vanished crew—the bloodstains, the shredded decking. Discover a dank and gaping hole in the stone peak that pierces the Fortune. Is it a natural opening? Or a tunnel crafted by arcane engines? It leads down, that much is clear. Down inside a hollow, underwater mountain—all the way to the ocean floor.

One of Markus' flying kicks hit. He finally realizes that his attacks are not that effective. You should spend ki points to overcome DR.

Jerome your ray misses once again.

Only one of Jean's arrow's hit - he gets the sinking feeling in his stomach that it's probably going to be better to wade into melee - and the creature barely acknowledges the pesky tip.

RD 4: Engineer

The engineer bites at Dinetta viciously

bite: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27;damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
plus poison DC fort save 21

Poison (Ex) Bite—injury:
save Fort DC 21; frequency 1/round
for 6 rounds; effect 1d2 Strength damage and staggered;
cure 2 consecutive saves. The save DC is Constitution based.

Then his claws strike out at Marcus,

claw 2: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25;damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Marcus hits twice but his blows lack the umphf they should have. Thus, the damage is significantly less. With his last attack the monk swears he may have broken his hand. In my other games a natural 1 is potential critical flaw.

Smiling as Jerome moves in, and hoping that the mage avoids getting struck by the vicious attacks of the Engineer, Dinetta quickly takes advantage of the Engineer suddenly having to focus on multiple attackers.

Attack-rapier: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 1 + 2 - 2 + 1 = 19 <-- +1 Haste, +2 Flanking (from Gang Up). -2 TWF, +1 Prayer

Nice, keep it distracted.

The tiny librarian's dagger and rapier flash in and out, striking deeply at unguarded areas several times.
Hopefully the 2425 hits.
If the 2425 confirms, the next attack that hits(Revhi or Marcus) is an auto-confirm crit from Butterfly Sting.

Evil GM

The rapier and dagger hit (but not confirm), the dagger doesn't seem to do that much damage to the creature.

Neither the cold iron or mithral daggers are magical correct? Which one are you using by the way?

I feel really foolish. Just realized that I have a +1 rapier, and the mitral dagger, both of which have a +1 enhancement bonus (magic and mithral). My +9 is +4 (BAB), +4 (Dex), and +1 (Size), I was never adding the +1 Enhancement this whole campaign.

If I can Retcon(sort of), all my attacks and confirms should be +1, and the damage from the rapier should be +1. I will add it to the post as a note.

She is using the mithral dagger as it is masterwork by default.

With the recon you will hit with the haste and confirm and the creature will be dead.
