Male Human Summoner 13

Jorge frowns, seeing Tylonick actually hit. No no no! This will not do, not do at all! Tylonick, I want some spider legs for dinner!" He says, while pulling out a rod from his bag, and casting a spell, then moves, ducking behind one of the tables.

Tylonick gives a goofy grin even while being hit. "I don't think these will be tasty!" He then roars, ripping the huge spider a new one, taking a very short step if need be to get into flanking with the dwarf.

Also please let me know if Tylonick made any of those reflex saves, so the damage can be reduced due to evasion.

Actions:

Ok, first choice is Jorge casting shield on Tylonick, then moving to b-14 and hiding! 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (1) + 31 = 32
Second choice is to cast Compel Hostility on the spider, to attack [ooc]Tylonick. He'll only do this if the spider moves towards where he is at. He'll also attempt to hide, doing a move action for the stealth, to the nearest place, but farthest from the spider.[/ooc
[ooc]
Tylonick will, if the spider is next to him, will first attempt a 5ft step to flank with Babkas, then do a full attack
Bite: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (6) + 20 = 26 Damage: 3d6 + 15 ⇒ (1, 6, 2) + 15 = 24

And if the spider moves, will do another charge/pounce. If charge, add

Male Human Cleric 13

I can load the map now that I am at home and not on a mobile device. I believe moving to F9 should allow me to still hit everyone but the spider. If it turns out someone moves in such a way that I miss them, feel free to adjust my final spacing.

The spider looks at Tylonick and its eyes grow red and fire shoots out from it but the large beast is able to move out of the way of the fire. The spider then reals up on its legs again and attacks Tylonick and then when it lands it tries to bite him as well but all attacks miss. Tylonick returns the favor by unleashing his mighty attacks, striking the beast with a wing, a claw, and a bite. Randolpho lets loose with 3 scorching rays but only two make contact with the intended target. Iorec strikes at the beast with is blade finishing off the spider and it quickly drops to the ground and begins dispersing.

Everyone gets 19,200 xp.

"I saw that girl looking suspicious earlier. I suspect she tried to summon something beyond her means. Someone should question her and make sure she wasn't compelled by magic to do this."

Male Human Cleric 13

The cleric moves over to the young woman to see how badly she was hurt and discover if there is anything he can do to help.

Heal check 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (12) + 20 = 32

As Antinous approaches she wakes up and groans a little. "uhh...huh...what happened..." she starts to sit up slowly but the groans and lays back down.

male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13

Iorec hurries to join Antinous at the woman's side. "Hush, try to relax. You were attacked by some kind of giant metallic spider. But you are safe now. We actually need you to tell us, what before we got here", he says in the most comforting voice he can manage, knowing that the girl probably brought this on herself.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (5) + 19 = 24

"Well I'm not exactly sure what happened. The last thing I remember I was using my scroll of greater binding to summon a retriever. You see...some of the other mages in my class make fun of me for not being as magically inclined as they were. I thought I'd be able to impress them if I was able to bind that beast here but I must of messed up the summoning. Toff is going to kill me..." and with that she starts to cry softly.

Male Human Cleric 13

"I find that clever uses of magic tend to more useful that grand gestures, my dear."

The cleric examines her reaction to see if there are any tell-tale signs of magic influence that might have caused her to do this, such as a suggestion spell.

Sense motive 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31

Male Dwarf Quinggong Maneuver Master 13

Babkas jumps for joy as the spider dissappiers, "That'll show ya, comin' to our dimension." Babkas nods with a harumph. He gives a weak parting kick to the spider as it's dissappearing, before he notices the rest of the party attending to the girl. He takes a stand behind Antinous Demonte, measuring the girl's words himself.

Sense Motive 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (14) + 25 = 39

You get the feeling that she acted on her own accord and is telling the truth. She looks at Antinous "I know...but I just wanted to shut them up... she said between sniffles as the tears begin to subside. "Thank you all for saving me by the way. Is there anything I can do to thank you? I'll do anything you wish."

Male Human Cleric 13

"Don't let them goad you into something like this again. Living well is the best revenge in a case live this. I know from experience."

Male Dwarf Quinggong Maneuver Master 13

"Aye, ye got really lucky this time, lassy." Babkas smiles, confident that the girl is innocent. "I'm with this guy 'ere," he gestures to Antinous, "I wouldn't expect to get so lucky a second time. I tell ya what you can do though. How about ya be there on the sidelines while we, the Champions of Gabil-Nala, win this year's festival so ya can cheer us on! How's that sound?"

