Hi there!
I want to play the Pathfinder Adventure Path Jade Regent in the Paizo forums (PBP).
It would be theater of the mind combat.
5 more players are needed.
Each book of the adventure path is going to be GMed by one of the players, so at the end of the adventure path all the players have GMed one book.
So... interested in the adventure? If so, post here with the concept of your character.
My two concepts of characters are:
- a human monk focusing on self improvement
- a human magus from the distant lands of the east.
The first 5 players will get the seat!

I'd be down. I have an idea for a lover of Koya, either a Human, Half-Elf, or Aasimar who years ago had to leave for a distant land, never to return. Yet today, he shall return to the woman he met years ago, with a splendid day!
In terms of DMing, I'd be more than willing to DM the first book- Would seem relatively easy compared to other levels.

Ok, We have our party!
I'll mark the thread as recruitment closed and use this same thread to create the characters.
In terms of DMing, Languagejunkie and Vagabond are willing to begin the AP, so please discuss between yourselves who will begin.
In terms of PFS, only one player mentioned about it. Should we do this like PFS compliant? Or just play the AP in "normal" pathfinder mode?
In terms of character creation, What do we do with the characteristics? And the hitpoints? The starting wealth? Should we roll? Should we use max values?
Personally, I'm pretty much confortable with the standard array method: 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, maxing starting hit points, and maxing starting wealth for each class.
What do you say?

@Vagabond It sounded to me like you would prefer the first book above all. If that's true I could step back and let you start us.

What does it take to run a PFS credit game? If it's not too much, I'm fine with it.
In terms of character creation . . . Stuff
I tend to run under 20 point buy, but I'm just as happy with standard array. Definitely max hit points to start. I have no issues with max wealth to start, though I think at least for starting wealth, that one may be better left up to the starting GM. I think probably average+1 for health after first would be my suggestion. I usually do rolling for health after first in my own games, but I think this other method will just help create a more consistent game with rotating GMs.

Gotcha- I don't actually play Pathfinder Society, so if you guys want that, I don't think I can provide it.
In terms of Wealth, I'd say 250 gp each. Spend some of that gold on some fluff stuff, though, but that's just personal preference.
I think we should probably move this over to Discussion, rather than Recruitment- After all, we have our party.
I presume you guys want to keep this Paizo only? I'm open to tossing in some Spheres of Might in case you guys want to use that supplement, but that's probably just me.
A 20 point buy is more than reasonable, though I like a bit of randomness to characters- I was thinking rolling 3d6+6 drop lowest thrice, 4d6 drop lowest thrice, and plain 3d6 thrice. Drop highest from one set, middle from another, and lowest from third. It's pretty dang weird, but I'd like to give it a go.
And yes, Max Health on 1st level. Average +1 thereafter.

I think I'd like to go with a build I never got to play in PFS because he was my GM-baby. It's a Dawnflower Dervish bard, and I would play her as the Shoanti younger sister of Sheriff Hemlock in Sandpoint. Unlike her older brother, she's tried to re-embrace her Shoanti culture after having been separated from it as a child. She has a huge childhood crush on Sandru and even learned Varisian so that she could speak to him ... once she found the courage to say hi.

GM_Ravenath |

Vagabong, I understand what you mean with the random generation. But this is not a one shot, not a module. This is campaign that will span for months... if not years. Roll bad, and you will have a crappy character for all this time, while other could have the hero of their lives. Determine my performance as a character for years just in one roll (or 6) is something I'm not confortable at all.
I really think that for a long campaign like this, we should go with something we can build the character we want.
So let's do a vote, as we are a group of GMs. I vote for 20 points.

LanguageJunkie |

I vote for 20 points. Same reasons GM_Ravenath stated. I ran a test run with my dice at home for that system and it still seems pretty fickle in the way it rolls (though it does seems to tend somewhat toward the higher numbers).
250 gold is fine with me. And if PFS credit is that easy, then we may as well do it.
Okay, so looks like we've got a samurai, cleric of Torag, dawnflower dervish bard, and a monk or magus.
I'm thinking I might do a scholarly half-orc wizard, adopted by Koya. I'm still deciding on school for sure, but I think I'm going with either universalist or transmutation.

20 Point buy for ability scores
250 gp Starting Gold
Available materials: All Paizo, Spheres of Might (?)
Indeed, but I am not currently in charge of the DM thread- That's under GM_Ravenath's control. Should probably ask to have this thread transfered to me.
And yeah, I'd like the Feat Tax Rules, although Spheres of Might has some stuff to negate it.
Since this book is heavily eastern inspired, but requires players to travel to the eastern-inspired location, I'm wondering what the fluff will bring.
Current Players and their Characters:

Feat tax rules are fine with me.
I will say I'm not as sure about spheres of might. I don't know enough about them to say anything really one way or the other, but that also means I'm unsure about GMing them when my rotation comes around. I could figure it out if everyone else wants them though.
Are we using Background Skills?

You can't prevent us from posting to your thread or make it private MWUAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHAHA!1!!1
Ahem. In all seriousness, the common thing to do is just to move on to the discussion thread and let the recruitment thread die by way of no-one posting to it. You can't edit thread title on these boards, nor can you edit posts after an hour has passed from their posting.

It seems like it's listed under the Online Campaign section of the thing, states that you need
"A link to your profile page (click on your name at the top where it says 'Welcome, your name!'
A link to the gameplay and discussion threads for the campaigns you have inherited."
So... I'm not sure how exactly, but you should probably create a discussion thread anyway. Either way, let's head off to a discussion thread.
