I don't think there's a non-lethal CDG, since the CDG is taking a killing blow.
That said, the grapple rules allow us to freely tie up someone who is helpless or unconsicous, which would include any sleeper.
Tie Up: If you have your target pinned, otherwise restrained, or unconscious, you can use rope to tie him up. This works like a pin effect, but the DC to escape the bonds is equal to 20 + your Combat Maneuver Bonus (instead of your CMD). The ropes do not need to make a check every round to maintain the pin. If you are grappling the target, you can attempt to tie him up in ropes, but doing so requires a combat maneuver check at a –10 penalty. If the DC to escape from these bindings is higher than 20 + the target's CMB, the target cannot escape from the bonds, even with a natural 20 on the check.
Since it's CMB-based, it should probably be Dawni who does it, as I think she's best at it -- I know that seems metagame, but I think we'd all be aware of our abilities, and in game terms, she's strong enough to make the good knots while still being agile enough to manage them. ;)
I assume we can throw in a gag as part of the process, but that would be up to the GM.
Of course, Dawnilea might not love cutting up her 50' rope with grapnel, but that's the only real issue, I think.

Hey, guys! I'm just letting you know I'm going on a holiday for the next couple of weeks. I probably won't be able to post a lot over the first one, but I'll try and keep up, although I might be a bit briefer than usual.
Absolutely do bot me if need be, I'd hate to slow the game down.
Cheers!

Aardvark DM |

Ideally, with the outage ended, posting can return to normal.

Aardvark DM |

Looks like I spoke too soon last time.
I went looking for it, but couldn't find it. What did you guys do with the toothless body of the small tiefling child that was wrapped in the 'summoning-marked' sinews. You moved to the task of destroying the critters into the stinky goo, but I'm not sure what happened to the child's body. Also, did you guys keep one of the things alive to study, or destroy them all. If you kept one, who has it?

Dawnilea Harpefax |

We did kill off the beasties, and I think Bardigan's suggestion for the corpse was a good one.

Aardvark DM |

I updated the loot list with all that was found so far, but not all is being taken (unless you remove the thugs' worn armor, and since they were manacled to their beds).
Light blue means known magic, but unidentified.
All items with unknown variables (and some with known), can all be identified by some means, Appraise checks, Spellcrafts with Detect Magic, or even Craft checks of the appropriate item type (for things like special materials or masterwork, or alchemy).
Ideally, I would like the loot list more often utilized. I put what gear and loot is on each enemy, but it is up to you guys to tell me what you are taking, and what you are leaving behind. Also, there is stuff in there you guys could put to good use, but is currently probably just resting in a pile in the Wasp's Nest.
If possible, could you mark in the "Carried by" column, anything that you guys DON'T take while looting. That allows me to just delete it and clean up the list.

Dawnilea Harpefax |

As long as the cheap thug armour isn't magical, we can leave it -- though, in the vein of 'take away the enemy's capacity to wage war", I wouldn't be above leaving it broken and useless.
Also, thanks for the work, Aard -- I'll admit I haven't looked since way back after the first mission -- but I'm thinking we're probably packing as much of it up as possible and hiding it to be picked up on the way out.
Realistically, Dawni doesn't want to be slowed while on the mission, but she can go to a medium load on the way out without too much hassle (and still be able to sneak back) -- which gives her the ability to pack on 150 lbs above her own gear.
Of course, if anyone has an Ant Haul spell, then Dawnilea's light load skyrockets to 350 lbs, meaning she could carry everything we've found to date, plus a bit more.

Krizta |

The carried by column is not editable, at least for me. Sorry. I wouldn't mind some manacles and maybe other things.
Happy to roll to identify anything that is magical--just didn't think this point in the story was ideal for that, but let me know if you want me to roll anyway. :)

Dawnilea Harpefax |

Agreed. Though I'd make an exception for potions.

Krizta |

Well, how about I put some rolls here, and we can fit them in wherever the DM feels that we have the time?
____________
Krizta, seeing that they have a little bit of time, casts Detect Magic and looks over the party loot to see if any of it is magical.
After identifying some magical items, she attempts to narrow down the exact use:
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
and a few more for good measure, since I have no idea how many things might be magical:
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
I suppose we can use the rolls in the future if that was too many.

Aardvark DM |

Sorry, Krizta, I totally forgot I have the treasure tab locked because I have the full info of each item in hidden columns. Nevermind the "carried by" comment.
Also, I'll have to remember to come back and check for your rolls when you guys get time to look things over. Thank you for the pre-rolls.
Mostly, I was referring to the oft-unused checks:
Perception can be used to ID potions
Spellcraft (w/o Detect Magic) can ID scrolls
Appraise or the appropriate Craft can ID Masterwork items or Special Materials.

Krizta |

Ah, makes sense. More pre-rolls then, for the lesser-used checks to identify items:
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Appraise: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Appraise: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Appraise: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Appraise: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Appraise: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
The spellcraft rolls above can be used with or without detect magic, but let me know if we need more. :)

Tasha and Ganner, are the two of you still with us? Haven't seen a post from either of you in almost a month.

Ganner Viir |

Honestly, this month was kind of a mess for me personally and I've lost the plot for this game. I'm not sure where we are in the plot and it feels like I'm not sure what we're doing or where we're going. (To be honest, I ran Hell's Vengeance and my players got into and felt much the same way about that one. Narratively this doesn't feel like Paizo's best year.)
Any ideas?

We are presently raiding the salt works to free a mercenary band from captivity. In doing so, we hope to earn their loyalty, or at least a favor or two while at the same time giving the state a black eye.
It's dark and well after curfew, so getting caught and having the dottari summoned would be bad.

Dawnilea Harpefax |

Seems like an excellent summary. ;)

Krizta |

I am moving to Texas next week, and won't be able to post for sure Monday-Thursday, and it just depends on what is going on whether I will be able to post the rest of the week. Hopefully will be back up and normal on Monday the 29th latest, since I start my new job that day, so things have to be resolved at least that much.
Please bot me as needed.

Aardvark DM |

Okay, this has sadly become an inevitability that I tried to fight. I know I post slowly and keep a very relaxed pace, but I no longer have the time I used to have when I started all my games. I had been at 16 at one point, cut it down to 6 or 7, and now find I just can't maintain the games I run. I apologize for being just another campaign that dies here, and I thank all of you that have put up with me as a GM for so long.

Krizta |

No worries. Glad for the time that we had. It was totally fun.