Gabil-Nala = Great Path, for those who speak Dwarven. *Pulled it out of a dwarven lexicon he found on Google*

male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13

"Maybe we can talk to Master Toff to not be too hard on you", Iorec says sympathetically. "If there is so much pressure from your peers to make you try something like this it might be just as much his fault that this incident happened. And I think you certainly learned your lesson for the day!" he adds with a wink.

Human Incanter 3 | AC 12/12/10 | HP 23/23 | CMD 12 | F+4,R+3,W+4 | Init.+2, Perc.+1 | Current SP 7/7 | Dest.Blast damage 2d6 | 2/2 Hero Points

"I understand how difficult it can be when your peers do not accept you. But if you work hard, and study harder, you can make them all respect you. Dont forget that..."

The girls eyes light up and she nods at Babkas's words. "Well my class helped design the challenge in the hall of summoning so I'm going to be there making sure everything goes well...that is if Toff lets me participate..." As her words fade you can hear footfall coming quickly down the hall. A few seconds a rather irate Toff comes into the room, a large puff of smoke leaving his pipe. "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE" he bellows, his eyes landing right on the female student. Seska if I find out you're behind this... he says as his words trail off. He seems to be trying to contain his temper as he reaches up and strokes the bridge of his nose.

Male Human Summoner 13

Jorge frowns a little, while Tylonick comes padding back up, and he pats the large creature on the side. "Good work." He looks at the girl, shaking his head. "Got to be more careful when you're summoning girl. Next time someone might not be there to help if the bindings don't hold..." He nods, then blinks when Toff comes roaring into the room. [/b"Now my dear sir, it was merely an accident that occured here, and one that caused no serious damage. Accidents happen...We are only mortal sir." He says with a disarming grin.

Diplomacy in attempt to calm Toff down: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (13) + 20 = 33

male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13

"And besides, the poor girl was put under pressure by her classmates and felt that only by engaging in this ritual above her capabilities she could gain some acceptance. The true responsibility for this accident lies with those peer-pressuring youths!" Iorec carefully adds.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (14) + 19 = 33

"Its not the other students fault...they're smart enough not to try stunts like this." Seska starts to cry again and Toff lets the words of the adventurers sink in a little more and he takes a deep breath before looking at the young mage. "I guess they're right...not much damage was done. Besides it seems like students always get a little antsy this time of year. I still want you to pay me back for the scroll you had to use in this failed experiment but other than that you're off the hook. Just don't let it happen again, and if you want I can help you after class so you can catch up a little."

Seska stops crying and smiles and then hugs Toff. "Thanks...so I can still participate in the Festival?" she asks sounding a little pensive. Toff nods and Seksa hugs him again before leaving the room.

Once she's gone Toff sighs and runs a hand through his gray hair. "Students...they sure make you go gray sometimes. I'm sorry for any inconveniance this has caused and I thank you for stepping in before more damage could have been done and making sure that Seksa was fine. In repayment for your quick reaction I have a reward for each of you. And he reaches into his robes and pulls out a coin purse for each of you with 200pp in it.

At this time Jandar comes back in "Shall we be on our way then?"

Male Human Cleric 13

"Of course. Quite an interesting place you have here. I hope it remains as invigorating."

The cleric smiles as their guide leads them away.

Dolph didn't say anything. His mind was already moving toward thoughts of the contest set to begin tomorrow. Both the dwarf and the eidolon appeared very fierce, but Dolph knew he has some magic up his sleev that would help both of their fighting abilities.

Preparing for castings of Mage armor and GMW for the guys tomorrow.

If I remember correctly we had people wanting to go to the library and then our party rogue wanted to kick back and relax at the local tavern on campus. If there are any other stops you guys want to make please let me know.

Jandar looks at Antinous "Don't worry sir I think things will be rather...invigorating tomorrow. I will take you guys to the dorms where you can unload anything you don't want with you and then we will swing by the library. And then anyone that wants to come with me to the Ink Stain is more than welcome to join me. Though once there I'll be off duty so you'll be on your own. For those of you not familiar with the campus the INk Stain is our local student run tavern. It promises to be rather busy tonight with all the students blowing off steam from all the preparation from the festival."

With that he will show you're rooms and then to the library so those who wish to research can do so. I'll need respective knowledge checks for what ever your researching. If anyone wants to check up/interact more with Seska she can be found in the woman's dorms(on the other side of campus). Otherwise those who are so inclined can have some fun at the Ink Stain(my own contribution to the campus).

