GM Ascension |

The dwarf has Maeltheron over her shoulder.
Following the halfling, though at a slightly slower pace due to her burden the dwarf starts moving east as well, Maeltheron slung over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
The undine reaches down and picks up Vaek and looks ready to move eastward as well.
Cheyle whispers quietly in basic cyclopian, struggling with the language. "I can follow them if you like?" She waves a potion vial in front of Anthony's face. "See where they go to. And what about the spices in Mael's room? I don't expect it will be long before the guards show up."
Sic and Anthony any actions?

Sicsivicus |

If Sic is able to he will move to intercept and attack the man carrying Vaek.
With the pounding of feet, Sicsivicus lopes towards the man carrying Vaek over his shoulder. He draws his short sword and calls upon its scabbard's power as he does.
Activating Scabbard of Vigor for a +4 for 1 round
Drop my pal bub!
Short Sword: 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 4 = 29
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 4 = 12
if necessary and possible then charge. +2 Attack
-------------------------------------------------------------
If he is out of range and/or charge isnt possible then he moves 30' closer and cast Murderous Command Will Save DC 14 on the one carrying Vaek
Sic moves closer to the enemy that is struggling under Vaek's unconscious weight and with a deep rumble of dark words cast one of his most evil spells.

Eidolon Krast |

If Sics action isnt prevented somehow, Anthony will follow him to assist. Cant look at the map right now, so ill add an attack and damage roll if a Charge is possible, otherwise he will just move to help intercept the man.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 +2 if Charge
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 6) + 4 = 15
Well that likely wont hit. Unless ofc he cant use his shield while carrying Vaek, and gets grapple penalties for it (no idea if there are any rules about carrying people around)

GM Ascension |

Having Sic delay then till the cloud disappears so he can see better what is going on.
The spider scuttles northward into the cloud towards Sorad. As the cloud of noxious fumes fades away it can be seen struggling to keep to its feet.
The witch can be seen hovering in the air near the undine as he carries Vaek eastward. And on the rooftops to the south the female spellcaster can be seen moving across the rooftops.
The ashen bird makes one last swoop towards Anthony then disappears in a cloud of ash.
Attack d20 + mods = 25
The two elves down the leopard with another two arrows piercing it.
Farther down the street to the east a half dozen city guard can be seen running your direction, knocking down those not quick enough to get out of the way. The are currently about 180' away from the fountain.
@Sic, neither of those actions are valid. Murderous command has a range of 35' at your level. You need at least a double move to get close enough to cast it.
@Anthony you won't be able to charge through the window due to the rough terrain it represents.
The ashen bird vanishes this turn after it attacks Anthony (still waiting for an attack roll to be made).
Current initiative order:
Saul
Undine, witch, female caster, NPC's, and the halfling (out of sight to the east).
Sic/Sorad/Anthony (Sorad tried one more attempt at a peace offering this turn which is being plainly rejected).
Enemy cleric and dwarf
Sic and Anthony are currently up as neither of their above actions were valid. Moving back into round by round again since you plan to engage them if possible.

Eidolon Krast |

Anthony will drink his invisibility potion, then cast Expeditious Retreat on himself. Afterwards he will attempt to follow the female caster on the rooftops. Adding a Perception check to keep track of her if applicapble
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28
And a Stealth roll.
Stealth: 1d20 + 13 + 20 ⇒ (13) + 13 + 20 = 46

Eidolon Krast |

To clarify, he speaks first, drinks the potion second, then moves through the window towards the caster on the roof. Next round he will cast Expeditious Retreat and move, following that he will simply follow her, looking for a chance to attack her.

GM Ascension |

Minor retcon
The witch calls out to Sorad. "You there, monk, I know you to be a man of your word. But I also know the half orc lies. We know of your roll in the extortion of merchants and threats against their families. How can we treat fairly with you in parley when you abide the lies of your friends?"

GM Ascension |

Saul is up
Those are city watchmen far to the right - sprinting your direction.
And another detail I missed from the witches actions :(. She disappeared from sight last round after chanting the words of a spell.
And just prior to Sic moving towards the undine
As the stinking cloud lifts she can be heard near the undine casting another spell.

