HP: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Taking another level in Scoundrel. I'm going to take Skill Focus (Use Computers) with my Level 3 Feat and Skill Focus (Mechanics) with my Scoundrel Bonus Feat.
And with the changes to using incremental BAB, mine goes to +2 from +0 which probably doesn't matter since I'm not able to attack living things, but is still notable.

I think I want to do a little more with lightsaber combat, even though he isnt too strong or dexterous, lol. The lightsaber powers look pretty neat though.

Leveling complete, 2nd level in Scoundrel gave a bonus feat (Precise Shot) and I took Rapid Shot as my level 3 feat.

Skills: No change

Hey guys,
I'm sorry for the constant posting delays. I don't have any good reason for them, and I definitely don't think that my delays are fair to you.
I'm leaving it up to you for continuing. If you guys want to keep the campaign going, we'll keep it going. If the posting delays have gotten to be too much and you'd rather end it, we'll do so, no hard feelings (I hope). Let me know your thoughts (or, if no one answers, I'll take your silence as your answer).
Thanks.

NT-2B |

I am certainly not good with posting every day, either, so I have no complaints or right to complain. I'm definitely up for continuing, but I know that not everyone likes a slower game, so I'd accept it if no one else is interested.

Daaneth Qilat |

I am also fine with a slower pace game. I have a number of games with more demanding post rates and it's nice to have one that isn't always breathing down my neck.
That said, apologies if this last post was waiting on me, I'd thought I responded to it already.

Jace Concorkill |

To be fair though, should we look for updates on a weekly basis, a monthly basis? A timeframe would be appreciated before a decision is made.

I thinkt he hardest part of a disassembled lightsaber to get away with would be the focusing crystal. All the mechanical parts would he simple to pass off if you present yourself as the ship mechanic or something similar, but if I remember my lore correctly, the saber crystals, unless they were synthetically created, are only found on a couple planets that were heavily regulated by the former Jedi Order. If the guards doing the searching knew what to look for, either by serving with Jedi in the war or informed by their superiors, it would be a quick indicator of either being or harboring a Jedi.

GM Phntm888 |

Currently yes. Almost all lightsaber crystals come from Ilum. Part of the trials to become a Knight are traveling to the planet to get your crystal and then constructing it.
However, crystals can come from other sources. Mace Windu's violet crystal came from his home planet in Star Wars lore, and in Luke's Jedi Order post-Endor, a bunch of Jedi have crystals from different sources. Corran Horn actually used a Durindfire gemstone for his silver-bladed lightsaber. It can also be difficult to tell a lightsaber focusing crystal from a gemstone without the Force.
There's no reason for someone to be suspicious unless they recognize that all of the components could combine to make a lightsaber. The ship is also subject to a search, not your individual person, so they would have no reason to search Jeren unless he did something suspicious.

Question: The rifle is illegal to have on the surface of the planet, I get that, but is it also illegal just to have on board? If it is I'm all for hiding it, but I thought the stipulation was that we just couldn't carry it off the Dwarf.

Dibs on Bounty Hunter license. (Just kidding). Although I am slightly uncertain of what transport of illegal goods and hunting people down specifically to murder them will mean to NT-2B. I suppose there can be a "greater good" argument for some things, but probably not everything. It'll be interesting for sure.
Also, FYI I will be away from the 2nd until the 9th as I'll be at GenCon. Feel free to bot (teehee) me as necessary.

I'll leave the smuggling to sneakier hands than mine, but as to the bounty hunting, a lot of them take their captives alive, then there are various rescue missions that the 'officials' don't care enough about to undertake that bounty hunters can find. Things like that. Specifically for us, the license would help at least one of us carry heavier hardware planet-side in the systems where they are acknowledged, and we get a bit more leeway with the citizens and some officials on the down-low.

NT-2B |

then there are various rescue missions that the 'officials' don't care enough about to undertake that bounty hunters can find.
Good point! That would definitely be a really cool angle.

Just a reminder, I'll be on vacation starting tomorrow until the 8th (EST). I mightp be able to post but will more than likely be saving battery energy for any potential emergencies.

Storyteller Shadow |

I will be away from the boards for a few days due to a surgery my daughter is getting tomorrow. I will probably be posting again on Friday. Bot me as needed till then.

So, credits-wise, everyone except for Jeren gets approximately 1667 credits. Jeren gets approximately 667 credits due to his taking the amethyst as part of his payment.
Should we perhaps put some of the money towards ship repairs and additions? I think we have already discussed something along those lines, but I may very well be mistaken.

NT-2B |

I just looked because I couldn't remember, either, and it looks like we had previously agreed on 20% to the ship.

F. Castor |

Hmm... In that case I am assuming 20% of the full 10000 credits (9000 in credits and 1000 that the amethyst is worth), so 2000 go to the ship's fund?
If so, 8000 split six ways would be 1333 credits for everyone except for Jeren, who gets the amethyst and 333 credits.
Does that sound about right?

Daaneth Qilat |

Sounds good to me, thanks for doing the math!
Is this our first deposit into the ship fund? I would search the thread but I'm on mobile and for some reason the search function always bugs out on my phone.

NT-2B |

I believe we did do the 20% before (which was 2,000) when we were discussing it, but nothing since then? So this would put our ship fund at 4,000. As established though, things are expensiiiiiive.
I need to start looking into "upgrades" for NT-2B, I suppose, but otherwise he has no real need for wealth / material things, so I might donate some of his money to the ship as well.

Still say we need to get you some battle droid programming so you can harm us fleshy meatbags.
Anyway, 1333 creds sounds good to me. GM, can't remember if I asked before, but how much would it take to install a knife into my prosthetic arm?