If I remember I will have a map of the campus up tomorrow or Wednesday for sure as well as the results for all your knowledge checks. I'm starting a Jade Regent campaign for some friends so we're going to be doing character creation today so I don't know how much time I'm going to have. You're patience would be appreciated.

Male Human Cleric 13

The cleric wants to learn more about the school, the contest, the previous winner and the current staff. I realize that might not all be in the library, but it seems the best place to gather information. He'll ask who ever is on staff with help finding the best books.

not sure which skills will be helpful in looking for information. Feel free to tell me and I'll roll, or you can roll for me, DM.

The following is the information that Rodolpho and Antinous were able to discover from the library and Antinous's attempts to gather information.

Information on the Acadamae:

The acadamae is one of the oldest institutions in Korvosa. The average time of study is 10 years but only about 70% survive the full decade. The school was founded in 4473 by Lord Volshyenek Ornelos and was set up so that it could support the needs of facuilty and student alike without any assistance from the outside world. Usually visitors are strictly prohibited except during the Breaching Festival or if they have direct business with the school. Messengers, deliveries, and even repairs are watched with the utmost scrutiny for fear that the secrets of the school might somehow leave its grounds or that the many wards protecting the outside world from the magic being cast on campus would somehow be damaged. Being that the Acadamae doesn’t limit what its students study if some of the magic being studied were to get out and infect Korvosa it would be very devastating, especially with the amount of students studying necromancy.
For the first 3 years of a student’s stay in the Acadamae they are treated much like slaves. They are mear apprentices to the more powerful Wizards on campus and are asked to do many mundane tasks such as: mop, carry books, clean clothing, and other mental tasks. 20% of the students do not survive these first years as they fall victim to magic traps, wayward spells, or durderous imps. Those that survive the first three years are then asked to choose a specialization and then move on to their actual studies. Divination is considered a universal school and is taught to all students but restricted as an area of focus. The examinations that lead to graduation are protentially fatal and help contribute to the somewhat high mortality rate on campus. Durring their last year on campus students usually apprentice themselves to senior faculty, serving as tutors to younger studnets and learning what they can from their masters. The final test a student must pass in order to graduate is to summon a devil(lemure or higher power).

Information on people:

Headmaster Toff Ornelos: Toff has served as headmaster for almost 30 years and is among the most skilled wizard in Varisia. He has recently become rather preoccupied with finding a winner for the Breaching Festival because he’s always suspected that the last winner had cheated and that doesn’t’ sit well with Toff.
Julaei Cangi: Julaei is the dean of the school of Abjuration. As the head of the school she is ever concerned with the protection of the school grounds and the students, teachers, and staff within. She takes her job very seriously as she understands what would happen if a ward were to fail.
Messida Vost: Messida is the dean of the school of Conjuration. There are many rumors that she is trying to summon a powerful demon but has yet to be successful. These rumors have created some tention between her and the other deans especially Julaei Cangi.
Norva Allesain: Norva is the dean at the school of divination. She is the youngest serving dean and has quicly rose through the ranks of faculty. Some of the other deans often wonder how she always seems to be in the right place at the right time for promotion.
Heresta Tarlan: She is the dean of the Hall of Charms and is rumored to be many students favorite teacher despite her gruff demeanor and her classes’ extreme difficulty.
Salgar Irevotnin: Salgar is the dean of the school of Evocation and is only 1 of 3 male deans at the Acadamae. He has a reputation of ending arcane dules with deadly force. This reputation helps her maintain order in the classroom and it is said that she has threatened disobedient students with a single round of combat against her if they don’t behave.
Rombastle Falgeringer: Rombastle is the only nonhuman dean on campus, but he doesn’t seem to let his gnome blood stand in his way. He is the dean of the school of illusions and he remains an air of seriousness around his peers to avoide undue prejudice against his kind. There is a rumor that he has several persistant images of his colleagues ating out elaborate and embarrassing charades.
Orianna Delmore: Orianna is the deal of Necromancy and there are rumors that she is in a constant foul mood because as of yet she has failed to attain lichdom.
Elgian Remorri: Elgian is the oldest dean at the acadamae. He is the dean of the school of Transmutation and he grows uneasy when things remain static for to long.

