Alrighty, we'll start going over charop and stuff here.
Basics for character creation:
-Starting level is 4th
-Attributes: Pick them. I want to try something new, and superheroes should be exemplary anyway. Normal limits apply though (max 18, min 7 pre-racial).
-Allowed classes: All Paizo and Dreamscarred Press. Other third party on a case-by-case basis, except Godlings. F~~* Godlings. Everything else by Rogue Genius is already fighting uphill with me too, fair warning.
-Gestalt, but one side must be Vigilante.
-HP is max per level.
-We will be using the following version of Automatic Bonus Progression.
Character Advancement Bonuses
All characters receive the following benefits at levels 1, 9 and 18.
- A +1 untyped bonus to their weak saves. (So it goes from +1 to +9. instead of +0 to +6, meaning your weak saving progression is not a death sentence by 8th level :P)
All characters receive the following benefits at levels 2, 6, 10, 14 and 18.
- A +1 Resistance bonus to all saving throws .
- A +1 Deflection bonus to AC and CMD.
All characters receive the following benefits at levels 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20
- The usual +1 untyped bonus to 1 attribute.
- A +1 Enhancement bonus to four attributes (no more than +2 per attribute on any given level).
- A +1 Enhancement bonus to Natural Armor.
Considering working out something for magic weapons and armor as well, I just don't like Paizo's ABP progression and the rules on separate enchantments.
Other houserules may be incoming.

Blackjack antes up.

I want to build a Shelynite character. I will wait a bit to see what else others make before deciding whether to gestalt with paladin or cleric. The character will be a mild-mannered artist by day, and kick butt for art and goodness at night! I'm really excited by both concepts, that's why I'm hoping you guys make the decision easy if I wait to see what others want to make.
By the way, can a half-elf in a gestalt game choose both sides of the gestalt as favored classes and so get two bonuses a level? It seems like cheating.

Sundakan |

Besides being vigilantes, can you give more information about the campaign?
It's a rough WIP currently. I'm thinking somewhat of a "villain of teh week" format for a while, because coming up with silly dastardly villainous plots is a lot of fun.
As you've probably noticed by now, over-arching plots are not at all my forte. I can write a scene, but plugging that scene into a larger narrative always ends up clunky for me.
As things advance, stakes are likely to get larger. Shopliftings and orphanage burnings turn into city/state/world-wide threats, and single adventures are likely to get longer, but the plots being interconnected will probably be fairly rare.
I DO hope to have a roster of returning characters that hopefully some of you will give a s@@* about, because I like it when you guys just interact with yourselves and others for a while (as evidenced by the fact that our Carrion Crown game has basically gone NOWHERE for a month despite accruing about 100 posts, and I've enjoyed it greatly).
By the way, can a half-elf in a gestalt game choose both sides of the gestalt as favored classes and so get two bonuses a level? It seems like cheating.
This is a question that always comes up, and it's one I keep flip-flopping on.
I think I'll give a tentative yes, unless some insane unexpected interaction of FCBs crops up.

So, uhm, it sounds pretty could but
(a) I don't know what are the rules for Gestalt
(b) I basically haven't read any paizo rulebook since the ACG and it will take time to read the Vigilante class seems it seems big and convoluted.
and
(c) You want a marvel vibe or a DC vibe for the Pc? - I'm kidding I have no idea about comics.

I see no issues with this character, what form of Vigilante were you going, Zealot?
Just make a character you like, Rynjin is already well acquainted with ours ( Blackjack and Psykoblade ), we playtested the class.
On another note, Timothy is a Potter so that might be something to connect to.

You get two classes at 1st level and level up in both (but you're still 4 HD here, not 8). You get the better of all BaB, saves, and skills, and all the class features of both classes.
So, for example, a Ranger/Wizard has: Full BaB (from Ranger), d10 HD (from Ranger), good Fort and ref (from Ranger), good Will (from Wizard), 6+Int skills (from Ranger) and the spells and class features of both. Keep in mind that spell pools are completely separate. A Wizard/Sorcerer needs to keep track of both spell slots.

It's on the SRD, and it's not SUPER complicated, it just has a lot of fiddly Rogue Talent-like bits.

Hmm, what if I went Alchemist/Stalker? Extracts and bombs would give me a lot of utility.

Timothy Fendolas " Psykoblade " |

True though then Blackjack would suddenly become more of a smart guy than the Charismatic guy he was before. Now Im sure the abilities are fine but it would shift Blackjack's focus somewhat.
That And he would end up looking very similar to Jones... like almost exactly with slightly different abilities.

Actual heroes! Sundakan only regrets that the transformation sequences will be nowhere near as hilarious due to the change in identity swapping ( Now its more reasonable. )

Yeah, true. How about Swashbuckler/Stalker? That was my original idea before Scavion swooped in with Daring Champion/Stalker, but it looks like he didn't go with that anyway. :)

Nah, Gonna be an Avenger/Aegis. Gonna have a big Earthbreaker and make people scared of me.

You don't like Rogue Genius Games? My whole world has been shattered...
Would you allow the Aged Oracle Curse and the Clockwork Mystery. The basic premise behind the character is someone who touched something they shouldn't, aged so fast there arms and legs turned to dust, and now has had to repair themselves. Daytime persona will be doddering old person - at night, armoured badass.

Sundakan |

Assume there is one, even though there is not. Call it Innocuous Companion or some such, and it transforms when you do. I don't know WHY this doesn't exist already anyway, considering it's a classic trope.
Also from what I've heard a few of the archetypes suck ass (like Brute) so if anyone wants me to spruce one up, I'm willing.

They both seem pretty cool. I will say for if/when it becomes relevant: You won't be able to use your own class abilities while using Soul of the Machine. I'm leery of remote control spellcasters after the whole Ixrul/Wraith thing.

"I am the terror that gambles in the night. I am the dice that never rolls higher than 2. I am...BLACKJACK!"
Pretty much ready, just need to finalize equipment. Also, I'm wondering if it's worth keeping my signature Up Close/Leave an Opening wombo combo. I'll already be dealing pretty good damage, and most of the best Swashie tricks require a swift action.

Just need to do wealth. Other than that I'm all set. Smashy smashy!
I love that everybody(So far) took Renown.
