DC 14 reflex for half damage.

He then steps back into the flames behind him just as one of Lucrezia's arrows hits him.

I see what you did you identified the spell with the previous spellcraft check. Your spell does succeed! and the bard resumes his form falling to the ground prone.

You can also use a targeted dispel to specifically end one spell affecting the target or one spell affecting an area (such as a wall of fire ). You must name the specific spell effect to be targeted in this way. If your caster level check is equal to or higher than the DC of that spell, it ends. No other spells or effects on the target are dispelled if your check is not high enough to end the targeted effect.

That is for one object or creature not one specifically named spell. That is why I spellcrafted and gave a perception check.

i forgot to take the -4 for bing prone off his AC. the second one did hit for 22 HP.

No. Cause HIS ac dropped by -4. I don't know his AC value so if I get a foe with a penalty, I remind Baldwin if I think I am in the ball park.

dirge of doom:

Dirge of Doom (Su): A bard of 8th level or higher can use his performance to foster a sense of growing dread in his enemies, causing them to take become shaken. To be affected, an enemy must be within 30 feet and able to see and hear the bard's performance. The effect persists for as long as the enemy is within 30 feet and the bard continues the performance. The performance cannot cause a creature to become frightened or panicked, even if the targets are already shaken from another effect. Dirge of doom is a mind-affecting fear effect, and it relies on audible and visual components.

Since only Daniel can currently see and hear him.

He then mixes in his standard action casting defensively, a the funny tale of the dirge of doom for Daniel's benefit. DC 16 Will save

Cast Def: 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 4 = 20

He manages to cast the spell defensively.

Doesn’t work Baldwin. Dirge of Doom is a MIND AFFECTING FEAR AFFECT. Daniel has: Aura of Courage (Su)
At 3rd level, a paladin is immune to fear (magical or otherwise). Each ally within 10 feet of her gains a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against fear effects. This ability functions only while the paladin is conscious, not if she is unconscious or dead

Daniel looks at the Bard, surely the man had heard of the Heavenly Courage of Paladins before?

He doesn't necessarily know that Daniel. Remember Pally aren't exactly roaming the streets of Westcrown. He's getting desperate as he blown through most his spells between all the combat. He was the one who fell in pit and had to use spells early.

For Daniel to have attacked the bard he needed to be behind the bar at -F, 10. I guess the bard had a chance of reforming and falling on the Daniel. Oh, well.

Gerard the bard's prone and behind the bar, so your not exactly sure where he is. Your vision is blocked by the bar. You get the sense from the Paladin's attack he is in the -E10-11 area