The Breaching Festival:
It has been over 150 years since the festival has seen a winner. All participants have started the event and then never returned. It is also widely believed that the one and only winner, a human by the name of Dyson Fordyce cheated to win the festival. However try as you might you are not able to find any evidence to support these rumors. The festival has grown out of the Hall of Ward’s claim that their traps and defenses were undefeatable and so far this claim has been proven true(except for the actions of Dyson). Each year Julaei Cangi and a hand picked group of students set new traps and wards in the hall for the festival and no one else knows what these wards are until the festival is underway. In the past any mannor of magical traps, particularly those that summon monsters or use glyphs and wards, have been used. The younger students at the Acadamae are responsible for the traps and challenges with in the other halls that the students must travel through to collect the key-lights needed to gain entry into the Hall of Wards. The festival has grown in popularity over the years and it has become customary for nobles from all over Korvosa to attend the festival. IT is even rumored that Queen Ileosa has been stopping by to watch the events of the day unfold.

Sorry but I'm running a little short on time so Ioric you'll have to wait until tomorrow for your information...sorry

MAP OF ACADAMAE

Male Human Summoner 13

Being the curious type, Jorge wanders around the Acadamae, looking around for a bit, then he heads to the woman's dorm, to see how Seska is going.

Male Human Cleric 13

Quick question: This description switches gender a couple of times. What gender is this dean?

Salgar Irevotnin: Salgar is the dean of the school of Evocation and is only 1 of 3 male deans at the Acadamae. He has a reputation of ending arcane dules with deadly force. This reputation helps her maintain order in the classroom and it is said that she has threatened disobedient students with a single round of combat against her if they don’t behave.

Once he is done learning what he can, Antinous will head to his room to sleep. He'll be up before dawn to pray for his spells that day. He'll quickly ask about any spells he should prepare for the group before turning in, likely visiting the school's bar to do so.

Salgar is supposed to be male...sorry was typing that up rather quickly.

Jorge:
You enter the womans dorm and a rather large female half orc stands behind a desk.

"What do you want?" she asks and then narrows her eyes at you. "Say you don't look familiar and where are your robes? If your not a student I'm going to have to give you the boot." She seems pretty intent on not letting you in but then you hear a voice behind you.

"you...you're one of the men from earlier aren't you? As you turn you see Seska standing behind you with a somewhat confused look on her face. She's trying to figure out what you're doing here.

The half orc sighs and then rubs her temples. "Miss Seska is he a friend of yours?" Seska nods and the guard apologizes to you.

Iorec:
As you enter the ink stain you are taken to the only empty table in the place. The room is alive with students drinking and dancing and just trying to forget about the amount of work they've just had to do for tomorrow. After about a half an hour you see some familar faces walk into the tavern as the female human and male halfing from this afternoon walk in. Their dwarf counterpart arrives shortly after they do but he goes right to the bar and plants himself on a stool.

The other two have a seat at the table behind you and you can over hear them talking. You're only catching bits and pieces of their conversation but it sounds as if the halfling doesn't want to compete this year in the Festival and the female human is trying to convince him otherwise.

"Fatbottom you came all the way out here, to go home now would be a waste...How am I supposed to have success with out you...I know but..."

You're snapped out of it a little as an attractive female half elf comes and sits at your table. "Hey I hope you don't mind me sitting here...need to get off my feet for a second." She is wearing a uniform and has an empty tray with her so you can guess that she's a bar maid.

male Human Cleric 1

"Sure, please do sit with me. Busy night?" Iorec inquires in his usual charming and ever-smiling way.

I don't want to hold the game up, if there is time we can play this encounter out otherwise I'd prefer to simply sum up and roll Diplomacy
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (14) + 19 = 33

She lets you know its extremely busy and that she is glad for the little break. You two continue talking and you fine out from her that she is one of the few that were selected to work on the traps in the hall of wards. She won't divulge any more key information other than to be on your guard and expect the unexpected. After a few moments a bar fight breaks out between the dwarf you recognize from before and a halfling and she quickly rushes to them to break it up and both parties are subsequently thrown out of the bar by a rather large half orc.

The night passes and the discussion between the female human and male halfling behind you intensifies, and eventually the female human storms out in anger and frustration.

Male Human Summoner 13

Gives a disarming smile at the guard. I was.. Cute off the sentence when Seska appears, and he smiles, nodding. "Yup, from earlier. I just thought I'd come buy and see how're you doing after that event." He says, while Tylonick remains behind him, sitting back on his haunches, remaining quiet.

male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13

Iorec tries to eavesdrop on the conversation before it escalates completely.
Perception: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (7) + 22 = 29

Jorge:
Seska blushes a little as you tell her why you're here.

