To Mystwalkur. Bored? If you want to go for a walk, there's this board that we can easily extend off the side of the ship. :) (just joking)

Mystwalkur wrote:
I will not stay in cheliaxian very long, I will stay on or close to the ship, being harvested for my organs doesn't fit well into my travel plans.

Slavery, a house pet, would come to mind.

Mystwalkur wrote:
Do I still have, my own gold and such? Hmm a mystery, good I was board. I can only figure one of the other passengers is of the same career path as me so I will start paying closer attention to their movements.

You have all of your equipment that you came on ship with.

Mystwalkur wrote:
is there an ultimate purpose to this voyage? are we trying to get to someplace specific or are we just randomly creating our own game play from day to day?

The port-of-call part of the journey was meant to be talked through in 5 minutes. I threw something out there to see how new players played their characters, and I learned a lot. See your email. Mark wanted a blurp about every port. I'm now going to skip through the rest.

During the travel or other port-o-call stops, I essentially sing for my supper and to get what coin I can. are there any rumors that sound lucrative? I also figure my search for half-elf parents would be a failure.

In all the ports the ship picks up supplies.
Corentyn, Cheliax.
Ilizmagorti, Mediogalti island. Pick up a human female, Sasha Nevah.
Ollo, Shackles.
Quent, Shackles.
Port Peril, Shackles. Pick up elf female, Aerys Mavato.
Bloodcove, Mwangi Expanse. Pick up human male, Ishiro.

A storm over runs the Jenivere, the ship hits a reef. The ship splits in two dumping everything into the sea. You wake up on the shore. Your gear is piled up. The lines in the sand from the waterline to the gear, shows that someone dragged the gear out of the water and placed it high on the beach. You notice that there are lines in the sand from the waterline to each person, showing that each one of you have been dragged to your location.

Who's on the beach:
Mystwalkur
Rokko
Brown Deer
Ms.Adventure
Evan
(The fighter)
Sasha Nevah
Aerys Mavato
Ishiro
The hooded man is playing in the water.

This is what you see when you wake up.

Who can talk to who:
Mystwalkur:

Spoiler:
Evan, ( Msadventure and Aerys Mavato speak elf which you have not yet.)

Rokko:
Spoiler:
the fighter, Sasha Nevah

Brown Deer:
Spoiler:
the hooded man

Ms.Adventure:
Spoiler:
Aerys Mavato

Evan
The fighter
The hooded man
Sasha Nevah
Aerys Mavato
Ishiro

I search for my horse.

I whistle for my dog

The raven, the horse, the raccoon, the dog are also on the beach near the equipment.

Other than the drag marks from the water are there any other tracks leading away from the water

I make sure my dog is ok. then watch and listen for signs inland and up and down the beach.

Check my supplies. Scout around 300 feet radius or so. Find a place to set up camp and tether my horse, lay our my gear, food and horse feed to dry if it isn't still raining. What is the time of day? Between which ports did this happen?

Speaking in Taldane:
Does anyone know precisely where we are?

Check my belonging to make sure I have my bow & arrows, sword and food for my dog. What time of year is it. other than now being wet is it cold? If it is cold has anyone made a fire? If there is no fire and not particularly cold Then find a sheltered place or thicket off of the open beach where my dog and I can hide.

Oh is it day or night . if it is day I don't hide

At any of the ports or evenings on ship where I entertained, were any of the people here friendly then? what did I sense or perceive about any of them?

If it is morning and until it seem there is a plan being discussed that I can understand; I'll brush my dog and clean the sand out of my gear.

Oh and listen

By the way I had tried to make a post three times and lost all but the previous one, each one got shorter with less detail.

Carol Yager wrote:

No. There is a single pair of foot prints going back to the water.

Carol Yager wrote:

Because of statements made about your character in regards to Cheliax, you did not find an audience on ship. Once you entered the Shackles, that depends on song subject matter.

Using game mechanics to answer your question, the PC/ NPC/ animal companions have no HP damage. But, it was a rough night -- of what you can remember...

