FYI: I am getting married this Saturday, so will most likely not be around online after tomorrow (Friday 5/9/14) morning. Feel free to bot me as needed. I will likely be back online Tuesday or Wednesday.

Beauregard Jorasco |

My Mother called. She is going to need my help with things a lot more now. If you need me to do something, please 'bot' me for the next few days. I should know in a day or two if I am going to need to bow out permanently.

Beauregard Jorasco |

Unfortunately, nothing much has been resolved over the weekend, so I still don't really know just how much I am (or am not) going to need to curtail my postings. I should know by this time tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.

Beauregard Jorasco |

So still nothing is really resolved, but right now, playing online here is pretty much the only thing I have keeping me from yelling & tearing my hair out. If you guys can put up with me, I'm gonna be here.
On a positive note, my son was invited to the National Junior Honor Society.

Beauregard Jorasco |

Sorry all. I'm going to post, just incredibly weary after a long conversation with my ex about our son last light, capped this morning with witnessing/reporting an attempted sexual assault on my way to work.
Really, really drained right now.

Engineer #3 |

FYI everyone: I will be away in sunny Curacao from Wednesday the 25th until Wednesday the 2nd. I will have my phone with me, but since I'll be on my honeymoon, I don't know just how much posting I'll be doing.

Engineer #3 |

Thanks, all.
Curacao was a blast...didn't get cooler than like 27C and the water is as blue (and clear) as you can imagine from postcards.
We even saw sea turtles on our snorkel trip (even if they didn't want to swim with me...)

Beauregard Jorasco |

Sooo...
I received a call this evening that a dear friend died today. On his birthday, no less.
I'm not sure exactly how this is going to affect me, but if I wind up going longer than you need, please go ahead & 'bot' me.

Indeed, that's sad news. All the best.
On to game topic, Shadow , last post you promised an updated map...a month ago. Is everything ok with you in RL as well? Just wondering, as I've really enjoyed this campaign and would hate to see it end prematurely.

Beauregard Jorasco |

So I finished an interview this afternoon after finishing the written portion of my Final exam...
And they offered me the job. All things go well, I will be starting full time as an HVAC technician trainee on the nineteenth.
The down side is that my free time will be drastically curtailed. It shouldn't be enough the I have to start paring down games, but it is likely that my posting rate will drop, possibly to as little as once a day or so.

Beauregard Jorasco |

Ok. My new job starts tomorrow. As I mentioned earlier, I have to get up quite a bit earlier than I have been for some time & won't be able to check things online until I get out of work in the afternoon/evening. Consequently, my posting is likely only going to be in the evenings except some times during the weekends.

Sorry for irrupting in your AP like this.
I just saw you are lacking some activity here, so I wanted to checkout if you are interested into continue playing the adventure.
I want to start GMing a Shackled City campaign, and thought before starting yet another campaign, I can help continue an existing one.
Thus, I just wanted to know what is the state by everyone, if you are up to continue, what are the problems that have made this one to stagger and let know Shadowwalker if he is still intending to run this one that I can give a hand or two to continue the adventure.
Best regards,
Rutseg

Nice to see most of you are still around and interested in the game.
My intention would be to keep up your game while Shadowwalker is off. Then once he cames back we can talk about it, maybe he has interest/time to devote to it again, maybe we can run it together.
I am trying to give a fast read about what happened with you until now and get familiar with your backgrounds. I will appreciate though if you can summarize the most important things.
My two RL campaigns are set in Eberron, so I am most than familiar with the setting and will have no big trouble to continue in.
That said, I have recently gone more and more over Pathfinder, and find some rules much better on this slightly different system. Thus, it is probable if the game flourishes again that I will check with you the possibility to transfer to the PF ruleset, at least partially.
I will try to make the game fun for everybody, but you will see differences in style between me and Shadowwalker, I am sure, so please, it is important to me you give me feedback about your feelings at every moment and let me know what parts are making you attached to the game and what is making you bore. In particular, I can imagine because it is a homebrew adaptation to Eberron, the game has distanced from the AP often. I am more about sticking to the AP as much as I can in order to lessen the already large amount of work that GMing represents.
I am also a lot about delaying or GMing characters in order to push the game and not letting it stagger.
Finally, I will give you a small task. Write me down a paragraph about the game so far, what you have liked, what not, both about the AP and about the way the game was developing.
Additionally, I would like to have another paragraph about your feelings and thoughts about your Character. I am particularly keen to open the possibility for you to modify or switch characters if that will help increase your interest into the game.
And I will appreciate if you can attach some info about what parts of the plot you have unveiled.
So the homework summary:
1) Feelings about the AP so far
2) Feelings about your character
3) What parts of the plot have been unveiled
That said, making this game to move again is mostly in your roof now, I am in :)

AP: seems fun. A little unfocused thus far. From what I recall, we investigated some missing people which led us to a goblin and undead infested dungeon.
Character: I like Engineer #3. He's actively trying to underunderstand meta-humanity and fit in with his comrades. He doesn't understand why foes won't surrender when faced with inevitable destruction.
Plot: here I'm very much in the dark. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of connection at this point.
