Small Guy 2
Herodotus's shot soars toward the creature at the control panel, but the gargantuan demon flicks its tail and crushes the arrow under it. Resounding through your head, you hear it say, I shall crush you like that arrow, puny crusaders.

![]() |

Fatima drops the charged crystal (gently!) to the ground, and retrieves her wand of shield as she runs in the room and up the stairs, pausing to cast the spell stored within it, and to further enchant her blade. Arcane pool to make it a +2 keen agile wakizashi

![]() |

totally read that wrong, thought the demons were breaking down the door! oops!
Cursing his mis-reading of the situation, Tomas calls upon his fervor to cast Cayden's blessing, feeling his muscles bulge under his borrowed crusader armour. Relishing in the strength afforded to him he darts across the room making a beeline for the demon destroying the controls.
Swift action and last fervour for Bulls strength, then double move to the demon at the control panel

![]() |

oops never mind, read the map wrong, starting from the door wil move 40' up the stairs, cant currently move myself.

![]() |

No worries! There's a lot of stuff going on - there's a couple abrikamdilu, a shemhazian, Ollysta herself is fighting alongside you... Details get missed!
Important note! You are all aware that the shemhazian has 30 ft reach with its tail and 20 ft reach normally. Keep this in mind as you move/shoot/cast spells. This will be your only warning.
The demon lets out a bear-like roar that shakes the very room, and one of the crusader's swords comes flying from her hand to clatter on the ground next to it.
The crusaders charge foward, avoiding the massive mechanism in the middle of the room and calling on Iomedae to grant them the blessing of Iomedae. As they run forward, the demon tears large chunks out of their armor with his pincers. Each bears a deep gash.
The demon next to the control panel dunks behind it, its claws still tearing into it but becoming harder to see as he uses its bulk for protection. He has cover.
The one on the stair laughs madly and throws a large panel at Tomas. It smashes into the side of his head, concussing him slightly by dealing 9 points of damage.

"HSSSST!" Sihir just about jams his hat down over his face as he enters the great chamber just as the shemhazian roars. Then he reaches out and beckons to its shadow....
I try casting a Tenebrous shadow anchor on the shemhazian - so I'll need to know what the light conditions are in here. The Will save DC is 23, or 24 if the light is dim, and the tether's CMD will be 20 (which I sure hope is enough to put up a struggle against it).

![]() |

Vinnie moves up the door and gasps, shaking his head. He focuses on the rat-thing on the control panel, and casts Oppressive Boredom on it! Will Save DC 22 or do nothing! SR check if needed: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 2 = 16

![]() |

Fatima hastens the nearby party members (catching her, Ionwe, Herodotus, and Sihir [EDIT: Vinnie ninja'd me to get in range first! He gets it too!]), then rushes up the stairs to engage the demon on the upper level.
I believe that provokes from the big guy's tail, unless I'm blocked by cover. If he takes a swing, I try to parry. If the little guy closes and tries to attack me, I'll attempt parry/riposte on the first attack.

The combination of Fatima's speed, reflexes, and magical protections allow her to turn aside the monstrous blow with little effort.

Sorry, Sihir, didn't notice you already listed the save DC.
Will Save: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (12) + 18 = 30
The shemhazian gives a wild roar as Sihir attempts to tether it, but it pulls free of the spell.
Herodotus's best shot his the wrecker demon at the control panel squarely in the arm. It coughs roughly, tears the arrow from its shoulder and continues its destruction of the control panel. The other arrows hit the panel itself and bounce off.
The demon on the stairs steps forward to Fatima and swings its pick at her wakizashi with a single heavy blow.
Sunder Vital Strike: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (6) + 21 = 27
Sunder Vital Strike Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (5, 5) + 9 = 19 damage to your wakizashi
The shemhazian shakes the tower in its rage, rubble falling in the area. It swats Ollysta back ten feet, knocking her down and away from her allies.
She stands, the Shemhazian bites her as she does so, and rushes back in to the melee. The other crusaders attack and miss, and the trio all resort to healing themselves with holy power from Iomedae.
Everyone in the room (ie, everyone but Vinnie) takes 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 4) = 11 damage, DC 15 Reflext saves halves.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Reflex: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
The spell barely scratches the demon's hide. It turns its many beaded eyes to Sihir and smiles wide. A wave of negative energy rushes over each of the crusaders and Ionwe.
Ionwe takes 3d8 + 15 ⇒ (2, 8, 1) + 15 = 26 negative energy damage, DC 20 Will Halves.
The crusaders breathe heavily and call upon Iomedae's radiance to heal themselves driving their longswords into the demon once more.
The demon at the control panel quickens his attack on the control panel, pulling parts out quicker as more arrows pepper him.
The wrecker demon next to Fatima leaves her side provoking; take your AOO and hastens to attack Ionwe, aiming its pick at her bow. It takes one deep, studied blow at it.

