That can be a good or bad thing. Judging by the smiley, musta been a good thing.
Anywho, still waiting to see what Sath does, but if he/she doesn't stop casting immediately, Darius will try to disrupt the spell somehow, non-lethally of course.
As much as he doesn't want to be on a haunted ship, he REALLY doesn't wanna be on a sinking, pissed off haunted ship.

Embrianna |

While Bri is rather confused by Dirk, she is more worried about getting the f%%! off a haunted ship. She may also want to leave Dondrel on it. He may be cursed too.

Yeah...I was summoned by my wife. :-)
Summon Husband IV
School conjuration (relationships); Level wife 4
Casting Time 1 round
Components V (Medium Range), V/F(Cell Phone, Unlimited Range)
Range Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./2 levels), Unlimited w/ F
Effect One summoned husband
Duration Concentration until dismissed
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no
This spell summons your husband (if they can reach your location). It appears where you designate and acts immediately, on your turn. It attacks your opponents to the best of its ability. If you can communicate with your husband, you can direct it not to attack, to attack particular enemies, or to perform other actions. A husband has a carrying capacity of its strength score (Table: Carrying Capacity) unless he is carrying in all the groceries in one trip, in which the husband's strength score is quadrupled. If directed to perform specific tasks for you, the caster must succeed a wife level check of DC 10 +2 for every hour the tasks will take. Particularly dangerous actions such as cleaning out the gutters or changing a diaper will have higher DCs at the GM's discretion.

I'll be on and off for the next several hours. Astrianna will loot the chart room, and hand Henk/Adriel a crowbar to pry open the lockers. Her haversack can hold 10 more pounds of stuff, she will ditch the block and tackle (5 pounds) to make more room if need be.

Astrianna Sparacello |

Out for the rest of the night. Astrianna will start her bardic performance and start hacking at the zombie if she can get in range.

What I really don't get about recruitment threads is how people try to shoehorn their concept into a game instead of trying to make a concept that fits the game. I also hate people who whine when a GM chooses not to allow certain classes or whatever.

???
So confused...

Embrianna |

My husband is often confused by me.
We are in another recruit thread together and complaining about it. There is a goblin submission that talks like JarJar and I want to kill it with fire. From orbit. Just to be sure it is dead.

I steer away from those applicants, they tend to be headaches and they draw valuable time away from the game. The amount of work it takes to keep a game running is immense especially when compared to what the players need to put into the game. No offense intended to the players, it's just factual. I'll step off the soapbox.

Astrianna Sparacello |

What do you mean my half-construct gunslinger with a 6' inch diameter cannon arm won't work in an underwater campaign? Half-constructs don't need to breathe!
You're not allowing gunslingers?! Wtf they're my favorite class how could you not allow them?

You must destroy the entire planet. Its elimination cannot be left to chance.

After gming a game for a group of friends for 6 months, I understand this quite well now. It's sad because they were super into it at the beginning so I put a lot of work into it, but as time went by they got distracted by other things and simply stopped showing up even though I kept putting a ton of work into it.

I was cruising around the Pathfinder wiki and found this article, which makes me the proudest Taldan there ever was. Royal Proclamation of the Draconic Banking
Such genius.

David "Dirk" Hawkins |

Bronze Dragons are alright, but I prefer Silver Dragons I think. I like the fact that they can commingle with humans. I’ve always enjoyed those stories, at least, for a long time; I read about them in the old Dragonlance Chronicles – here are some brief notes on one of them: Silvara.
I also agree with you guys that Play by Post boards do have things that can be frustrating.
For example, I really hate initiative :)

Darius Rotarion |

You wanna see a brutal case of that very thing, Bri?
Read over my recruitment thread for my RotR game I am running. I outright kicked one guy out of it.

Astrianna Sparacello |

I looked through your recruitment thread Darius- that was pretty ridiculous, but you handled it very professionally.
I've been wanting to play RotRL for a while. I have the Anniversary book and have read the first part because I was going to GM it, but it fell apart. One day I'll GM, one day... perhaps on these very boards. Then I too can deal with petty arguments in my recruitment thread.
I'm super happy with my two campaigns I have though. I don't think I could handle another one, I think too much and type too big of posts.

David "Dirk" Hawkins |

Well, I'm off to bed.
I don't know if Darius managed to finish the skeleton before I got to attack - if he did, I'd probably do something completely different. But that will depends on what the GM says in the morning.

Darius Rotarion |

Astrianna - We are about to finish up the first portion actually. I had had another character playing, but they dropped out. Should you ever take a notion to join another game, shoot me a message and I'll see about working you in.

baldwin the merciful |

It was a difficult time logging on today.
Darius I've asked one player in my COT and one in my RA to leave in the past. To much bickering and complaining about everything it just wasn't worth it. To much rules lawyering and arguing ever action. Basically sucked the fun out of it for me and the other players. That is why I put that information in my House rules (5 and 6), it's also why I have that link about using evil spells/items by neutral and good players. I spent quite a bit of time having to explain why I didn't permit something.
By the way both were good posters but our gaming styles did not mesh.

Embrianna |

Not only you Baldwin, I been trying all morning to log in here and now is the first time I've been able to.
Darius, looked over that thread and will second that that was rather ridiculous.
And complaints have apparently ended that drow gladiator game I was in. The GM was upset enough that we haven't heard anything since Thursday from him.
So now I'm getting into a Drow Throne of Night game to take the place of that one.

Oooh. Super tempting, thank you! I'll have to think about it and look at the characters currently playing to see if anything jumps out at me.
I've had an idea for an elf fighter (archer) based off of one of my other characters...

Darius Rotarion |

We actually have an archery focused Warpriest.
Party is:
Evocation Wizard human
Sword and board fighter human
Psycho blacksmith dwarf
Archaeologist/swashbuckler Bard Halfling
Warpriest Archer Aasimar
Monk/Cleric Dhampir
Personalities all over the place.

Oh my God!
So I kind of read over the last few post on the Recruitment thread the other night, it looked like you were dropping someone because they argued about the dice system (I thought).
But after seeing all the other posts I decided to go back and read it from the beginning.
So I'm reading along from the beginning and I start reading some posts from this one dude who won't put his profile on the board.... and the rest of the stuff he wrote...
Now I understand what you meant :)
For what's it worth, I think you handled it very well.

That is quite the varied party! A rogue would fit in well with that group. Why must you tempt me Darius... I'll continue to think about it tonight and look over your game.
If I do make a character I hope I get that silly luck most of your applicants had with their 4d6 rolls (I liked the guy that got a 4, too)