The bored fighter and Sasha responds to you, everyone else wears a face of confusion. Rokko roll 2 perception checks The fighter suggest high ground for camp. Sasha points out that everyone has their armor/ weapons, there is no fresh water, as for food, "We can eat the animals if necessary."

It is early summer.
You awake in the morning.
No longer raining, but 50% cloudy skies.
All the players have their equipment as on their sheets.
The shipwreck happened between Bloodcove and Senghor.

The lay of the land:
Looking out to sea, you see what is left of the Jenivere on the reef.
Looking up and down the beach, The beach archs away from you to the left and right, on the beach you see pieces of the Jenivere but no crew members.
Looking in land, to leave the beach one must go up a steep hill. Once at the top, Rokko you see jungle.

Evan walks around to everyone, talking in halfling, you get the impression that his' asking a question.

Should the DM know something?

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 41d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

After camp is set up, Saddle my horse and pack my gear. Leave the tent set up. Horse feed, bedroll and blanket left in tent. Ride out.

Speaking in Taldane:
I'm going to scout for fresh water. Does anyone want to come and assist?

Survival check 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15.

hehheh he would probably enjoy it, go for a double forward with half back flip and a solute

Well at least one of the gods has a pretty good sense of humor, I mean how much more exciting can it get? Now this is adventure, or maybe the gnome had powerful friends :)
I will send my raven up high and get as best an impression as I can of the lay of the land, I will see if I can locate fresh water as well. To everyone who is on the beach I will just be sitting and staring out to see while I concentrate on Shadow.

I too will set about drying out my gear and cloths after my look around with Shadow.

The bird by the way is a close personal friend of whom I could not dream of in a stew pot, however I hear man taste pretty good slow brazed over an open fire :)

the last statement was in elvish

The fighter and Sasha give each other an odd look, then follow you. Straight from the beach, after 2 hours you come to the jungle edge. You see a large bay with an inlet to the bay.

Spoiler:
Shadow 'tells' you: no fresh water, many ships under water, humans in the south-west

Aerys, who is elf, gives you 'the look'.

Where did you set up camp?

Near the shore, but above the tide and storm flood lines. If there are trees find an open spot with unobstructed view of the shore. If there is Jungle, clear a small spot.

If its running and clear (I can see the bottom and there's no apparent monsters in it), I let my horse drink. I would assume that one of my three waterskins would likely be empty, so fill it. Then return to camp.

If its running but not clear or running very slowly, then wait and observe after skipping some rock on the surface to see if any monsters jump up, then tie some twine to a heavy enough piece of flotsam to throw out 30 feet or so and troll in a jerking motion back to shore, also to see if a monster jumps. If no monsters and no other apparent hazards, then let me horse drink and refill my waterskin before returning to camp.

in elvish:
That's a little too ... brazen for me.

I then give a smirky smile.

I keep forgetting to change the drop down so that I post as my character. sorry. still getting used to this board format.

You have beach (sand), a steep hill up (hard rock), and jungle (well...Jungle). So, are you on the beach or on the highland jungle.

The inlet is a break in the land between the sea and the bay, the bay is saltwater. From the highland jungle edge, where you first approached the bay, you can see 50' down into the water of the bay. You can not see the bottom. No monsters. To get to the bay, you must go down a steep hill to the beach surrounding the bay.

well, in that case... top of the hill. clear out a 5 ft or so area of jungle undergrowth for my tent.

well lets get fire wood, rope, wood, food and cloth.

The hooded man draws in the sand with a stick.
Ishiro stands in one spot observing everything.
Aerys digs through her gear and pulls out a bottle and begins drinking.
Evan meditates.

Evan produces a small amount food and water for everyone on the beach, the hooded man politely waves away Evan.

After four hours, Rokko rides his horse back to his camp at the top of the steep hill.

Ishiro, Evan and Sasha makes a lean-to in the jungle with rope and sail canvas and invites Brown Deer to rest in the shade.

The fighter gathers small amount of canvas, makes a bag for his belongings and ties them high up in the palm treeline.

A hooded cloak lays on the beach near the waters edge the man is gone.

what are the chances of finding water in the plant life? through roots and such? to the elf, /d/ There are many ships out there, I don't think this is a good place to stay long [/d]
