I'll be giving my skald a rebuild for this. Regarding rage powers gained via the Extra Rage Power feat, will you allow those be applied to allies via the raging song ability, or just to the skald himself?
Rage power ability of the Skald says they are just for him
If the skald has rage powers from another source, he (but not his allies) can use those rage powers during an inspired rage. He cannot select a duplicate rage power, unless that rage power can be taken multiple times.

Which is why I ask. I've seen some GM's rule--for their campaign--that 'another source' refers to another class' rage powers only, others that it means another class, a feat, etc. There's quite a few rules questions on the subject too.
Edit: Finally found a clear and definite FAQ answer to that. Oh well, still play a skald, just not as buff-happy.

Lol, I had no idea it was one of 'those' things, but I didn't rely on it getting accepted in any case, more because it is an AP trait rather than a generic.
And the relationship would have been more along the lines of a gifted but barely tolerated orphan finding a teacher who looks past the species to the person and finds a protege in the process. Rather like one of those uplifting, feel-good "dedicated teacher mentoring poor student" movie plots.

@azten i'm going to have to say no to variant multiclassing just because i really don't understand it.ALso go ahead with the campaign specific traits so long as they are the ones that are kind of generic
@Sam C. Go ahead none of them seem particularly overpowered to me so go ahead.
@Madcaster They have human life span just to make it simple

Sven needs updating -i'm using a template from other alias- but it's on its way to be finished as soon as college leaves me a bit of time.
Fun fact, there are only three bear like images and the other two are a dire bear mini and an owlbear... I don't know what to do.
Wealth: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 5) = 12
120 gp, enough for what I want!

Just look for a profile pic that has the feel you want or is completely non descript and add an awesome link on the profile page. I don't think anyone would fault you.

Ignore him, The neck tutu is adorable.
I took a look at the trait finding your kin What makes it overpowered? To me it doesnt look all that special, just a bit complicated
Generally speaking, it's rated as one of the very best traits in the game because it literally gives you the effect of a feat (toughness) and a skill rank each level as a favored class bonus. AND You get whatever favored class bonus you can normally get. Being that a trait is meant to be roughly half a feat in worth, it's quite powerful.
| Sam C. |
OOOOHHHHH, well then i can't actually have something like that then. no trait should be as good as a feat.
i should add neck tutu approved
I find the pointy little hat rather fetching, myself.
As for Finding Your Kin, I would like it, and I'd be willing to throw in a second drawback (Family Ties seems appropriate) to pay off the awesome. But it isn't a necessity. Your final verdict?

Here goes Oden, Aasimar sorcerer. I didn't went through all 10-minute points, though.
Appearance: Oden has long silvery hair, tied in a bun and skin just slightly more pale, than that of an average human. He is of slim build, and his eyes are bright blue. There is a complex black tattoo on the right side of his face.
Write five things about your character’s concept and background.
1) Oden was born in a family of the local alchemist. It is no surprise, that he knows quite a bit about making alchemical substances.
2) In his childhood, he was spending a lot of time reading his father's books. They were mostly arcane tomes about magical creatures, potions and spells.
3) After the awakening of his powers, Oden began to practice it every time he got the opportunity. Sometimes it ended up in stuff broken, other times he couldn't even tell what exactly happened. How many times he spilled acid on his skin, he could never count. But, surprisingly, he never ever burned himself with it.
4) Eilifa made a great impression on him. So great, in fact, that he began showing interest in music, which he never did before. Oden bought a flute, and tortured everyone around him for nearly a year, before he finally learned to play the thing. He likes to supplement his tunes with some minor magic tricks he knows - smal wind blowing, dust flying around slowly, all these little things.
5) When he was seventeen, he was thinking about obtaining a familiar for some time already, as a lot of mages do. He never really liked birds or dogs, but was fond of wild animals, like foxes and wild cats. Oden didn't really understood how to get a mage's companion, but he figured that if he would follow his instinct, everything would be fine, so young man went to the forest, searching for some animal, which would catch his eye. After a few hours he bumped into a beatiful fox. It wasn't cautious, surprisingly. Oden mechanically reached to the head of the creature. He felt a warm wave coming from his fingertips all the way through his body. That's when he got himself Kimi.
List two goals for the character that you, as a player, think would be cool to see accomplished in-game.
1) Oden wants to find out the truth about his brother disappearance.
2) Oden always fancied the stories about heroes. He wouldn't mind to become one of those.
Describe three memories that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor.
1) Oden distinctly remembers the awakening of his powers. One late evening, a pack of wild dogs cornered him in of the alleyways. He was frightened, and dogs could feel it. Once they bored barking, one of them jumped at him. He tried to defend himself with his arms, when he felt a strong surge of power. A fountain of different colors sprang from his hands, and next thing he knew - dogs were lying unconscious on the ground, whimpering.
2) When he closes his eyes and plays on his flute, he likes to go back to the memories of the bard, who once came to the town. Eilifa, that was her name, had so many stories to tell, so many knowledge to share. Oden could have listened for hours to her deep, calm voice, accompanied by the sound of a mandoline.
3) Oden remembers vividly his last fight with brother. Usually, they would forget about it in a day or two, since Oden and Gwen were inseperable, and quarrels between siblings are not unusual. But that particular argument Oden regrets more than anything, because that was the last time he saw his brother. Gwen was never found in the village surroundings, and no message was received from him. Oden doesn't know what happened to his brother.