"Thanks...other than my pride being hurt I'm feeling much better. Would you like to come up to my room and talk?" she bites her lip nervously as she asks.

Iorec:
You overhear more of the same about how the halfling wants to drop out of the contest. You're able to piece together that there is something of a romance between the two of them but eventually his stubborn nature kicks in and he stops even considering listening to the female human. You're also able to pick up their names. The female human is known as Illia and the halfling is known as Fatmire.

Has anyone seen Soulgambit around? He hasn't posted in a while.

male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13

Hm... Iorec thinks to himself, Why would she not let him decide whether or not to join the Breaching. Maybe she knows something or someone that could ensure his victory? A burst of laughter from somewhere else in the tavern interrupts the Varisian's thoughts. Ah well, maybe I am getting a little paranoid with all those ambitious arcanists and wizards and whathaveyou around here. My group seems capable, I'm sure we'll do nicely tomorrow.
Iorec pays his tab without much further contemplation or worries finds his bed and goes to rest.

Okay I'm going to move this along. Thanks for your patience and I'm sorry for not being on yesterday...car's fixed now

You all eventually make you're way back to the guest quarters on campus, except for Jorge how could have stayed the night with Seska if he so chose.

The Acadame wakes to a single sharp ringing of the campus bells at the break of dawn. While you're pretty sure that The Breaching Festival officially begins an hour after dawn, you soon hear the sound of eager spectators beginning to gather on the surrounding walls and the campus’s southern quad even before sunrise. You gather you're things and head out to meet infront of the Hall of Summoning.

Hundreds of common folk sit or stand atop the Acadamae’s southern walls, while vendors of refreshments and souvenirs wander nosily and often through the mass. Important observers, such as aristocrats
and other prominent locals and nobles, are allowed to gather at ground level among several large and colorful tents and pavilions erected overnight in the quad just south of the Hall of Summoning.

Fourty five minutes have passed since the bells origonally tolled to wake you up and a large group of nobles arrives to excessive fanfare. As the croud starts to part you see none other than Queen Ileosa and several royal attendants making their way into a tent that was reserved for them. The queen waves as the many people take notice of her but she looks generally disinterested in the days events. If you take a close look at her you even notice a book tucked under her arm.

Another ten minutes pass and then three of the four people you met in the headmasters office show up. The loud dwarf is flanked on either side by a female human and a male human. The female human looks rather upset and the male halfling that was with them the day before is no where to be seen.

Finally the bells toll the hour and Headmaster Toff Ornelos arrives in a blast of multicolored smoke. He lifts his hand to signal silence, and after the crowd quiets, he speaks aloud to the crowd, but especially to the contestants.

“Welcome one and all to this year’s Breaching Festival! I know the
contestants are eager to begin,so I shall keep this introduction short. This year, as every year, one must enter the Hall of Wards via its eastern entrance after solving several minor conundrums our professors and spellcasters have set up at the other seven halls that surround us. The first contestant to emerge from these doors”
Toff pauses to indicate the large doors in the Hall of Wards’ western facade, facing the quad "shall be declared the winner of the Breaching Festival. If no winner emerges by dusk, there can be no winner for this year’s festival. Yet should one of these brave contestants accomplish what no one has accomplished in over 150 years, that person will walk away with more than 150,000 gold sails!”

The crowd erupts into cheers for several seconds. When the roar dies down, Toff places his hands inside the front of his robe and withdraws a glowing, fist-sized sphere of shimmering light that he holds aloft. The sphere dances and bobs an inch above his upturned palm.

“These glowing spheres are the keys to your fate and fortune, worthy contestants. This is a key-light—there are seven of them hidden among the seven other Halls on the grounds. Each contestant needs his or her own key-light to get into the Hall of Wards. So find yourself a key-light, use it to enter the Hall of Wards, and you will have your chance to enter history!”

With that, Toff bows to the contestants, then signals to several other students standing nearby. They aim fireworks into the sky, and with a touch of magically conjured flame to fuses, a colorful set of pyrotechnic fire bursts signal the start of the Breaching Festival!

Okay so what hall do you guys want to visit first?

Rodolpho takes care to cast his armor spells to the teammates, or eidolons who need them. He casts an Extended Mage Armor on himself through his staff, and extended GMW's on both the monk and the eidolon. He also casts his two other Mage Armor spells, on the monk and eidolon as well.

