Well, seems the threat is mostly over now. We didn't have to leave thankflly, but it was touch and go for a while there. Spent the last two days helping my brother out since he had a foot of water go through his place, and he wasn't even in one of the danger zones. Never seen rain like it.
TN, I didn't even realise you were getting married! Best of luck on the day mate. It's one of the best days of your life (at least mine was hehe).
Cheers

Well, Tanner hasn't posted anywhere since the 31st of December as far as I can tell. He was ill though, with possible pneumonia and so I've given him a few weeks chance to see if he can let us know what's going on.
However, if we don't hear from him by the time I go back to work next week, I'd like to recruit a replacement for him.
Is everyone ok with this?
My biggest concern is that the game will really slow down to the point of death if I have to NPC too many characters. TN is off getting married and has given plenty of notice so that's fine. I think two or three weeks is usually more than enough time for a missing person to give notice though. If others want me to wait longer, let me know and we'll works something out.
If I do recruit, we'll introduce characters at a suitable time.
Cheers

Hey, guys. After a nasty bout with pneumonia I'm back on my feet. Unfortunately, schoolwork has piled up and I am absolutely swamped. I don't have nearly the time I used to. I'm having to drop one of the games I DM and I'm afraid I won't be able to continue with this game. Thanks, WrathDM, for being patient and understanding. I wish I could continue, but I just don't have the time. I wish you all happy gaming, and hopefully I can play with some of you in another game in the future.

For leveling up, how do you want us to handle hp? Any special rules, or do we just roll our hit die here?
Hp are rolled. However, if you get less than half the possible for the roll, then take half instead.
In other words, roll the dice and get at least half or more, then add con mod.
Hope that's clear.
Cheers

Hey Wrath, been following along and I see that you're losing a player, would be interested if you have an opening. I have a concept for an archery focused fighter who's an amnesiac. She woke up in the aftermathe of a battlefield surrounded by dead and has no idea what occurred.
Nice timing Mark. Go ahead and build him/her and welcome to the game. For those not aware, Mark was one of the players in the first PbP I DM'd here. He's a great player so this very much saves me time on recruiting.
Mark, there'll be some time before I can introduce you effectively into the game (At Oleg's most likely), so you've got about a week I reckon. Put a background together and we'll tweek it so I can write you into the plot.
Cheers

Mark, Alannah looks fine. I've never been great on checking mechanics on players sheets though, so if there are mistakes I may have missed them.
I see you've followed the general trend of the group, a female charcter who's name begins with an A. Poor Lev, all alone in the wilds with all these women. hehe.
I'll play with your background this weekend, as far as my end goes at least. If you can get something in your profile for me to work with before then, it'll help.
Cheers

Arianna's been updated, as well.
One thing I noticed while inputing Ari into Herolab was that I never updated her money. I went through the old posts and can't seem to find any mention of it. Maybe i'm going blind, but what did we get from Oleg so far?
NM, I found it in here, was looking in the in-game thread

I'd like to have you sent as backup from the orginal men who employed them, particulalry the big body guard. He feels a particularly strong protective bond to the group, and has recently heard rumours of political maneuverings to try and interfere with their plans. He has sent you to add some muscle, and you have a charter as well, but are travelling on teh quiet to avoid trouble. You'll have arrived at Oleg's with a merchant caravan that the group have already had dealings with. The merchant knows your employer as well, and is aware of your business, but that is all. The group don't know that connection by the way, they just think he's a merchant.
In particular, you are assigned the task of contacting Anya and Lev and letting them know what is occuring. For some reason, the Sword Lords have taken them as the possible leaders of this group, most liekly from their noble heritage.
As for why these people would have sent you, lets say tha the chancelors body guard was the one who helped you off the battlefield that awoke from. Why he was there still remains a mystery to you, but he helped you recover and seems to feel obliged to get you back on your feet. I haven't created a name for him yet, he's Ulfen though, so feel free to create one for him when you do your background.
I have a plot idea for your amnesia that can tie in, but it will be slow in developing and will most likely unveil in flashbacks or dreams initially. It should be pretty damn interesting when it unravels though.
Let me know your thoughts.

Love it, I like the idea of feeling like I owe the only person I can recall helping me and feeling the need to achive their goals. Knowing how you create a story I deliberately haven't thought out her background to much to really get into the feeling of not knowing a past that may come as a shock. She doesn't even know her last name, Silverbow was just given to her because it fits.

Mark, I'm going to write your character into the game while the others are bartering with the old hermit. Keep an eye out for a post later tonight from me that gets you into character. You'll be Oleg's, but this will give you some intro time and let you develop Alannah.
I'll spoiler bits that are private for her, but the rest we can keep public so the others can get a feel for her as well. That will speed up things a bit I think.
Cheers

Just a little advance notice: Friday morning (US time) I'm taking a trip out of town for the weekend to do some old fashioned tabletop gaming with some old gaming friends of mine. So from Friday through Monday I might not be posting so frequently, if at all. It'll be a hardcore four days of gaming and traveling to make up for lost time.
