You can have my Paizo Charter Superscriber tag when you pry it from the cold, dead ruins of my bank account. :)

I was a charter, then I lost my job and the subscription had to go for a few years. It's a shame really because I had started with Dragon back in 1985. I hate breaking streaks.

What is a Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber?

Couldn't find it in the link below and might habe missed it in the thread
http://paizo.com/paizo/about/subscriptions

It's someone that's been subscribed since the very beginning, with uninterrupted service. Basically they had their subscription back when the Adventure Paths first started with Rise of the Runelords's original release, and have maintained that subscription uninterrupted since.

Being a Charter Subscriber in other things such as Setting or Minis is a separate title as well.

Actually, "Charter" subscribers signed up before there was a product to release, if I'm remembering things correctly...

So, hipster Pathfinders?

What makes up "Superscriber" these days?

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

We currently have two types of superscriber: Paizo Superscribers and Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscribers. (Superscribers with charter AP subscriptions are listed as Paizo Charter Superscribers or Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Charter Superscribers, but other than Charter status, they’re equivalent.)

Licensed products (meaning Dynamite comics and WizKids minis) are not required for either superscriber status.

Paizo Superscribers have every Paizo subscription:
•AP
•Campaign Setting
•Modules
•Player Companion
•RPG
•Pawns
•Maps
•Cards
•Card Game
•Tales

The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber tag is currently doing something unexpected, and almost certainly needs an adjustment. We'll get back to you on that.

I would pay my mortgage, electric and phone bills late before I would lose that Charter tag.

I'm not saying I have I'm just saying I would.

(not that I'm necessarily saying I haven't, either :)

Well it seems charter 'status' isn't that unique, you all get a cookie.

Looking at it I thought I had the AP charter subscriber tag, but apparently don't. Coulda swore I kicked up before AP 1 shipped out... then again it was many moons ago and I may misremember it.

I am still an Adventure Path Charter Subscriber. Now it is hidden behind the RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16 tag. I guess I can live with that. :)

Rusty, you may want to get a little oil for that, it's embarrassing for the rest of us constructs.

Good to know!

I can only find 13 Paizo Charter Superscribers: Costa, David Cornwell, Dragnmoon, Gary Sarver, gbonehead, Kata. the ....., Nikosandros, M. Sean Molley, Paul Ryan, Russ Taylor, theprofessor, Wizened and Zaister. I'm certain there's others, and it's really hard to tell about the Paizo folks.

I'll be dropping off that list. The new Tales subscription isn't cost-effective for me so I've asked for mine to be cancelled.

Time for some thread necromancy... Who's still left of us, 8 years later?

And what is this "Pathfinder Companion" tag?

Silver Crusade

Pathfinder Pathfinder Accessories Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

I think it's because the companion didn't actually get folded into a new line at the 2E shift, so well the line is no longer active, the sub just didn't get removed.

And what is this "Pathfinder Companion" tag?

It is a PF1 subscription line that was canceled when it was combined with the Pathfinder Campaign Setting line to make the Lost Omens line for PF2. I see that I still have the tag for that subscription, as I remained subscribed to it until the end. The Pathfinder Companion line combined lore and rules options in a way that was primarily of interest to players, as opposed to the Campaign Setting line that was primarily of interest to GMs. That line blurred towards the end.

And I am not a charter member (as I initially went with D&D 4E and only loosely followed PF1 initially), but by a fluke I got an additional form of Paizo advantage when I subscribed to the Adventure Path line to get the final two volumes of the last PF1 AP. That meant that I got rolled over to the Legacy version of Paizo Advantage, although I have never had to rely solely on that version of it.

The Exchange

Well, I'm also still here even when I lost my charter tag quite some time ago, when I had to pause my subscription for financial reasons. And in the meantime, international shipping costs have unluckily become so insanely high that it just doesn't make any sense to resubscribe.

Basically, buying the pdf here at Paizo and the book over at amazon separately is still cheaper than subscribing.

would have been nice to have a STARFINDER CHARTER SUBSCRIBER tag...

Pathfinder Maps, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Maps, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

I think "Charter" is a modifier to "Superscriber". I apparently have enough Pathfinder subscriptions to qualify as a Pathfinder Superscriber, but I am not a Charter Superscriber because I didn't start up enough subscriptions (indeed, any subscriptions) when PF1 first came out.

I think Starfinder may have had a Superscriber status at one point, but that seems to have gone away as best I can tell, probably when they revamped the Paizo advantage system for Starfinder subscriptions. If it did, then I probably would have lost my Charter status when I canceled the Accessories subscription.

"Charter" was a tag you got for subscribing to the Pathfinder line when all we knew about it was that there will be a Pathfinder line. Basically it was a reward for putting your trust and your money into a new and unknown product at a time Paizo needed it most.

edit: Also I think to remember that you had to pre-subscribe to the Adventure Path line specifically. But I might be wrong about that.

Pathfinder Maps, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Maps, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Yeah, I see now that it is a modifier to any/all of the Pathfinder subscriptions -- so the rare Charter Superscriber is someone who really likes Pathfinder, as they went all in on the game right from the start.

Charter Superscriber, like me?

Superscriber status for me comes and goes, it's currently pretty easy to have. I have not been a consistent superscriber.

Charter was signing up as a subscriber to the very first adventure path which happened in the 3.5ed era when Dragon and Dungeon were taken away from Paizo.

I miss my charter tag.
