Finally looking through the archetypes in Occult Adventures; have we been given any guidelines on how to play the amnesiac psychic?
For those unaware, half of their spell slots (sort of) have to be filled with spells that they cast "yesterday".

Interesting archetype. Since you can keep 50% of the spells known as known spells indefinitely, it can be treated as a memorization caster, with a list of spells 'memorized'. Note that it is spells known yesterday, not spells cast.
For the scenarios that start with your bacon in the fire, you are in the same boat as everyone else: What did you have prepared sitting down at the table? Since it is assumed you are fully rested and memorized when you sit down, the actual events of yesterday does not matter.
For scenarios with post-briefing travel time, you can juggle your spells with spell recollection and some dice rolling. More of a headache, but not that different from the traditional prepared casters.

I have one. My plan is to treat "yesterday" exactly as the last day in each scenario. That seems to be the most restrictive. But for me it works, because he focuses on certain spells anyway.
I think that this is the best way to do it, really. Just record what spells those are on the Chronicle sheet, get the GM's initials, and have it handy when starting the next adventure.

Ahh. I see. In the book, that may make sense, but it's poor web design for the prd.
Anyway, interesting archetype. I actually played a PFS session with one in the group recently, without really knowing what they did, which is why I was curious about this thread.
One of these days, I'll get around to actually reading the occult stuff, and maybe I'll be inspired enough to buy the book and make one of those classes for myself. But not right now - I've just made a bunch of new PCs in recent months, so I'm pretty full up.

Mine is a former priest of Groetus that the Society captured. They cured the madness and unfortunately did not manage to make him remember who he used to be before the cult got to him, but the belief (aka Faith discipline) in the Harbinger of the Last Days remained. Now he's a very pleasant and polite middle-aged gentleman who kindly reminds you to keep in mind that the end is nigh.

That seems unusually restrictive given that there is unlimited time between scenarios (healing ability damage for instance). Would it be that much worse to just allow them to freely choose what spells they want before each mod begins (bear in mind that except at 5th level ) the Amnesiac only gets at most 5 spells as amnesiac spells).
