I never got back on last night to buy a scroll of neutralize poison if she had any of the 3rd level ones for 375. That was the only kind I could afford at the time.

Lol! Also disclaimer that I'm just roleplaying, I promise I'm actually a nice person.
Amusingly my other character I play is quite meek by comparison, and has hand-wringing and worrying down to an art form. It's kind of hard to switch between the two.
Astrianna Sparacello
I'm glad Embri is a team player! I'm hoping Astrianna's story involves her hot-headedness turning into an acceptance and appreciation for teamwork and knowing your roles.
Also, I should get some scrolls of mage armor, now that I think about it.
Sath Saltblood
Wow, being catty can be fun! :)
Sath is a team player as well, she simply needs to believe she can trust and rely on her team.

Hmm, next level I could probably take the scribe scroll feat and make some up. Could also do some clw and comp lang scrolls, never know when those come in handy.
Will there be much time for crafting of things Baldwin?

LOL, yes!

I have two scrolls of comprehend languages currently. Here is my list of scrolls-
Scroll box #1 (8/10) 5gp 2#
- Scrolls: Read magic x4 (50gp), open/close (12.5gp), expeditious retreat (25gp), purify food/drinkx2 (25gp)
Scroll box #2 (6/10) 5gp 2#
- Scrolls: Ant Haul (arcane) x2 (50gp), Comprehend Languages x2 (50gp), Endure Elements (arcane) x2 (50gp)
Astrianna doesn't have the Read Magic cantrip, which may or may not be a poor choice on my part. It's either Read Magic or Mage Hand, and I kind of like Mage Hand.
Adriel Mistleaf
Ha. Ha.
Incidently, Adriel DOES in fact have a reason for putting up his facade, in his back story if anyone cares to read.
Meantime, his immediate goal is to charm his way into the heart and or beds of the women in the party. Salt just got added to the list.
Trying to have him be that kind of guy that mothers warn their daughters about. But they somehow end up in bed with him anyway.
Note: Not that I am like that. Was a nerd in a jocks body in school. Married my first serious girlfriend (love at first sight) after proposing 3 months into the relationship and 13 years later, have 3 beautiful kids and still follow my gorgeous wife around like a puppy.

Also, I should get some scrolls of mage armor, now that I think about it.
FYI:
Mage Armor does not stack with other armor bonuses when wearing a suit of armor.
Here's the spell description.
"An invisible but tangible field of force surrounds the subject of a mage armor spell, providing a +4 armor bonus to AC.
Unlike mundane armor, mage armor entails no armor check penalty, arcane spell failure chance, or speed reduction. Since mage armor is made of force, incorporeal creatures can't bypass it the way they do normal armor."
But you need to read armor bonus rules which state:
"Armor/Shield Bonus: Each type of armor grants an armor bonus to AC, while shields grant a shield bonus to AC. The armor bonus from a suit of armor doesn't stack with other effects or items that grant an armor bonus. Similarly, the shield bonus from a shield doesn't stack with other effects that grant a shield bonus."
Seems like it would have been pretty easy to add a line to the spell description "doesn't stack". I've never like how WoWC or pathfinder outlined stacking bonuses.
Astrianna Sparacello
THAT'S where that line is! Thank you I was looking for that, couldn't find it, and thought I made it up that mage armor doesn't stack with normal armor bonuses. I don't know why they didn't add that to the spell description either.
Nevermind on the scrolls of mage armor. Well, for me.

That came up in one of my other games once. A simple line in the spell description seems appropriate.

True, but it's 1 minute per level. I'll just get myself a darkwood buckler when we get to the Razor. (Hopefully) It's kind of embarrassing I forgot to buy one.
Sath Saltblood
Glad you're ok, don't worry about the delay- it's always important to make sure you hide the bodies well... whut? Lol.
Astrianna Sparacello
Seriously?! Sorry to hear that- always a pain when someone runs into you. At least it's easy to show it was there fault.
You all right? I was in an accident a year ago, thought I was fine but it wasn't until two days later I realized my neck was messed up, so make sure everything works properly.

Not to change the subject, but what all are a Combat Mate's duties while on shift? Just so I know what to be typing up for my day to day activities when it comes time?
I assume training and drilling the men, as well as organizing the defense of the ship as well as any attacks we initiate. But as that cannot go on for an entire day, wanted to know what the rest of my duties were.
Darius Rotarion
Also, if anyone's search-fu is greater than mine, I cannot find a picture that really speaks to me in regards to Darius. The one I have is close, but too cartoony for my taste. Not that that is a bad thing, I would just like to find something a tad bit more realistic.

Razor has slightly different officer positions then pathfinders S&S. Officers have responsibilities of commanding 5 to 20 men at time. Basically a ship Mate (I'm calling it a Combat Mate) lead their crew in completing various tasks on ship. (the crew size depends on the ship size This is a small ship currently filling 18 of 20 crew spots, plus officers 6 of 7 positions filled). So generally you're going to be assigned to one of the desks and the crew on that deck - the deck will vary.
When battle comes your job will be defend or lead an away crew (boarding party)
There are several different types of Mates but for this sized ship that not really an issue.

It’s harder to show then you’d think in this case, sadly. The officer called it a “non-reportable crash” because her story was so different then mine (she was not being honest). He said he’d “look into it” but we won’t hear back from him until tomorrow.
My neck is a little tender, but I wasn’t hit that hard. Luckily my car is only scratched badly, although her own bumper got peeled back where she hit me.
Thanks for the support, though. I appreciate it.

