The pool continues to bubble and froth, but there are no obvious combatants in sight.
We are still on intitiative. Since we forgot then in the excitement, Illes will carry on singing and Elisile will ready an action to shoot anything emerging from the pool.
Once more for convenience:
Initiative chart

Elisile 14
Illes 13
Hudak 11
Dravite 10+

The pool continues to bubble and froth, but there are no obvious combatants in sight.
We are still on intitiative. Since we forgot then in the excitement, Illes will carry on singing and Elisile will ready an action to shoot anything emerging from the pool.
Indeed - after casting magic weapon on her bow last round, Elisile moves to F8 and readies an action to shoot anything emerging from the pool.

Alwyn Agnarrson |

"Yuck!" Alwyn wipes eldritch orange liquid off his hair and beard. "Pull the net out and pound the demon into dust. All the magic tricks in the world cannot hide you if you're trapped like a trout in a net! Now, where is my sword..."
On my turn, I retrieve my greatsword and return to the pool's edge.

Elisile Starbrow |

The liquid in the pool was described as orange with a foggy vapour rising from it … is it transparent? Can we see where the sin-spawn are coming from? Can we see a quasit-shaped air pocket in the liquid?
“Have a care Larken of Varisia,” calls Elisile softly, as she notes Larken peering into the pool. “I do not think any of us want to fall into that liquid.”

Elisile Starbrow |

I'm assuming that Larken backs off as described as his alternative action.
Something small explodes from the foam and hurtles at Alwyn's face, screaming incoherent imprecations.
AoO for Alwyn, but his target is still invisible.
Does Elisile get a chance to shoot at it with her readied action?

Elisile Starbrow |

Yes.
As the pool erupts in a spray of orange foam, Elisile instinctively looses her readied arrow - which completely misses whatever is emerging from the pool, and clatters against the far wall of the chamber.
Never mind, rolled a 4.

Alwyn Agnarrson |

"What the..." As something comes screaming towards him, Alwyn instinctively raises his hands and tries to seize it.
A consequence of too many youthful games of catch-the-thrown-goat, no doubt. I drop the sword (again) and grapple my assailant. Attack roll 14+3= touch AC 17. Miss roll 64%=hit. It gets an attack of opportunity unless you rule that it can't 'cause it's charging or something like that. Grapple check 12+3=15. Let the wrestling begin!

Aubrey the Demented/Malformed |

It gets an attack of oppotunity, but because it is Tiny it needs to enter your space before it can attack. Therefore, you get an attack of opportunity first, which you have had.
Alwyn instinctively grabs at his invisible assailant, which proves to be about the size of a house cat, tough rough and scaly. It scrabbles ineffectually at him, and as its invisibility drains away it resolves into a small, winged imp-like creature with a warty hide. Its tiny face is twisted in a terrible rage, and it has the most fearsome bad breath Alwyn has ever experienced. It's shrieks are virtually unintelligible.
If you speak Thassilonian:
It failed to hit with its AoO. You win the grapple check, and can hold it fast.

Vethran Tallomane |

As the creature rises from the foam, Vethran's chilling ray slices through the air in it's general direction.
Attack roll: 8 + 3 = 11. I highly doubt that it hits. If, by some miracle, it does: d% = 26. It misses anyway. :D
Also, the Thassilonian spoiler is awesome.

Alwyn Agnarrson |

"Now what could this be? Gah! I liked you better when you were invisible!" Alwyn fastens his hold on the hideous little imp. "Hey, everybody! Blades, heads, all that... before it escapes again!"
Grapple check 14+3=17. It's not going anywhere, if I get my way. I'll maintain my hold until the heavy hitters manage to snuff the ugly bugger.

