There's a river that leads into the valley down there a about 2 or 3 miles east. we can follow it into the valley, the hill isn't as steep over there. although that would require venturing into the brush off the path, i'll not stop you if you think your ready.

Taking 10 for the rope tied to my waste. survival rope tie:10 - 1 = 9 This will be fun ;) Would climb be more appropriate for a total of 15. Using rope benefits climbing. Hoping climbing experience benefits rope use.

My suggested plan was for Baylin to lower me down to see if the coast is clear and the others could follow if its clear. But that was what was suggested not sure if the plan might change with party discussion or execution.
Brand quickly and easily moves down hill, carefully climbing down the the edge when it becomes a straight drop. the rope easily holds in all of your grips, turns out goblins aren't that heavy...
Brand reaches the bottom of the chasm quickly, a river in front of you, the water is far more clear than anything you've seen before, the river runs from west to east. you see a large fallen tree ahead of you, the inside hollowed out and smooth. so big everyone could easily fit and walk through it to the other side.
Everything down here seems rather peaceful.
Brand give me a perception check while your down there
Maria climbs down quickly possible faster than Brand. you see the same things, river, the large hollow tree. The tree goes downward into the ground much like a cave entrance. the Forest seems to have cleared up here, not as much brush or bushes, even a bit of light pokes through the tree's. this large clearing seems to be closed off with the exception of the Log tunnel and the cliff you just came down.
If you've already rolled perception don't roll again
You all climb down, Narine included finding yourselves in the small grove. The giant tunnel log leading underground seems to be the only way forward, although scaling the cliffs on the other end of the is an option as well.