"There, that should give you a little more oomph to your blows, and block a few of those attacks coming back your way," the mage says, smiling at his handiwork.

"I say we tackle the Hall of Divination first. I know my way around that place a little bit," Dolph suggests, remembering his past studies and the numerous hours at that particular hall.

OK, so the eidolon and the monk get +3 to attack and damage for the entire day. Dolph gets +4 to AC for the entire day, and the eidolon and monk get +4 to AC for 13 hours. My rod of lesser extend is done for the day.

"Sounds good to me" Iorec replies to Rodolpho's proposal. The Varisian has an eager sparkle in his eye and obviously can't wait to begin the contest. "One is as good as the others in my opinion so let's go and win us a legendary title!" he adds cheery and takes the lead, waiting after a few steps to see if the others are following.

FYI DM: Iorec has the Trap Spotter rogue talent and thus is entitled to an automatic Perception check (+22) to notice any traps within 10 ft. PFSRD

Any spells I need to add to this for people? I can still change things for a little while and this seems the easiest way to do this since we cannot talk in person.

Just waiting for Jorge and Babkas to respond.

Jorge does indeed stay the night with Seska if she asks the suave skinny man. He then arrives at the festival, a bit dishevel but no worse then wear, riding on Tylonicks back, waving to the crowd as he makes his way to his team. "Morning all. Hope everyone got a good night sleep!" He chuckles, Tylonick snorts a little. "I'm all ready to go, the divination hall sounds good. Perhaps we'll see a little bit of what's to lay ahead!" He says with a wry grin, while combing his hair back into place with his fingers.

Rodolpho:

I don't think GMW works on natural weapons. Reason I took GMF.

Ah, good point. I know someone else needed GMW. Who was it again?

Nothing to see here:

Okay so the party enters the hall of divination also known as the hall of seeing. You appraoch the entry way and you see a pair of doors displaying giant harrow cards. On the right harrow card you see an image of Seska and Jorge from the night before. I won't say what they're doing but you can use you're imagination.

As you enter you will find spheres, crystal balls, scrying pools, and mirrors litter nearly every corner of this all and as you make your way into the hall you see a rather large painting on the wall of young female human. Inscribed on a gold name plate is the name Norva Allesain.

Hope you don't mind me having a little fun here Jorge.

"Jorge, you sly dog. Did you make a friend?"

Dolph tries to recall if the name or the person in the portrait is familiar to him.

The priest raises an eyebrow at the doorway's lecherous display.

"Well, at least you appear to be in good health, my boy,"

That said, the priest slowly examines the room for the key or anything else interesting.

Iorec comments the image of Seska and Jorge with nothing more than a knowing smile and a wink towards Jorge.
"Well then, I think we should concentrate our energies on this woman now..." he states ambiguously and after browsing the room swiftly takes a good look at the large painting.

Jorge blinks a little. Hey hey hey! That's not right at all! Hmmph!" Tylonick just gives a goofish grin and snickers. "Ha ha ha." Jorge frowns, hitting his Eidolon's side, then wincing, shaking his bruised hand. "Let's focus on the task at hand, not last night please." He peers at the other doorwar, at the woman.

Man I love being a DM sometimes...who says I don't tie my characters into the story line.

Antinous and Rodolpho thanks to your research last night you're both able to recognize the woman as the dean of the hall of divination. After another minute Iorec and Antinous are able to spot something. The building's two main hallways meet in a 15-foot-diameter circular room with a domed ceiling above. The walls of this room are decorated with sevral tall(floor to ceiling) mirrors. Reflected in the mirrors is an orange ball that floats off the ground by about four feet and looks to be in the center of the room. As you look into the center of the room there is no ball there. You are pretty sure the ball in the reflections is one of the key-lights you need.

Does anyone approach the mirror with the reflection?

male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13

Iorec, baffled by the discrepancy between the reflections in the mirror and the actual room points this out to the others by saying: "Look at those mirrors. Do you see the orange ball in the reflection? It seems as if it were here in the room as well." Slowly and carefully he walks towards the spot where the key-light would be in the actual room according to the mirrors. "Somewhere around here... maybe it is veiled to our eyes by some kind of illusion?" He carefully sweeps the supposed location of the magical light with his rapier to find out if something invisible is hidden there.

Still a Trap Spotter, +29 vs traps :) If Iorec doesn't find anything in the room's center he will turn his attention towards the mirror with the reflection in it.
