This is Council of Thieves AP. Westcrown, City of Twilight, once was the center of Aroden's faith, but now it symbolizes despair. By day, the city remains a vibrant center of trade; but, by night only those with a death wish venture out.

I (NeoSeraphi) personally find Kenji's character to be upfront, honest, and all around likable. Shinon, on the other hand, has a really really hard time trusting others.

Janiven gets a pass because she has shown Shinon that she really cares about the city the same way he does (also he has a crush on her, and that's interfering with his constant paranoia).

Andrea gets a pass because she's touched Shinon multiple times already (against his will) and has not used these touches to harm him once yet. Shinon begrudgingly reasons that if she wanted to kill him, she had plenty of opportunity, especially when they were alone together on the trip back.

Kenji can probably earn Shinon's trust as well, he'll just have to be patient and keep being Kenji.

Shinon does indeed have a thing for Janiven, though from what we've seen so far, I believe it is one-sided.

Shinon - regarding your noble friend Traine. I'm going to have him as minor noble that is beholden to Rosala family. Actually his family is tied to the Atenaar family lines. He is not related to the Atenaar family but his family is tied/beholden to Atenaar family. Sort of three or four steps removed from the beholden house. In otherwords, Traine knows of Rosala family but the Rosala's may not know Traine directly. Nor does he have any direct access to the Rosala family. From a protocol viewpoint Traine's access is to Atenaar family and even that is tenuous at times.

From a Nobility tree stand point you have Rosala on top. Branching out with two direct beholden families Ulavauno and Atenaar. Then the Ulavauno and Atenaar have branches. Traine's family is three or four steps removed from the Atenaar family branch.

Actually, that's not true. A few pages back, I tried to start a conversation with Larko...I think you missed the post though. Either way, Shinon has attempted, at least once, to talk with Larko and Larko has not responded. I will search out the post now.

Well I COULD go the 'Seduce and break her in mind and body so she pledges herself to the Pallid Princess' route but that would fall into the 'Give the Hellknights the Plague' catagory that Baldwin reminded us of.

Actually, I think forcibly converting someone to your faith because you believe he or she is on the wrong path is more Lawful Neutral than Evil.

Andrea- its in the Pathfinders chronicles: Gods and Magic. Its a small nuances between both Gods of Death. It concerns the creation of undead.

"If the other deities would just leave her alone to feed her
needs, Urgathoa would have no enemies, but Pharasma and
Sarenrae pursue her and her kind wherever they are found,
so she reciprocates this attention." Gods and Magic page 40. It's ok that you don't have the book.

While Pharasma positon is: "She opposes undeath as a desecration of the memory of the flesh and a corruption of a soul’s path on its journey to her judgment." Gods of Magic page 30.

It should make for a nice little challnge for Andrea.

Well I have a few ideas for RP that can come out of this. Andrea is planning on doing some self-flagellation back home as penance for getting so interested in Fiosa. Things to consider.

Kenji's not much of a people person. He respects his fellows but isn't one for conversation. The admiration of Mathelen caught him a bit off guard and he is willing to train her but his romantic attention is on Janiven and this will not likely change as long as she responds well to his attempts. There may as well be no other options at this point. Kind of shallow think but Kenji wasn't really designed to be a cassanova.

If Janiven should perish or simply turn down Kenji, I believe he would stay single the rest of the game and be fine with that.

Noooo! Janiven can't die! She's way too awesome. I like her character, and Baldwin roleplays her really well. If she dies, I think we should try and get her rezzed. What do you guys think?

I am torn on that one. I do like her character but death kind of makes an interesting plot device.

I vote for a no kill. Theres enough plot without her dying. Would love the opportunity to rescue her though =)

I like Janiven, I don't generally think of killing any PC or NPC, but deaths do occur. I generally just like to keep it open-ended and provide numerous options out there. Two or three folks can be interested in one NPC.

Rescue ...who knows there may be a opportunity. We just did a rescue, so some other distressed situation.

I only mentioned the other female NPC's to remind folks there are lots of other options out there and folks to interact with. Plus, you are not limtied to those folks. Just creating layers of intrigue.

I don't even know if were actually following the main adventure path. Course...I know nothing about this particular campaign, thats kind of why I made Kenji, I was just too lazy to read the players guide at the time. Thanks for letting me in.

Funny...there is the main adventure path but the side adventures are a blast. It gives the characters time to develop rather than hop from on event to the next one. That is what I like about the Kingmaker AP, it is so open ended, and CoT is ripe for side adventures.

I think the only open conversation is John's with the dottari guards. This should leaving everyone to basically meet back a the safehouse to talk to Arael and Janiven the next evening. To share information and plan a course of action.

The pace is still fine? It slowed down a touch this past week with work, learning maptools and being under the weather, but it still seems to be hitting a steady clip.

That sounds like a good plan, assuming that Andrea can still walk tomorrow. After the dreams she's going to have tonight I doubt this is the last time she's going to flail herself...

Pace is great! I wish we had someone going arcane trickster though. Surprise Spells just looks hilarious. "Is that a mete-AH! That swarm of meteors caught me COMPLETELY off-guard!"

interesting prayer ceramony. I like when the clerics really play out their deity, rahter than I wake up and get my spells. I had player in my Kingmaker table top who was a Torag disciple and he prayed at morning's first light with his anvil and hammer, load of laughter. The party's human spellcaster had to negotiate an additonal hour of sleep from him.

Thanks. I'm thinking of another letter to her mother talking about how she doesn't know if everything will work out, how the instructor wouldn't approve either, but that she remembers her lessons and will use that special gift whenever she feels weak.

Edit ^^ Well that was also her doing a little self-punishment for getting close to a priest of an opposing faith.(In Andrea's mind, it was appropriate. Since she would never assume/presume that Urgathoa would ever be ok with that. better sore than sorry.) Normal praying is sans whipping. AFAIK.
