HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none

My understanding is that those failed grapple attempts mean he's free to make use of this round's actions as he wishes. Let me know if i've gotten it wrong, somehow, Aubrey.

“Into the trees!” Ashshar hisses as he raises his shield, doing his best to wriggle and squirm into a more defensible location.

Ashshar goes full defensive and moves to C.13 (provoking AoO’s from pretty much all the lizards in that area). His AC is 19 for this round.

Cole, however, continues his rush up the incline and towards the pitched fight. Quickly scrabbling up over the lip of the incline, he bellows another wordless warcry as he snatches the handle of the massive blade from over his shoulder. In one efficient move, he slides free from its sheath and slams down on the nearest lizard warrior in a meteoric vertical strike.

"PORTFORGED!" he roars without taking his eyes from the immediate fight, "WHAT'S GOING ON DOWN THERE?!"

Accelerated Climb, DC 5: 1d20 + 4 - 5 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 5 = 15
That puts him at the top of the climb with 10ft of movement left in a single move.
He uses that movement to close to D.14, drawing his greatsword along the way. Then he’ll Power Attack L.10.
Greatsword: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 8 - 1 = 25

HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none

Aubrey, in your early description of this new group of lizard-dudes, you mentioned that L6 “looks fairly bad-ass” with a breastplate thing made from turtle shells. Are there any other standout combatants in this group? Or just the one? Gotta prioritize Cole’s attacks, ya know.

Just the one.

L7 and L8 wil take the AoOs on Ashshar. L9 and L11 will see if Rehil tries the same trick.
L7 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 to hit, damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
L8 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 to hit, damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Not sure how many hit points Ashshar has right now but I think that probably puts him down.

Ashshar collapses, already weak from blood loss and shock, as he is felled by the claw of a foe.

Cole erupts up the slope and promptly fells another lizard warrior. Through the bushes he can see another battling Nalverren. It turns and snarls at him.

Draconic:

Spoiler:
"A worthy foe!"

No offence, Nalverren.

L10 down. Nalverren.

Nalverren steps back to the edge of the cliff, next to Cole, and fire his bow. It nicks the lizard-warrior's hide but only seems to draw it on.

Time for Portforged's death-defying return.

"He says to surrender or he kills Portforged!" Cole says as he looks for another opening in the lizardfolk champion's defenses. "Don't know if he'll honor the, though."

He roars back at the shaman in draconic.

draconic:
"YOU ATTACKED US! YOU STAND DOWN AND WE TALK!"

If it were Cole's turn in initiative, he'd still be attacking at this point. He has no reason to believe the little creature won't kill them anyway. From Cole's perspective, the shaman's only requesting a surrender because the little guy doesn't have the fight in-hand.

The little shaman replies:

Draconic:

Spoiler:
"The humans value their metal friends little. That I know from those as Da'Sheth, they throw them away like fishbones. Do you metal men also not care for each other?" replies the shaman. "You know I will do it. Maybe after I deal with your friend here I will find the human you hid in the bushes and deal with him too. Drop your weapons or death will follow."

The lizard warrior opposite Cole hisses:

Draconic:

"The chief wants you all alive, metal-man. If possible."

Cole relents, his blade's tip dropping to the ground. "He says he'll spare us." Again, he switches languages.

Draconic:

I certainly don't want to get anyone killed.

Hearing Cole, Rehil steps back and to the side, leaving his sword pointing from one outstretched hand toward his opponent. Without taking his eyes from the lizardman opposite him, he asks Cole, "And you believe him? He probably just wants to keep us fresh for the pot.

His other hand slips into his belt pouch and gropes for his cure light wounds potion.

The lizard-warrior opposite Rehil shouts:

Had Portforged just attempted to flee instead of helping Vaard, it might have been able to escape alive with a combination of Burst and Nomad's Step. It would have meant abandoning Wultram and Vaard to being either captured or killed, which it didn't want to do. Had it known how its 'allies' would react, though...well, it may have just run when it became clear we were losing:P
