Well, looks like you guys just took an interesting turn. Sorry for the delay, my boss's position was eliminated and his last day was Monday. We've kind of been feeling our way in the dark with how to handle a few things that he had always dealt with.

Yeah...when I designed the villa, I thought to myself, "Likar Molch is the kind of person who'd receive everyone in his throne room." So, the only way to his quarters is the throne room.

It made sense at the time, especially since I didn't think you'd split the party.

Yeah, no, it's totally reasonable, and if I was any other character I'd be like, "He's alone in the Throne room? F~%* it, let's take him out." But that's obviously not... what NT-2B would do.

Yep, sometimes players are just waiting for the DM while the DM is waiting or the players, happen to me at least once a week in the games I run. :-)

I thought that we were going to try and get the items not waiting for everyone to get there so that we could leave again??? We did a more than a month for that?

I will admit you kinda lost me.

As far as I can tell we were supposed to go to either the hangar or the front door (probably the hangar given NT-2B's suggestion) to investigate for a secret path of sorts to the stash. We did not actually have to wait for the others to come as well to get this done, but I was under the impression they were coming to lend a hand, not fetch us so that we can all leave. If that were the case, I am assuming Jace, Jeren and NT-2B would have gone to the hangar without simply waiting around in the... well, waiting room for the others to arrive as well. They were actually no longer in the waiting room, having left after the impasse with Molch's droid and we're going to follow on NT-2B's calculations.

Of course, not all tasks and quests succeed (you win some, you lose some), I realize that, but I am a bit confused as to what happened. Still, I will go with what the majority wants, but we were quite close to the items (I think anyway).

Nevertheless, even if we do indeed leave (we do after all have a deadline of sorts with that guy on that other planet; both names escape me now), I can use this failure with Jeren's growth as a character. Perhaps things would have gone differently if he had revealed himself as well, perhaps it would have added more weight to Jace's claims about the importance of those items, could it be partly his fault that they failed, should he have done something differently, etc. That sort of thing. :-)

Daaneth and Vessani both made posts suggesting that they would rather leave than collect the artifacts but came to help because after suggesting it several times over comms, no one was budging. Given that the first thing Jeren said when we got back together was to return to the hangers, it shouldn't be surprising that either of our PC's said what they did. Just because my PC holds an opinion doesn't mean he can't be convinced otherwise.

What he said. Vessani actually thought you all had changed your minds when Jeren said to head towards the hanger. Otherwise he would have reluctantly decided to help this caper along, if only to get out of here sooner.

Ah, now I see. This does clarify things. I kinda expected NT-2B to elaborate a bit, which is why I had Jeren look pointedly at him/it when he mentioned the hangar.

Nope. Jeren wanted to go the hangar because that is where NT-2B thinks the most probable place for a hidden entrance is. He will not be pressing the matter if everyone else wants to leave, but he would prefer it if the artifacts are... liberated.

So, I'll post a reminder about this when it gets closer but I figured the earlier I give a heads up the better.

From August 1st to August 8th I'll be out camping. My phone will be with me but since we'll be in the mountains I don't know what kind of service I'll have, and I will also have no way of charging it, so if I am able to get online in the evenings it will likely be just for the first couple days of the week.

I was going to go into the Independent Droid prestige class at 3rd, but since we haven't really set it up yet in the context of the fiction, I'm pretty likely to push it back and go further into Scoundrel first.

I need to look into Feats and see what's useful for me, so it might be a couple of days before I'm updated.

Basically 3/4th BAB progression is ordinarily 0, +1, +2, +3, +3, +4, etc. Which is fine except if you multiclass, because of the breakpoints. Eg: As Noble 1 / Scoundrel 1, my BAB is actually 0, because it's +0 from each of them.

With Incremental, each level is actually treated as 0.75, which means that as Noble 1 / Scoundrel 1, I'll actually have 1.5, which rounds down to 1.

If I went for Level 3 into the prestige class, I'd ordinarily have BAB of 0 still, because 0 from Noble, 0 from Scoundrel, 0 from Independent Droid. With Incremental, I'd have +0.75 from each, which would be 2.25, so I'd actually have a BAB of +2. Which is much more reasonable for a Level 3 character than having +0.

tldr; it makes the penalties for multiclassing less hurtful.

Been looking at what I'm wanting to do with Vessani. I'm gonna go with the Gunslinger prestige class, and was thinking, should I go for a two-blaster build? Also, how often are we gonna be in a space battle? I'm caught between getting Dual Weapon Master I or Weapon Proficiency (Heavy Weapons) as my 3rd level feat.