It is Elisile's go. Remember, shooting or hitting into and existing grapple has a 50% chance of hitting the wrong grappler. Enjoy!
I believe that only applies to shooting into a grapple.
SRD linkage. In the second table:Armor class modifiers, under "Grappling(but attacker is not)" it lists the melee modifier as +01, with the 1 indicating that the defender loses any dex bonus to AC, but the ranged modifier is +01,3 with the 1 indicating that the defender loses any dex bonus to AC and the 3 indicating that the attacker should roll randomly to see which grappling combatant you strike, with that person losing dex bonus to ac.
Unless you house rule it differently from RAW.

Man, you ruin all my fun. But I think Alwyn will be relieved to read it.
I have a horribly overpowered grappler in the game I run who grapples all the time (a croco-druid/monk with his 35+ grapple modifier at 9th level!) and have been forced to understand the nuances of the rules because of it. Sorry.

Elisile Starbrow |

Elisile’s eyes narrow as the little creature that Alwyn managed to grab becomes visible. However, she is not sure how she will be able to help the priest, and also notes that Vethran appears to be listening intently to the creature’s shrieks, so decides not to act hastily.
She nocks another arrow and watches the surface of the pool intently, alert for any further sin spawn emerging from it.
Readies another action to shoot anything else coming out of the pool.

Illes Elandru |

Illes continues to sing songs of past glory while Alwyn wrestles with the tiny demon. Better him than me! I wonder if that little fiend has poison skin or acid for blood? Darting behind Larken, he takes up a position at the pool's edge ready to stab anything else making a surprise appearance.
MA: 15' to F2
I'll maintain the song. There isn't anything I can effectively attack and this is my strongest Inspire Courage of the day so we might as well keep it going for a while
+2 ATT/DAM, +2 vs charm/fear (morale)
btw- With Lo'j's auras we are getting +5' move currently rather than +3 flanking, right? We don't get both at the same time if I got the idea.

Elisile Starbrow |

Elisile keeps her eyes trained on the pool for a few moments more, before slowly lowering her bow.
“It would appear so,” she says, in reply to Alwyn. “A small winged imp with the power of invisibility. Of course, there may be more than one of the creatures in this place, so we should not let our guards down. We should be sure that it is indeed dead, and see if it has any possessions of interest.”
She walks over to examine the dead imp. Search: 16+ 9 = 25
Larken should probably search the stairs and doors for traps before we proceed.

Illes Elandru |

Illes sheathes his rapier and snuffs his torch in the tainted fountain while still singing quietly. He then continues the song with his flute softly while the others deliberate, and nods impatiently at the door on the balcony.
I'll maintain the song into the next room if we get on it and move, but if we hang out here long enough to make it seem silly I'm going to drop it. I have several more uses of music, but they will only be +1 after this one.

The quasit carries a tiny dagger, a small tiara is perced on its head, and it wears a small silk gown (now befouled with ichor and ripped by Hudak's blow). It also has a small pendant about its neck.
Knowledge (Religion) check, DC 10:
Appraise check, DC 15:

Vethran Tallomane |

"I believe that Elisile is correct. This would indeed fit the description of a quasit, though a most corrupted and befouled one to be sure."
Vethran casts his gaze around the room, looking at the various bodies to ensure that they have all been properly slain and will not be rising again soon.

Elisile Starbrow |

Appraise (untrained): 12+3 = 15
Elisile nods in agreement at Dravite's words, and gingerly takes and pockets the quasit's gear (excepting the gown) before preparing to move on.
"The tiara and the dagger may both be worth something," she tells the others. "Although who would use such tiny items I cannot tell - I do not think it would be healthy for such things to find their way into the hands of a human or elven child..."

Alwyn Agnarrson |

Knowledge (religion) 14+4=18.
"It wore the symbol of the Mother of Monsters around its neck. We might have stumbled onto something more sinister than we initially thought - demonic cultists operating a secret temple never bode well. Let's make sure there aren't any more beasts around."
Before the party leaves the room, Alwyn makes sure to retrieve his net from the strange pool. Rolling it up into a shapeless bundle before stuffing it into his backpack, he's the last one to leve the chapel.
