Also, I dunno if hitting up florists would do any good. They could be grown in a private garden and anyone in the flower business would no doubt have a number of large armored people visiting if they were passing them out to rebels.

eh.. Unhappy with Shinon's actions and how we all let him go. I SHOULD have gone after him to at least try to talk him out of it but waffled far too much on wether or not hat would be in character.

So. A lesson to all of us to stop things like this from happening. I am surprised that Duncan at least didn't stand up at least to talk him out of it and I suppose it is not the Dm's responsibility to use the NPCs to do that.

Edit. IMO John would also have a good reason for talking Kenji out of it since he grew up in Westcrown and has at least heard a lot about the creatures and might have even seen a number of the corpses.

And Andrea of course has seen many in the morgue and might have lost a number of bedmates that have worked the streets.(Which of course was what I was going to discuss with Tracy so double shame on me.)

That was fun. Honestly I too am surprised no one went after me also. I knew it was stupid but it is what Kenji would have done. These things are more dangerous than he ever realized. Truth betold, Kenji for a bit, wondered if they event existed at all or if it was a hoax. Experiment was a success. I will devoulge everything Kenji presumes about these beasts. Most of it is speculation. I still don't know what they are but I, and Kenji, have our hunches.

Kenji will probably do stuff like this a lot too. He's the kind of person who is wary of something if he sees the danger. If he hasn't seen the danger and hears of it, he will be cautious about his recklessness.

I rolled a 1d1 rather than a 1d20 for the dice rolls in the first attack, otherwise Kenji may have died. I rolled very well with that creature. I'm not a GM that seeks to kill the PCs so I took it easy in the chase. Although wondering off on your own is one path to death.

I am aware of that and to be honest, I kind of wish you hadn't taken it easy. If you had rerolled those first few attacks I would not have turned to fight the thing.

I know how pathfinder is suppose to work and I know that lone adventurers have a HIGH almost garenteed likelyhood of dying. But this is what my character would have done. I take myself out of game mode and put myself in a character's shoes.

This is how I intend to play. Kenji will now take heed next time he even thinks of heading off into the night on his own.

I do stuff knowing full well what the consequences may be. I am playing my character. If it gets him killed then I accept that.

The offduty dottari guards were planning to hunt the goblin King on Fireday which is several days away.

So we can go sewer diving and let Kenji recover as well.

I am sorry if I came off as ungrateful or have offended you Baldwin. I just don't want to feel like I cheated. Thank you for allowing me to survive that. I am a bit surprised that no one scolded Kenji after what he did. Especially Janiven but hey, probably means what I did wasn't so foolish and more useful than I realized. That being said, he may do something like that again.

Kenji no offense taken, and play the charcter how you envision him.

As far as being scolded there is a time and a place for everything. You needed healing first, a talk to second. Arael did suggest that you had luck on your side. The PCs have yet to really say much to you since you retired to your room quickly. As the GM, I don't really want the NPC's to dominant the interactions.

Hmm. I thought you were doing that just for me. I am one thing but I think the rest of the party still wants you to pull punches. So since its your game, I will let you decide how to handle things. I thought you were actively trying to keep me alive and thus I felt kind of like I was cheating.

Well I am ok with no punch pulling. Fudging a bit when a roll would make everything explode/come to a screeching halt is ok depending on the situation.

Go For the Throat is a ridiculously stupid card. Why did they think Terror needed the upgrade? Black isn't supposed to be good at killing its own. Oh well, at least a creature slayed by Go For the Throat can be regenerated.

Also, it can satisfy certain things with both characters. Andrea is more 'Sex, drugs, Rock n' Roll' rather than undeadhood and Fiosa angles towards Knowledge.

Also possible insight into workings of the divine? How mortals can wobble all over the place and perhaps even be traded/sacrificed by deities.

Thanks for recapping. I'm basically waiting on Duncan to reply to Shinon's post. Once everyone is at the temple, or you locate Kenji if you are bringing him along, we reunite the group and the group can pick what they want to do.

1. Sewer dive for Henk and the Red Knives, searching for answers to the missing nobles.
2. Stake out for Nightbeast
3. Pursue the the goblin King (but it is still a few days away from meeitng up with John's dotarri contact.)

FYI, it's my gaming night tonight so I won't be on till after 10:30 pm.

I vote for 1. 2 is still IMO way above our weight class.