I am very interested in playing a play by post as this will (hopefully) be my first time. Your campaign setting sounds like a great place to make a story from. I do have a few questions though:
When will I know when we have started playing and whether or not my application has been accepted?
How does combat work given that it is hard to represent a grid through text?
I know these are probably stupid questions but I would really appreciate it if you could answer them.

@Scarlet Brightflame
Welcome aboard the PbP train! Take a seat while I explain you the basics.
When will I know when we have started playing and whether or not my application has been accepted?
The custom around these lands is to know acceptance from one day to a whole week after the DM closes recruitmen (which in itself is a set date usually)
How does combat work given that it is hard to represent a grid through text?
It depends on the DM, again. Some of these mysterious masters of eldritch lore weave words that by themselves evoke fields of battle. Other use maps that we can add, some of those we can even move around.
Check my parent alias' campaigns to see a few examples. Languishing in Longacre was theatre of the mind -and therefore tactical combat was less important, even tho we used AoOs and such-, GM Hyde uses maps uploaded to the interweb that we can see, and in Second Darkness we can even mosify it.
@The rest: I love my tutu and party hat, so it will stay. But I will provide a link to a drawing I very much love.

The campaign one of my aliases is in uses one of Google's many apps to store a base image of the fight area, which can then be manipulated in various ways by the players. Got our avatar images as tokens right there, can selectively highlight enemy tokens with various things to denote spell effects, damage, and what not, can even lay out templates indicating spell areas.
That option takes a bit of work though. Another way is get a plain vanilla map of the area, put it up online where the group can see it, give it a set of x/y coordinates like a chessboard, and then, in your action posts, do something like Moving two squares left from J3 to J1, one square up to K1, attacking so-and-so at L1.

@sam C. I've thought about it and i'm going to have to say no, it's just to powerful to reasonably be a trait, i also dislike that it essentially invalidates the toughness feat and does the +1 skill point as well thing. it's just too much.
@EVERYONE Today marks the final submission day, at 9:30 tonight I shall officially stop accepting applications. it was this day last week our recruitment began and well i've seen a lot of great submissions. And i will be reviewing them over the course of today maybe tomorrow. either way you can expect an answer rather quickly.
@scarlet Just keep an eye on the thread here and i'll post the selected pc's

I sort of figured that would be the case when I was informed of how awesome it actually is. No big, alternatives were already decided upon. And Avram Sharptusk, skinwalker is missing from your list. Had to make a few assumptions on some of the background details, or leave them blank, due to sparse campaign world knowledge.

"Ah hi. I'm ah Brand." Looks about sheepishly. He straightens himself up and speaks again slightly more confidently, "Brand Hopespring. Hope I can help."
This is Gnomezrule's alt. I wanted to get my goblin rogue in before the cut off. I will be going over things making sure everything checks out. My rolls are on page 1 of the thread to verify, the results don't show when you quote.
I will be adding a bit if physical description and personality.