Saul Brooks |

Mine, sorry.
Abruptly, Saul's waves of nausea receded and the gruesome stomach pain vanished. With a curse, Saul spat out from his mouth and rushed outside.
... D'ast. Saul muttered at the sight before him.
Move to R30

GM Ascension |

The undine continues moving west, slowed by Vaek's weight. One of the crossbowmen calls out, "What now?" and the undine responds "Keep that half-orc back!" The man is quick to reply back, "I'm not going to stand here and try and take on that half-orc, that's not what I signed on for for this job."
Undine double moves to U49
The woman on the roof tops jumps from the roof and floats gently to the ground, her strange birdlike reptile following just above her shoulder. Upon touching the ground she fishes in her bags and pulls out a piece of parchment.
The six city guard, dressed in chain shirts and armed with short swords and short bows draw their blades as they run forward. "Throw down your weapons and surrender." Their faces are apprehensive though seeing so many armed individuals in the area.
The two elves exit the inn behind Saul, bows in hand, watching your assailants retreat.
Though you cannot see anything, you sense or feel something pass by close overhead.
Anthony, Sic, and Sorad are up.

Eidolon Krast |

Casting a spell to once again enhance his movement, Anthony hurried forward, brushing past Sic and whispering to the half-orc.
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18
Stealth: 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (7) + 33 = 40
Cast Expeditious Retreat, then move to X 39. Since it may actually be at all relevant with the current distances between people, ill just mention that enemies take a -1 penalty to perception checks pr 10 feet distance. Mostly thinking about the spell cast and whispering, although it affects the Stealth roll as well.

Sicsivicus |

Sic nodded having full trust in Tony even as a plan of his own spawned in his mind...thank you Father...
Sic was pissed off and mad about it...we just got kicked right in our damn teeth with nothing but fewer numbers to show for it and I aint haven't it... The priest of Norgorber muttered in his guttural way and flexed his fingers. Mist began pouring from his location obstructing everyone's view.
Strandard Action to cast Obscuring Mist
From within the cloud the half orc yelled back to Saul and Sorad.
Move Action to the edge of the mist at R.40

GM Ascension |

@Sorad, the guards won't move again till right before your turn, so delaying will basically be a lost turn if you delay the entire duration.
Rolling Sic's acrobatics to move at full speed through the mist. d20 = 18 + whatever mods that would have on it, he is fine.
The enemy cleric, the dwarf, and halfling (the latter two who ran around the far side of the stables) are up. Given Saul can't see any of them with the obscuring mist now blocking vision for him Saul can state his actions.

Eidolon Krast |

A little bit of retcon here, but Anthony didnt answer Cheyles question, which he would have if I wasnt too dense to remember it.
Anthony turned to look at Cheyle. "Well atleast she doesnt lack the desire to help."

GM Ascension |

The hafling appears from out behind the stables where he'd run, moving towards the city guard, calling out to them.
You have to strain to hear it, but you are able to make out what he is saying. "City guards...my friend presents our papers. This group of thugs, which are enemies of this city and it's rightful leadership, have refused to surrender to the law. Even now, they cast magic to allude you. They should be tried for their crimes and their threats against the good people of this city. Please guard our retreat so our prisoners may be questioned!"
The cleric, moving towards the guards in a slow manner hands them a sheet of paper which one of them takes and begins to read over.
There is obvious confusion and surprise among the guards at both the words of the hafling and the paper given them by the cleric.
The undine continues to move east and one of the guards moves to stop him till a barked order is called out, "Let them pass. They've the seal of the tower on this document."
The woman who had been on the roof also moves towards the guards, handing another of the guards the sheet of paper she had pulled out earlier, presumably it is a copy of the other.
The one holding the paper speaks to the cleric, but a gust of wind picks up as he does so muffling his words to all but Anthony.
His voice is urgent, "How many more of them are there?"
The priest replies, "Five or six."
The guards spread out slightly and the thugs with crossbows push past them and turn to watch Sic and Sorad warily.
Saul still needs to state actions, but Anthony, Sic, and Sorad can also state actions at this point.

