It's just nice having some strapping young heroes in the caravan again, our last two grew up. one left to become a teacher and the other a merchant she answers hobbling off. Looking at the shelves and various wares you see a lot of things you don't recognize, all very magical and odd. Only two things truly stand out an old white staff, Soriel is carved on the side, It's placed next to a black bow a light blue ribbon tied to the middle of it.
GM_IamZero000
A small nixie pops out from under the stand hitting her head on the counter, she rubs the back of her head. She has thick long seaweed green hair, smooth greyish blue scales, wearing only a thin purple silk dress, both her hands and feet are webbed Ouch... um yeah it belonged to an undine who used to travel with us. it's nothing special
Scarlet Brightflame
Scarlet moves toward the staff and casts detect magic.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
What does the staff do?
Scarlet then moves to the door where there room would be and opens it.
GM_IamZero000
Apologies but you do not detect magic, it appears to indeed be an ordinary staff
You open the room, it's dark and dusty as if not used in a long while. A small gas lamp sits on the beside table of each of the 6 beds in the room. The room is rather bare.
Brand Hopespring
Brand wanders around looking at the strange sights with a wide grin.
Brand looks un the direction of the merchant when Scarlet asks about the staff, "I'd love to know about the bow."
GM_IamZero000
The nixie looks down and away quickly, her eyes dart off to the side as if thinking about something. The bow isn't for sale...it's special...a precious memento of someone who left. I made it myself, the arrows it shoots can pierce through glass, stone and wood. My name is Narine, i sell potions and wishes mainly.
Sorry haven't posted much the weeks been a bit hectic, hopefully things pick up again. so what's the plan guys
Brand Hopespring
Brand gathers with the others, "We ah still need to er sleep right? We um should keep to our schedule and um head out in the ah morning." He looks at the others. "I think the warrior woman is the best bet, er something about a er child um who manipulates ah minds is not the ah healthy way to go." He gets real quiet, "Should we talk to Narine about ah lifting the um curse. She might have insight."
Scarlet Brightflame
Addressing Narine,
So you are perfectly capable of removing the man's curse but cannot do so without permission from one of fey lords?
I assume we all go to sleep and head out to the warrior woman fey lord tomorrow
GM_IamZero000
Such are the rules of the fey, no matter how strong you may be to undo anthers work and go against the stories is a crime worthy of treason without permission. Unfortunately Tristan's situation has been recorded and foretold by the stories, if it hadn't been one i would have done it already.
Of course, when you guys are done questioning Narine i'll assume you all go to sleep
Baylin Storysong
I'll still stay up to continue my watch. I my gut says not to trust her completely.
I'll finish my watch then wake up the next person.
GM_IamZero000
You see a lively marketplace, also it seems to be morning. Everyone is doing their own thing and appear to be setting their stall's up for sales. You see the doors you came in through to get in the caravan is now wide open tent flaps. The market is bustling with many creatures and things that seem humanoid enough.
Brand Hopespring
Brand wakes in a good mood. He greets the strangers with a grin and asks where he can get the best breakfast.
He tries to get a look at the wares if anything of interest catches his eye.
When the opportunity presents gathered with the others. "Have we ah made up our er mind about witch court to seek. Perhaps we um can get it marked on our map. I prefer ah the warrior girl to the child manipulator."
Scarlet Brightflame
Scarlet wakes up around the same time as Brand and opens the doors to view the lively marketplace before her.
I agree with Brand.
She then addresses Baylin
Which way, and how far would the warrior girl be? How should we travel
Brand Hopespring
"We need a map. Or at least these courts and local landmarks better understood."
Baylin Storysong
looks at brand
that's a good idea Sleek, I'll look around
will ask around the market and see if any are selling maps of the area. Also if I can find any literature of the area or the Fea.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24 in half the normal time
Brand Hopespring
Brand catches up to Scarlet, "You looking for something? I can help."
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Or not
Baylin Storysong
looks too be thinking
mmm I might have something that can help us.
pulls out Abels old book then looks for a place to read
Give me a moment to look thru this book
Would this be a Knowledge [lore] check?
Lore: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
GM_IamZero000
No check required your just looking through a book.
Flipping through the old books many pages you find a small section written during Abel's younger years traveling. Apparently he spent a little time traveling among a group of wandering fey around this area.
You find on a page a rough sketch of the area, enough to get you around but not enough to confer any bonuses.
As said the section is oddly small when compared to Abel's other very detailed sections on other groups.
Brand Hopespring
"Thunderbeard you found anything in the book?"
Baylin Storysong
Looks like Abel was here during his younger years. In the book he gave me there's a map of the area inside. Let me try to make a copy.
Will attempt to copy the map onto a sheet of parchment.
Brand Hopespring
"Cool um does it have any marking of the general region of the fey court that's ruled by the er warrior woman."
GM_IamZero000
The map is very rough and generic, it marks the locations of the courts and a few other places but lacks detail. it will take a bit of time but you can indeed copy the map.
You find yourself drawn to the singing, and walking into the hills surround the trail. You quickly find yourself at a lake with a many others, one such being Agatha the elderly fey woman, dancing across the lake is Narine the singing clearly coming from her. make a perception check for me.
Scarlet you don't see Agatha anywhere around the location of the Caravan. You do however see Maria wandering outside walking off into the hills for some reason. what do you do?
Scarlet Brightflame
Scarlet starts calling out to Maria and attempts to run to catch up to her.
Maria! Where are you going? Is the Warrior Child that way? Maria!
Scarlet basically just tries to catch up
GM_IamZero000
So Baylin is copying down a map, Brand what are you up to?
you can't believe it but across the lake you see the familiar face of Abel listening in to the performance. You see Scarlet running after you
You follow Maria eventually catching up, finding her and a bunch of other people at a lake. Agatha included. Dancing and singing across the lake is Narine, You sense magic coming from her voice, though not with malicious intent.
Perception check please.
Scarlet Brightflame
What beautiful music... Our family never had slaves that were this good...
Scarlet calls out...
Brand, Baylin, come see this!
Baylin Storysong
holds up his copied map drawing
Ah this looks .. this looks...
Dejected
Terrible
looks up from Scarlets call
Ahem ... I think you meant Thunderbeard and Sleek, BLAZE
Will get up and see what Scarlet is trying to show me.
