Equipment added, and the 125 weight you already have in there works for my character.
Aardvark DM |
Thank you all for filling that in. I went through and expanded on some equipment that was consolidated, like kits, so if you lose, drop, sell, or leave at home to reduce weight any gear, they can be tracked individually.

The sacks are a little more than about twice the size of a belt pouch, and stuffed with a heavy, somewhat malleable, material. The tops are tightly bound shut, and would need to be cut to be opened.

Tasha (and the others), to answer your question in the gameplay, the only newcomer we had thus far was introduced by Rexus when the group first met up for their very first mission before the decision to actually be a rebellion started.
Most of what makes up the thing is supporters, which are not necessarily a part of the organization. The only other outsiders they've added were Rexus, who started it, Laria, a friend of Rexus' mother, and the Fushi sisters who were found living in Laria's hideaway. No you did not overstep, as a supporter could very well have been passing off a surprisingly accurate rumor. As Rexus has not made an appearance to you guys, I can have him step in and let it be known that you have been vetted by him.
I wasn't thinking about the tensions in strangers stepping in and claiming knowledge of the group's goings on.

Sorry, guys, was just reacting how Dawni would - I meant to post in here to say that I'm not really a jerk, but she's just lost someone on the day people show up to our "secret base".
Tasha Valenti |
Hey guys! Just posting to let you know, I'm without electricity for the next couple of days, so I won't be able to post. I'll try and get something up at least before the big holidays, but I might also be a bit scarce then.
Tasha Valenti |
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! I wish you all a wonderful time, lots of joy and overflowing plates!
I'll be back to regular schedule soon, and I'm looking forward to it!
Dawnilea Harpefax |
Hope Santa was good to everyone!
Dawnilea Harpefax |
Maybe we can just knock and ask if the captured mercenaries can come out to play?
Aardvark DM |
Heads up, I will be having cataract surgery tomorrow in one of my eyes. As such I will not likely be reading/writing much soon after. I may be silent this week (at the least).
Krizta |
Thanks for the heads up. I hope you are able to recover quickly.
Dawnilea Harpefax |
I'll be away starting tomorrow until the end of the month. Please bot Dawni as needed.
Aardvark DM |
Enjoy your weekend gaming extravaganza.

Danwni's preference would have been, once we realized that we were dealing with a closed compound, to find the displaced workers who are probably bitter and see if a bitter tongue could be set to wagging with a drink or two -- however -- I was away (OOC) and, even without that, she's outvoted -- so I think that course of action can wait 'til our "return" and so we proceed with the "rejoin the others" part of the plan.

Hello all! I'm just dropping in a message that I'll be quite busy this week, so bot me if necessary. I'd love to participate in the discussion, but work is crazy. Hopefully it'll go back to normal by the end of the work week!
Aardvark DM |
Yes, I got it, sorry, meant to respond. It's all cool, I understand.
For the others, though, Zoltan will be unable to continue with us going forward, and has had to excuse himself from the game.
Zoltan the Crippled |
Ok, thanks for your understanding.
Thanks to you all. It was a great pleasure playing with you. Unfortunately, things are too busy in real life and I must reduce the number of PbP I'm in dramatically.
P.S.: DM, when you get a chance, please remove me from the list of active player in the Campaign Info tab.

Running into a few rule issues with your movement, Ganner.
Though the rules say you can move "through" the space of a creature 3 sizes smaller, it doesn't change the rule that "You can't end your movement in the same square as another creature unless it is helpless.".
Also, the fact that "Taking this 5-foot step never provokes an attack of opportunity", but it's not the step provoking, it's that "Creatures moving through squares occupied by other creatures provoke attacks of opportunity from those creatures."
Although it says "A Fine, Diminutive, or Tiny creature can move into or through an occupied square.", it is the only rule that clarifies "into" and I believe that is purely to make allowances for the fact that they typically MUST in order to attack in melee. Even then they provoke.

Traveling for the week, but booked a place with wifi. So, as long as my laptop cooperates, I should be able to post regularly. More than usual, potentially, given I have nothing much else to do after work each day. :)
Dawnilea Harpefax |
Dealing with a hospitalized father -- sorry about the spotty posting -- will try to get into a more regular habit.
Aardvark DM |
Sorry, I had access, but it was very spotty, and wasn't reliable enough to not piss me off if I lost a post, not to mention I had less time that I thought. The combination of the two made my posting limited. Then, since my return, been busy catching up with work and plumbing issues at home.
Krizta |
My posting will be inconsistent and perhaps nonexistent between now and the 15th while I am moving. Packing up the truck today, and should be in Utah and able to post again consistently (hopefully) around then.
Please bot me as needed. I might be able to post in the interim, but just not sure when, and can't guarantee it. Sorry.

At my new place; still have to unpack, but posting should be back to normal by tomorrow. Thanks for the patience.

My computer took a dump this week, been working on getting it back.
Dawnilea Harpefax |
Ugh, been there. Never good.
Bardigan Cain |
Sorry to hear that, Aard. The most recent Windows Update took me down for 3 days, so I feel your pain, brother!
Also, forgive any tardiness in my posting in the coming weeks. Today was my last day at my office and I have to be out of my apartment by the end of July. I have much scrambling ahead of me!
Krizta |
Flying to Vancouver in the morning to help my brother. Not sure if I will have a chance to post from there or not, so might be essentially offline until the 4th. Apologies for the late notice. Please bot me as needed.

It was the windows update that did me in. Problem I had is a bad habit of not keeping a backup and not finding my recovery disk for the longest time. I'm back now, so back to my regular speedy rate of once or twice a week ;)
Dawnilea Harpefax |
We should probably set up a few other "standard procedures" as things come up just to avoid confusion and having us get flattened because, for instance, we didn't set a watch while camping. ;)
Aard, if we make such a list in here, would that be enough (and how much detail about how we do those things would you need)?
Aardvark DM |
Proactive lists work for me (I already have a macro for everyone's stealth checks), as long as it doesn't become too much coverage. Ganner and Bardigan already said a while ago that all unarmed strikes are NL unless said otherwise (which is why Ganner did NL to one of the creatures).
Order of watch
Always stealth after curfew
When botted default to [single action type], (I'm not trying to play the character fully)
Basically anything that will happen regularly enough to warrant calling an "always assumed" action. Though I am not a fan of constants that make me the default actor on your part "I always search each room" means I will always be rolling your active perception checks, which just feels too close to me like I'm just playing all but the RP part of your PC.
Most of the SOP's you list I will put in the campaign tab for me to remember, and will tell you if I find it too cumbersome for me as a GM to track on top of the rest of the adventure.
Dawnilea Harpefax |
Exactly -- I meant things like watch order, the auto-sneak after curfew -- basically, the common-sense things. I don't think it makes sense to search every room as a default (largely because of time issues) - but beyond that, yes, I can see how you don't want to effectively autopilot us through everything.
So, excellent.
