The last charter subscriber should have his screen name changed to Aroden.

I'd take a salaried position as official Paizo bartender in lieu of any board title.

We keep putting in a requisition for a coffee/alcohol cart and it keeps getting denied :(

That's weird. Changing my Dungeon sub to PF was what got me my charter subscriber title.

Depending on how things worked out, you may actually be legit. I had a similar situation and it turned out there were two subscriptions somehow created, then one was cancelled, and it was the one that would have given me charter. Late last year a similar conversation to this one happened and I brought it up, similarly to how you have done, and... well... it got fixed!

So who knows.

The trick is to apply enough alcohol before making the request. You say the floor is spinning? Gosh, you might spill your drink. Wouldn't a nice, stable, yet portable, surface be handy about now? Sign here.

There was a cutoff to have a paid Pathfinder sub to have charter status (you could still get your free ones, but you had to give a credit card and agree to start paying when the free ones ran out.) If you waited until your converted issues ran out before signing on for paid issues, there was no charter sub for you.

Lantern Lodge Customer Service Dire Care Bear Manager

Anguish, you were a special corner case in that you accidentally were sent two of the same book, and the order that was returned cancelled the sub that would have given you charter status.

Oh, no, we have one... it's just that it starts at the other end of the building, and always empties out before it gets to you.

Apparently, I need to make more field trips to the other side of the building.

I'll gladly help with providing adult beverages at the Paizo offices.

On this topic, I'd be interested in knowing how many people are still charter superscribers.

Are the stairs the reason the cart never makes it down here or is Bulmahn the reason?

Chris Ballard asked how many Charter superscribers were left, which I don't think has the same answer as how many Charter subscribers there are. Thing is, it can flux in and out, as Charter remains as long as the AP subscription lasts, and superscriber changes based on what' s available to be scribed.

Well if I would of known that I would of given my credit card number right off the bat.
My mistake but deep down I know Ive been here since the beginning and Im not going anywhere.

You're correct—my mistake.

There are a lot fewer than 500 Pathfinder charter superscribers, and still fewer Paizo charter superscribers.

Literalist! OK, how about this: do you have any information on the original number of Charter subscribers? Sheesh, some people... :P

Wish I was one. I feel like it's the only thing I miss from my "unapologetic fanboy shill secretly paid by Paizo to heckle and harass Texans, Germans, Finns and Other People Who Actually Care About Balance, Rogues and Jesus Christ" street cred card.

It seems so. Of all the people who posted here so far, I'm the only one with the "Paizo Charter Superscriber" tag. But I can't be the only one, I hope! :)

Paizo should do a little something neat for us, maybe during the 10th year or something. Nothing major, but just a little token or something like that.

Of course, I'm greedy, lol.

Fishing for a golem figure similar to the one that WoW gave to their uninterrupted original subscribers?

'Course, I wouldn't turn one down if they offered it, either... :)

Good to know!

I can only find 13 Paizo Charter Superscribers: Costa, David Cornwell, Dragnmoon, Gary Sarver, gbonehead, Kata. the ....., Nikosandros, M. Sean Molley, Paul Ryan, Russ Taylor, theprofessor, Wizened and Zaister. I'm certain there's others, and it's really hard to tell about the Paizo folks.

The big thing, of course, is the "Charter" part of it. All the others tags can come and go, and the number of Paizo Charter Superscribers could theoretically climb to that elusive value between 500 and 1000, but once someone's Charter tag is gone, that's it, it ain't comin' back. Barring extenuating circumstances (see earlier in thread).

Let's see, it should still be there. Yes!

Can the Charter title be handed down in my will? I'll let my son and daughter fight over it.

They may take our money, but they'll never take. . .our *Charter status*!

(Unless, you know, they decide to).

I should still have my status, but the purple border I used to have has disappeared.

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

The border is on superscribers only.

Here's another!

What is required to be a charter superscriber? I still have my tag, such as it is. I'm pretty sure I was a charter superscriber at one point, but lost that when superscriber status expanded to include cards/minis/map packs. I'm still subscribed to all print product lines.

Edit: Oh hey, I do still have a charter superscriber tag!

Edit 2: Hrm...maybe I'm not. I don't have the fancy purple border. Must just be Bella Sara for which I'm a charter superscriber.

I'm thinking your charter superscriber tag stuck because you have a custom tag. I used to be a superscriber until it expanded to include maps/cards/etc. as well.

I'd still have mine if it wasn't for a few minor issues in the past few years (i.e. layoff, divorce, lousy economy). But I'm MUCH better now. :)
