Quasit then moves to the doors on the right side of the room and checks to see if they're unlocked. If one of them is, she'll open it.

Never needing to be told to burn something twice, Maka sent a blast of hirt at one of the bookshelves. Sticking her tongue out and flipping Rasputin a rude gesture, Maka followed behind Quasit.

Sakitu jumps behind the end of a bookcase as soon as she hears Rasputin's voice. A wave of panic surges through her when she looks around the room and can't find Fin. But more than that she feels helpless. There seems to be nothing that any of them can do to hinder or harm Rasputin's image but he's already shown that he can use his magic through it. It seems that they should just leave and find a different building.
I have no idea what actions to do here. It is pointless to waste spells or attacks on the image. Maka and Quasit are already doing things to try and get him to respond. Maybe my brain is just too tired to think of anything....

"NO! Don't burn the books! Steal them! Books are never for burning!" Selena exclaims as Maka moves to start burning books, genuine worry in Selena's voice. "Besides, these books are especially likely to be useful in understanding this world and maybe even the magics and rituals we are dealing with!"
Despite her unusual concern, she does not forget the illusion and is ready to counterspell if Rasputin tries any magic.

As he finishes his spell, four ghostly figures phase through the walls of the room. They look like children--three girls and a boy--with slit throats and riddled with holes, but instead of blood gems flow from their wounds only to fade into nothingness before reaching the floor.
"Kill the archer, then the spellcasters," Rasputin commands, before his image vanishes from the room.

Right behind her, one of the apparitions is attacking Fin. But both Bulvi and Maka are there. Gritting her teeth, she turns to look in the other direction. One of the horrific creatures is just on the other side of the bookshelf she is hiding behind. She leans out so that she can get a clear view then casts a spell towards it. A blasting cone of cold shoots forth, instantly covering the walls, the floor, the ceiling, and even the creature in rime.
Casting Cone of Cold such that it only gets the creature directly north of me (I assume Rasputin is not there). Reflex save DC 24 for half. Spell Resistance applies so I'll roll a caster check in cast that matters.

She briefly considers ducking into the smaller room and slamming the door. Briefly. But then clenching her teeth, she lunges forward and swipes aggressively through the ghostly child engaged with Kalchine.

Selena counters Rasputin's spell before he vanishes. You unleash a flurry of attacks on the not-ghosts. One of Kalchine's attacks hits, Chest Thumper's claws hit, one of Selena's bolts hits, two each of Bulvi and Maka's attacks hit, and all of Fin's and Quasit's attacks hit. The creature that bore the brunt of the assault fades from view, but two more crowd in towards Fin. They also provoke attacks of opportunity from everyone but Chest Thumper and Fin while doing so.
The two by Fin reach out their hands to touch him.

As the last foe fell, the rage that had fueled Maka's vicious assault pushed her for more. She wanted to roar with all of her might, to burn and fight until there was nothing left. Taking an inhumanly deep breath of air, the fire monk paused for a few moments before releasing her breath in a calm, measured manor.
The blue flames surrounding her extinguished as her exaggerated dragonic features receded. With a slight sway, Maka dropped to her hands and knees. Her limbs burned from the exertion of combat, and her lungs begged for her take rapidly take in air. Instead she continued to regulate her breathing and center herself. A task made none the easier by Saki's attempts at self mutilation and Fin and Quasit's attempt to stop her.
"Take out her knees!" Maka managed to get out in-between breaths.