Eidolon Krast |

Double move to W 57, moving in such a way to avoid getting too close to the caster. In the process he does however move right past the guard at X 55.
Stealth: 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (3) + 33 = 36
Wow, a 3, and at a time like this of all things...

GM Ascension |

@Anthony, bad news, moving at more than half speed gives you a -5 to stealth. Good news, I roll stealth for you, so ignoring that roll. W57 still leaves 10' between you and Vaek, just wanted to clarify that is what you intended?
You sense the presence of someone invisible nearby.
Moving north, around the west side of the stables you spot two more men with crossbows another 70' or so ahead of you. Both perk up as they see you coming towards them. Another half dozen guards can be seen even further back sprinting towards the inn.
Everyone can post another round of action - although before Sic, Anthony, and Sorad go all of them have another round of actions, so either state your actions in conditionals or just wait till I get updates from the other sides actions.

Eidolon Krast |

Yes the location is correct, didnt wanna get too close to anyone in case of outrageous perception checks.
On his Next turn, Anthony will move to follow the monk, getting in front of him with a double move. However, if the monk is within Anthonys reach when Anthonys turn comes up, he will cast Cure Light Wounds at his current location, then move up and do the Heal / Grab manouver we discussed. Cant think of any other conditionals to describe, most of what may change my decision is largely dependant on whatever hairbrained ideas our opposition may get.
Anthony tries his best to focus his hearing and block out the sound of the guards, attempting to maybe get an idea of whereabout the invisible person may be.
Btw, I thought the level of bureaucracy in matters concerning the Tower, would require more than 6 seconds to read over, even if it does bear the Towers seal O.o

Maeltheron Timmerond |

Sorry guys...I am going to bow out of this PbP by simply staying dead and not engaging in the true ressurection. It seems like too many players and rules lawyering are dragging this thread down. It has been a pleasure, and I wish all of you the best.

Saul Brooks |

Saul's going to be heading towards the Guild unless something gets in his way
Saul spat out a long string of obscenities. Yet again he was forced to run off. Know there ain't such a thing as a fair fight, but I'd 'preachate it if it wasn't fair n' my favor for once.

GM Ascension |

Sorry to see you go Mael.
@Anthony, that is the dwarf, holding Mael's body. As for the plan, casting, and 'grappling' something would both be a standard action, so you can't do both the same round. Of course the sound of casting will give your position away, so did you want to just cast and touch Vaek? And hope he gets away on his own? At this point I'm thinking probably new init rolls for everyone anyway with your cast being a new surprise round - the other group while not relaxed, are certainly feeling a lot safer surrounded by guards and other mooks.
Vaek's form suddenly changes, no longer wearing the guise he left the inn in. His hat has been removed and a man in his late 20's or early 30's with medium length burgundy hair is sprawled over the shoulder of the undine.
The two elves follow Saul around the north side of the inn, and the two thugs seeing Sorad coming from one direction and the city guard coming from the other vanish down the side alleyway.
The guard who took the papers from your enemies continues reading the finer details of the document. "Search the area, but be careful he calls out." Three of the guards start moving toward the cloud of mist wearily, blades at the ready and listening intently.
The priest moves to stand directly northeast of the undine, watching the direction of the fog cloud, mace at the ready.
At this point everyone but Sic and Anthony have fled the area. So any actions/rescue are up to them. Feel free to state actions/amend plans.

GM Ascension |

Btw, I thought the level of bureaucracy in matters concerning the Tower, would require more than 6 seconds to read over, even if it does bear the Towers seal O.o
The guardsman is still reading the finer points of the document, but he saw something on it right off that was sufficient to make him non-hostile towards the other group.