Going to bed, we can spoiler the rest tomorrow, no reason to hold up the game for Astrianna's pranks.
David "Dirk" Hawkins
sorry for the delay on response guys, I had to take care of something.
I've got a response for Astrianna that's almost ready, but I think I'll have to toss it up tomorrow.
Also, all things considered, I think I'll have to put it in a spoiler.
For now I need to go to sleep, though.
See you tomorrow.

I'm very busy today at work, but I've put up some history about RC for you all. The next three days go by uneventfully and you can use my silence during day to RP some. You can incorporate bits of the history that you've picked up if you want.
I will need to know the following information:
While on board doing your duties how is your character dressed, what armor (if any) and gear do you have on your person. As an FYI, it's not real common to be fully armored while on board, generally there is time to don gear when a ship or potential threat is on the horizon. Now wearing gear when on night watch is understandable, if you choose.
While bunking out what do you generally wear or have within reach. The crew each have a footlocker to stow stuff. You do see that everyone does put their gear up and they typically keep a knife, dagger, and/or handaxe nearby. Other than the Captain nobody wears a sword, large axe, or hammer during the day.
Darius Rotarion
Well, I'm awake and here, waiting to see how things played out the previous night with Astrianna, as it could affect his mood the next day.
;)
Darius Rotarion
Q: While on board doing your duties how is your character dressed, what armor (if any) and gear do you have on your person.
A: Darius, during his day shifts, would wear his regular clothes. If it was hot out and clear weather, he'd probably go shirtless to keep cool. His armor, gauntlet, sword, bandolier, bow, and arrows he would keep stowed in his quarters. As far as his Haversack and it's contents, that depends. If their room and/or footlockers have keys and locks, Darius would store it in there. If not, he would keep it on his person, as it has the bulk of his valuables. While nobody on board has given him cause to be suspicious of thievery, his time on board the Moon Reaver taught him to not trust anyone until proven otherwise.
On night shift, he'd wear his full gear list, just in case something slipped up on them in the dark.
Q: While bunking out what do you generally wear or have within reach.
A: While sleeping, Darius definitely wears only his pants. Beside his bed, he keeps his glaive and shortsword. The rest of his gear, at that time, is stored either in or near his footlocker, wherever it fits the best.
baldwin the merciful
It is summer months so it is hot outside during the daytime (83-90 degrees). It's a bit cooler during the evening but not much (70 - 77 degrees).
Standard locks are available on the ship for the price listed in the CRB.
You would have learned there have been no known thievery in over a year. When it did happen it was dealt with harshly and to the crews satisfaction.
Darius Rotarion
Any better locks available as well, or just standard? Regardless, I'd be willing to buy a lock and putting it on our door, if it comes with two copies of the key.

While on board doing your duties how is your character dressed, what armor (if any) and gear do you have on your person.
While on ship, Bri usually forgoes wearing her boots, preferring to feel the warm wood of the deck under her bare feet. Her pants are cut off at mid calf (a fact usually hidden by her high boots when she wears them). She wears a thin, low-cut white blouse under her corset. On a sunny day, she will wear her hat, but if up in the rigging or if it is windy, she will forgo her hat so it doesn't get blown off and lost at sea.
For gear, she typically has at least her dagger on her. She has no armor to worry about.

You do see that everyone does put their gear up and they typically keep a knife, dagger, and/or handaxe nearby. Other than the Captain nobody wears a sword, large axe, or hammer during the day.
Bri will usually sleep in just a white shirt that hits her at mid-thigh. She is not overly modest you know.

Astrianna does not wear her armor on duty, typically wearing a white blouse, black pants, her Hat of Disguise, and a pair of boots. She keeps a pair of light finger tipless gloves on her belt in case she has to actually do any work. When it's raining, she wears her cloak.
She does not go armed on the ship, keeping her sword and bow in her haversack to prevent corrosion from the sea air. She keeps her haversack, armor, and the rest of her explorer's outfit at her bunk/in the locker.
During night shift, she would have her armor on, and haversack with her.
While bunking out what do you generally wear or have within reach.
Astrianna wears what she typically wears during the day, minus boots. She just sleeps in her clothes. She sleeps with a sheathed dagger within arm's reach, like most of the sailors.

Knew I was losing a VIP bunk. Congratulations, Adriel. Lol
Sath Saltblood
Sath generally wears her normal explorer's outfit during the day with her Darkleaf Lamellar armor worn during watch shifts or when she might be expecting trouble. She does not normally wear her scimitar on deck but does keep it and her darkwood spear within her enchanted haversack, which is always within reach when she is aboard the ship. She does however keep her Acid and Alkali flasks handy, hung as they are from her bandolier.
When swimming she wears her diving suit (sculpted to give the appearance of a slight but athletic male frame).
At night she keeps her scimitar sheathed and hanging from the bunk right next to her head/hand for a quick and easy draw. She sleeps in a pair of light pajamas- top and pants.
Adriel Mistleaf
Adriel does wear his gear during the daytime.
A leather lamellar is very light and comfortable, he will have his sword on his belt and boot daggers in along with his wrist sheath that holds his wand of shield.
But he doesn't wear either of his cesti or carry his bow, pick or hammer.
At night he will sleep in his leggings and no shirt. A dagger within easy reach.

To expedite this little duel, might I suggest something?
Y'all could roll up your initiatives and your various non-lethal attack rolls in one post until someone scores three hits. Damage is irrelevant really. Person that scores the three hits first wins.
That way it's buttoned up in one neat little post each.
Just my suggestion.
Edit: though, that eliminates the ability to react tactically. Nothing to see here...move along!
Astrianna Sparacello
Ah but how will Adriel get his smack talk in? :p Your suggestion is great for speeding things up but I wanted to talk with him during the duel as well.
I'm going to spoiler our fight so it doesn't take up a massive amount of space.