Finally getting near the top of the stairs, she spits some bloody phlegm to the side she looks up to see the pick of the demon drive down into her bow.

Herodotus, you already acted in this round, so I'll take that to be this current round's action unless you want to change it.
And sorry for the confusion; I bold those I'm still waiting to go.
As Tomas and Ionwe head into the console room, they see a control panel with four octagonal slots in its center, each the right size for a single sacred prism. It is somewhat damaged from the demon's attack, but still intact. Switches labelled "safety", "arm weapon" and "open windows". On each end of the panel, 15 feet apart, are dial labelled "activate weapon".
Loading a sacred prism into a slot is a move action. Arming the weapon is a full-round action that provoke an attack of opportunity. You must turn both "activate weapon" dials at the same time as a standard action. If you wish, you can make an Intelligence check or UMD check to coax greater performance out of the weapon.
Seeing Fatima sidle up beside her and attempt to attack but not score a single hit, Ollysta Zadrian spits blood out of her mouth to say, "What are you doing? Activate the weapon and I will hold this demon off until my dying breath."
With a cough that brings forth blood, it's clear that dying breath is soon. As Ollysta moves, she's moving slower and avoiding putting weight on her left leg. However, her eyes shine with determination.
The demon lets out a mighty roar and whips a hand down. Grabbing Fatima, its hands crush her before slamming her against the machine, and it moves its gaze over the room.
Ollysta brings her longsword down on the demon with a harsh overhand chop, and then calls once more on Iomedae's divine grace.

Wow, literally everyone failed. Someone may want to re-roll?
The entire party feels its gaze rip into them, paralysis locking their bones into place for one round.
The demon at the control panel see the opportunity and takes it, moving to Tomas and brandishing its pick. A few words echo through everyone's mind, Nice armor. A pity if something were to... happen to it.
It tears into Tomas's armor with its pick, trying to dent and tear apart the armor.

Averting Eyes: The opponent avoids looking at the creature's face, instead looking at its body, watching its shadow, tracking it in a reflective surface, etc. Each round, the opponent has a 50% chance to avoid having to make a saving throw against the gaze attack. The creature with the gaze attack, however, gains concealment against that opponent.
Wearing a Blindfold: The foe cannot see the creature at all (also possible to achieve by turning one's back on the creature or shutting one's eyes). The creature with the gaze attack gains total concealment against the opponent.
Ab Stairs - Dead
Ab Console - 56
Shem - 100/246
Ollysta - 60/80
Console Rounds - 4/2

Yeah, I'll use my shirt reroll on this. Am I getting a bonus from somewhere? The Will you rolled doesn't match my character sheet.
Will: 1d20 + 8 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 3 = 25
Was I grappled by the big guy? Or just slammed?
EDIT: Oh, I see, he threw me. The control room is all the way up the stairs, right? How high up is it?

Fatima averts her eyes from the monstrosity...
1 needs a save, 2 avoids: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Fort: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
...and barely shrugs off its gaze.
She runs around the central mechanism, then casts a spell to take on the aspect of a tree lizard.
Acrobatics to avoid AoO (with Panache): 1d20 + 1d6 + 17 ⇒ (7) + (1) + 17 = 25

Suddenly, a bright light begins shining from the doorway, and walking right past Vinnie is a small procession of humanoid children, each one of radiant and perfect features and beatific expressions, wearing the fine robes that might be worn by one of the "Chosen Ones" of Po Li. They almost dance into the room, looking about and shouting in wonderment. Then they look up at the shemhazian, and start shouting gleefully at it.
"Hey! Are you a foo dog?"
"Wow, you're the most beautiful foo dog we've ever seen!"
"We LOVE you!"
"Come play with us!"
"We will read from our jeweled prayer wheels the songs of love for all Creation!"
"Please, allow me to braid your darling tail with chrysanthemum buds!"
"Would you like to see my doll of Lord Tsukiyo? He is woven from real manasaputra hair!"
"Are you a shemhazian? What a BEAUTIFUL name!"
Vinnie and Herodotus may notice Sihir trying to look inconspicuous as he weaves his hands in a manner midway between painter and symphony conductor....