Eidolon Krast |

Since theres no mention of who removed Vaeks hat, I can only assume its the invisible person who took it. In that case Id like to point out that Anthony will be able to see that hat floating in mid air untill it is tugged away, letting me know the location of the invisible person.
Ofcourse ive gone and forgotten to aquire a springloaded wrist sheath for Anthonys wand (which I get for practically every character who uses a wand). Since drawing an item from a Handy Haversack is a Move Action, can I draw it as part of a move, in the same way one can draw a weapon? Further, the single word used to activate a wand, would it give away what spell its cast, or can the activation word be anything you choose when it is created? The reason I wanna try using the wand, is to not give away what ive cast, since the enemy is sure to know Vaek is concious then.
If I cannot draw the wand as part of a move, or the activation of the wand would give away the spell anyway (or both), Anthony will do the following.
First use a Standard Action to cast Cure Light Wounds and hold the charge. Then, Move Action to move 15 feet directly East. During this move he will Move Silently in such a way that he will almost surely give away his position, but without being obvious about it (a Bluff maybe?). At the 15 feet mark he will loop back to end his move at T 58. Movement after the first 15 feet will be performed with full stealth (my bonus is +34, not +33 btw, I had forgotten my trait bonus when calculating my bonus). At the end of his move, he will touch Vaek and trigger the Cure Light Wounds.
If the activation word wont give away the spell and drawing the wand as part of my move IS allowed, Anthony will do the exact same thing as above, the only difference being that he casts the spell from the wand.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Sicsivicus |

Sic bared his tusks, though none could see them; and steeled his resolve...damned bloody fools went and got pinched by a bunch of toothless, Blackfingers damned milk drinkers... The half orc was spittin' mad about the whole night but was determined to even the score... one way or 'nother... He crept closer to the group of guardsmen but tried to work his way around them.
Move to N.55. Stealth +26

GM Ascension |

Drawing the wand from a pack or haversack requires the full move action. If it were hanging from a strap at your waist or something (similar to a weapon sheath) then it could be drawn as part of a move action like unsheathing a weapon (I've seen a developer quote on this somewhere in the past). Then it also become susceptible to steal/sunder maneuvers though.
I would not allow a spellcraft from the command word alone to identify the spell from a wand. Spell visuals (if you weren't invisible) would allow a spellcraft check to figure it out.
Vaek's head is toward the west. His hat disappeared the moment it came off his head. You aren't certain exactly where the invisible person is, but certainly in one of the western grid squares (pretty low perception check for you that round).

Eidolon Krast |

Well you have my action then. And a note that I shall be carrying my wand hanging on my person in the future, and my potions in my belt pouches. The Steal Sunder parts dont much matter when im in the suit anyway.

GM Ascension |

The halfling yells out towards the inn. "Forty eight hours! Check with the bartender!"
The undine continues moving east as Anthony casts his spell then quickly follows, touching Vaek and bringing him back to consciousness.
The guards immediately begin shouting.
Vaek is up. He is still being held and is still entangled in the spider web (reducing his movement speed to half).

Eidolon Krast |

Wasnt aware the Undine was gonna keep moving. It pretty much invalidates his entire ploy of making the enemy think he ran one way, then stealthing in another direction (Since he now keeps moving in the direction he was trying to fool them into thinking he was going). Either way, im guessing its too late to amend the situation.
Id probably prefer to move ahead of the Undine before touching Vaek, even if moving full speed is -10 stealth (Even a roll of 1 would still get me a 25). Also curious why im not closer to the Undine, wouldnt him and Vaek occupy the same square?
Do we get a surprise round seeing as none of the people who are left are visible when I suddenly cast my spell and the enemy is apparently already looting Vaek.

GM Ascension |

@Anthony, readjusting you to U66, just east of the undine. Minor correction on Vaek's position - he should be squeezing in the same space as the undine currently, after Vaek's move, if he fails to escape he will be in a square adjacent to the undine and then be under normal grappling.
I ended up deciding against the surprise round and new init rolls.

Vaek |

Coming out of unconsciousness, it takes Vaek a moment to realize what is happening. He feels his natural hair brushing against his cheek. Those bastards have taken my hat of disguise! This is getting personal.
With his mind still somewhat adjusting, his natural instincts take over. His feet caught up in a web. Damned spider. I have always hated them. First things first.
With out a second thought, he vanishes from sight Vanishing Trick I think I have 2 ki left?
Attempting to use his weight to his advantage he throws to towards the back of the undine. "Keep your hands off me you dirty Undine!"
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20 plus any bonus of being invisible if applicable[/dice]
[ooc]assuming I escape
Vaek as best as possible hopes to the north first to S64 then to R65
Do I notice if i'm missing any other equipment?
